Hi Bidhib, thanks very much for your tutorial, I had looked on many sites trying to solve my image merge problem and your was the only that worked. From the Microsoft help there were a couple of key differences - double backslashes for the path but I think the most important part is to merge the file name separately. Thanks, Adrian
Adrian---I've been searching for several videos myself and while I followed all of the directions correctly, it's still having issues. I was wondering what version of Excel and Word you were using so I could be sure I'm using the needed version. Thank you!
Thank you, this worked perfectly for me, Can you please explain the "IF True" and the "\d" in the end? I would just enjoy knowing what those are doing. Thank you very much again.
If true is used to execute the remaining block only if the picture and path is available that help to prevent us from not getting error if there is error in path and pictures, and \d denotes end of line.
Hi, Thanks a ton for this tutorial and it worked like a charm. My requirement is to email customized birthday cards to staffs. I want the picture to be inserted in the mail body rather than add as an attachment. Also the email should go on the birthday dates at a specified time. Will you be able to help me ?
Hiya, what if you don't have a "fn" key on your keyboard and alt + F9 just bring up the menu shortcuts.. Tried just coping in the formula but it wont recognise it
Hi Bibhid, Are the \\ for every \ that is in the path? or just the beginning and end? For example: C:\\Users\kha\Desktop\Roaring Reader Test\\ or C:\\Users\\kha\\Desktop\\Roaring Reader Test\\ I can do everything except get the image to load. The image is a PNG so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Don't know why he had them in the first place, it might have been the way he copied. but you can just copy the full path and paste it on there and skip a lot of what he did. you can just put C:\Temp:\Pictures if that's where you put them and ignore the find and replace from \\ to \. but if you still wish to go your way, it's for every single one, Windows does not do \\. you truly need about 2 minutes of this video to accomplish the task, it was amazing. saved me hours since I had to do 500 QR Codes to match names.
Hi, I am using Mac Laptop and this works perfectly well, while in document, when I sent it via outlook though, the image is not visible and shows broken what might be the issue?
Hello - THANKS for this information but it is not working on my MAC. How do I need to do it for a MAC from Excel to Word? I do not have an "E:" or "C:\\" drive. Mine simply has the name like "mbp-nm\\MAC SSD\\users\\..." Can you please help me? Thanks.
@@bibhidnepal6163 THANKS for your reply. I have tried that but it's still not working. Could I just "insert field" INCLUDEPICTURE instead and link to Path? It seems like the photo is there but nothing displays. Any other options?
Thanks for putting together this tutorial. The fields you put into the instructions above seem to have different spaces between them compared to the video. Which one is correct? As above: {INCLUDEPICTURE {IF TRUE "{MERGEFIELD Path }/{ MERGEFIELD Pics}"}\d} or the video: { INCLUDEPICTURE { IF TRUE"{MERGEFIELD Path }/{ MERGEFIELD Pics}" }\d } Please help!!!! There seems to be 5 different spaces between the 2 above. I have watched it so many times but still can't get mine to work like yours-the best I can do is one photo.
As above: {INCLUDEPICTURE {IF TRUE "{MERGEFIELD Path }/{ MERGEFIELD Pics}"}\d} or the video: { INCLUDEPICTURE { IF TRUE"{MERGEFIELD Path }/{ MERGEFIELD Pics}" }\d } I tried both merge fields copied above. alas, not working used same titles too used path : C:\\Users\\Cosmos\\Desktop\\Downloads
You ROCK!!!!!!! I have 500 name cards to match up, this made it a breeze.
Thanks so much. I follow a lot of tutorial before and none of it works. This works great!!!
Glad it helped!
Thank you! Saved me a lot of time. To me it worked regardless if I used single or double slash in path.

Hello! Thanks, it worked. I need to rotate the image right and left though, how can I do it?
You need to fix the image before adding them using other software.

Try using only single \ and also provide the path only after home folder \\pictures\\img

Do you know how to keep photos oriented properly or keep them from turning on their side?
I'd also like to know, I need my images to turn 90º! Please let me know in case you learned how to fix this. Thanks! :)
Alt F9 is not giving me the braces. Do you have any suggestions?
control F9 is the braces, alt F9 shows the merge field
If possible, please share work book.
I am sorry i deleted it already.

Add \\ in the last part of your path, like this C:\\Users\\Cosmos\\Desktop\\Downloads\\
