    You have an excellent sense of colour and composition. Your works look just gorgeous

      That’s really nice of you. I always try to keep that sense of wonder and childish perspective when I make something. I’m glad you liked the results.

    I like the plastic window detail. I'm more intrigued, though, by your goblins. If you ever do a non-crafting video, you should discuss them.

      Scratch Bashing I’ve given snips of their culture here and there but I eventually want to do lore videos on things related to my games. I have a lot of fun with it.

    I am the Lorax - I speak for the trees. Which you seem to be crafting as fast as you please. 😁 Love the “pasta trees” as well as the oat trees! And the fall color versions especially. That table is looking awesome with all that terrain. The color scheme really ties everything together. 🎨

      MisterTroglodyte awesome. I think I got more build to fit this terrain and then I’ll move on to another fantasy area.

    Great addition with the trees! Great color choices as usual. Spraying and leaving the goblin house on the ground at the end hand me crackin' up.

      Tabletop WitchCRAFT I feel bad sometimes because the last few builds have been the same scheme but it’s because they go together.

      ChaoticStupidGM awesome, try to get the word out and share my videos. Sometimes I feel like I’m going against the current when I make colorful builds compared the the grimmer and darker side of dnd.

      @NakedBatBoy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FrankyDCrafter No, I love your color! It's fantasy after all, and the brightness will make your darker moments more grim by contrast.

    Ooooh, I love how you make the bricks, really clever and helps with consistent size

    • @FrankyDCrafter
      @FrankyDCrafter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jagelsdorf Creates i know I mention it a lot on the video but because of the material and the way I glue it, that last touch of pva glue to cover those bricks is a must. They can potentially fall off if you don’t do it.

      @@FrankyDCrafter I know that problem! I've recently started spraying the glue+black paint mixture with a spray bottle to hold the models better together

    Again, I really love your use of color. I firmly believe it is what sets you apart from others on you tube. I have always felt that fantasy games were hurt by their dedication to dark and gloomy if everything is dark and gloomy then where is the real impact for when it actually turns dark and gloomy? Good job franky.

    • @FrankyDCrafter
      @FrankyDCrafter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Allen Flud you guys are so awesome!!!! I battle with that constantly because I know what people play, but I love playing because of the fantasy. Thank you for this comment. I needed to hear this!!!!

    • @TimLewallen
      @TimLewallen 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on the setting and races involved in your game. Traditional D&D elements such as wood elves, druids, etc. are all about green grass, sunshine and buzzing honey bees. :D

    • @allenflud
      @allenflud 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is the dependence on setting and races the should determine the artistic elements of you story, just as a film might. Your story may start in colorful serenity, transition through the monotone monotony of a barren wasteland, and finish in a nearly monochromatic world of fire or ice. Each of the visual ques perpetuated by the story, description and table top terrain. Now on the other side perhaps your environment demands dark and gloomy, or perhaps you wish to invoke the sense that you are in a video game with its hyper color and surreal environments that contain oddly shaped trees and bizarrely manifested creatures. Its okay... it's all just as wonderful and entertaining as you and your group are willing to let it be. I think a game like dnd, demands a serious tone to create tension, tension without whimsy can, and often does lead to a stressful or tired game, as before long your players begin to believe, that there is only a worst case scenario. Let color and form on the table help set up a grander arch, and like the spoiled innocents of children, the spoiled beauty of color and wonder is far more tragic because of the sweetness lost. Have a great day and enjoy your time with your friends and stories. Just be responsible right now and stay safe.

    These are such fun looking builds. They have a real fantasy look to them, evoking a child-like sense of wonder. But (there had to be a but coming), using the fragile foam cups as foundations for the house structure just had me cringing.

    • @FrankyDCrafter
      @FrankyDCrafter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jennell Jaquays the cups weren’t bad, I chose sturdy ones and then when based they are actually tough. I also added a few layers of pva glue to them with the baking soda. I’ve dropped them as you can tell at the end of the video and they seem fine.
      But you are right, that’s why I keep repeating myself on the video about adding those pva glue layers. The make a difference.
