Love listening to the chef/owner talk about their food, especially when they have the skill and the passion. I personally don't eat a lot of asian food... but that place looks like it would be a good place to try it out. Great video Dan!

Love 8 East! The short rib dumplings are great. So is the brisket fried rice. I really liked the Dan Dan noodle dish too. I can’t wait to go back to try more.

I looked at their menu, it is really small compared to other places. However, I could load up on the small plates and be done with it. I love fried tofu, the butter mushrooms and stir fried green beans sound great

But most the stuff we had weren't on there anyway. So will definately go back to try the other items available during happy hour.

Not too spicy, almost asked for a 2nd bowl of rice. But getting back to this vid. Sorry dude but I'm not ever paying $12 for 2 bao's...not ever!! Don't vare how good they taste. Trying to locate the vid you made show casing Filipino fusion cuisine. Will try & go next time I'm there. Keep making those vids regardless !!
I'm generally skeptical when it comes to "Asian Fusion" cuisine. However, this food looks pretty good. I'm one of the few people that does not really care for Momofuku. I've tried to like the place in both Vegas and NYC but I just cant come around to liking their food.
Cumin is probably the flavor you are referencing when you say it tastes "Mexican". Cumin is very prevalent in Chinese cuisine as well, I am assuming you are just more used to it in Mexican/New Mexican cuisine.

The chef/owner also runs LeThai on East Fremont. Easily the best Thai cuisine I've had. The food there looks very good, although expensive.
