I don't know how you can say the special effects were bad at all in that film. Everything looked like it had similar quality to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but probably better because its newer stuff. And the floating head to me wasn't bad CGI. It just didn't look aesthetically pleasing and looked out of place so it felt a little silly at first. I mean it's literally a big floating child's head. @@eliasrodriguez1419 In the entire MCU? I’d say that their inevitable connected universe became both it’s greatest strength and it’s worst weakness. A crutch and a novelty that wouldn’t hold up forever- especially since they didn’t really plan much further ahead beyond the foreshadowed Infinity War saga- and by then, the signs of fatigue had already begun to show... especially in the CGI department.
0:36 It was most likely because they were definetly running out of the budget at the end, causing them to have to use low level Cgi. This movie was fantastic though, you must admit.
I disagree, It wasn't fantastic, it was pretty overrated imo, Why? You may ask? Well the CGI wasn't the only bad thing, The way they depict Wakanda like some sort of utopia, like, they elect their leaders by seing who is the better fighter, which is just dumb or how the leader can do whatever he wants without some sort of cheks and balances, something to make sure he doesn't become tyrannical which is what happened when Kilmonger got in charge. The main villain (kilmonger) is also not a good villain ( Let me sell a bunch of nukes to white people, so whites kill one another, WHAT IF THEY USE THEM TO NUKE AFRICAN COUNTRIES?) also why does Michael B Jordan look tired af, in this movie? Also T'challa's sister is annoying, and edgy, like how she calls bilbo over here a colonizer, Black panther himself was the best part of the movie though, but it was so dumb how he invested in some community center instead, of helping African Countries. The ape guys were interesting, i laughed my ass off in that one scene where they where barking like apes, Mostly because I found it ironic that the producers thought it would be appropriate to have black people do that, other than, the movie wasn't horrible it was just "Eh" in my opinion, There is worser MCU content, the marvels, Captain Marvel, She-hulk, Ms Marvel, Ant man 3
@@FOAB-CarlosYoure questioning all that in a universe where radiation gives you powers instead of cancer, where everyone can build an entire suit with lasers and stuff out of nowhere, pretty sure most of those things are surreal but realistic at some point
Well, funny enough he didn't notice anything. The grab bar isn't floating, it has other points of contact with the ceiling and another bar that's painted grey. He thought he found something but he didn't. If he went frame by frame he would've noticed that
That Shang-Chi example is very laughable. The "Iron" or the Grab Rails, as their called, have multiple points of contact with the interior of the bus. They're not floating. They are attached to the ceiling of the bus, the floor of the bus and even other rails of the bus. He cut through the yellow part of the rail, but both parts are still attached to other parts of the bus. And even complain the small mistakes. If I don't like it, I don't complain. I'll just watch other movies. If it's too bad, well then just shut up
Looking how the quality in the CGI dropped as the MCU progressed years later is just crazy and look at the Monsterverse's CGI, you can tell that the VFX artists were treated properly due to how amazing and consistent it looks with each film, especially the recent Godzilla Vs. Kong movie back in 2021(Considering each film takes 3-5 years), cannot wait for Godzilla x Kong The New Empire though.
Actually if you pause the video and click 0:06, you can see that there's another grey bar attached to the top of the bar The maker of this video thought that it's a cut (because the cut below that is grey) 😂 So it's actually not a mistake at all
Try to slow down the video a little bit and pay attention closely to see that there’s a bar floating. I personally don’t think it’s that bad since it’s not very noticeable
@disgustang1279 nah that's where the grey, horizontal handrail meets the vertical yellow one. The only cgi is where the metal is red hot from being sliced
I remember having this weird experience in the theater during Thor when I saw the head. I thought “oh well maybe it’s just my theater”. Because legitimately, there is another theater near me that does 4K screens and some movies have legit looked better there. But then it occurred to me: wait a minute, even if this isn’t a 4K screen, this is supposed to be where the picture is the absolute best it can be. So… So WTF was this?!
The Shang chi pipe isn't floating... you can see from previous shots some of the pipes have silver things wrapped around the top. If you mean the middle, those pipes are probably strong enough to hold his body weight, bus handles aren't that flimsy
Shang chi fight is exactly why i love spider man. In the scene he uses a ladies laptop for combat and she yells "NO". If it was spider man in that scene he would have never did anything like. We love our heroes because we find them relatable. Now i don't give two shit if shang chi is a good guy or bad guy. BOY YOU DESTROY MY LAPTOP I'M PULLING THE GLOAK OUT💀
You know your movie needs a cgi team upgrade when a damn bionicle movie did a better combat cgi despite being from early 2000's, with pretty limited budget and most likely less than a year to make.
I've always said this and I will die on this hill. I can get by bad CGI if the story is good enough, but the most recent MCU films have been lacking in that department as well. Shang Chi was the last MCU film where I genuinely had a fun time watching throughout.
The CGI problem is mainly because of the rapidness of the releases that it’s either, get tired and overworked doing cgi on a bunch of projects, or get sleep and get fired
This is false advertisement, and not only that, misleading… If it REALLY was every scene with bad CGI, then the entire Quantimania movie (from start to finish) should be here
Throw in the whole “younger generation disrespecting the older generation” to the mix you forgot the dr strange 2 eye at the end, that was the worst of the lot
Okay so the first complaint makes zero sense. Number 1, that's not bad cgi, because the CGI itself is completely fine, it's just that it doesn't make sense. But number 2 it does make sense because the top half of the pole is still attached to the roof, the part of it up top that looks like a second cut is a grey band on the pole, you can see other poles have them in the previous shot. For Doctor Strange and "Ms Marvel" (that's Yelena lmao nice one), the cgi isn't the problem, it's the blending of the real footage of the actors on a green/blue screen. Also even if it was two weeks ago, using the dead and terribly unfunny berserk skeleton meme is more cringe than any of the scenes you chose. Also "nothing is worth fun than your bad cgi" makes precisely zero sense as a sentence. Nice one.

The ape guys were interesting, i laughed my ass off in that one scene where they where barking like apes, Mostly because I found it ironic that the producers thought it would be appropriate to have black people do that, other than, the movie wasn't horrible it was just "Eh" in my opinion, There is worser MCU content, the marvels, Captain Marvel, She-hulk, Ms Marvel, Ant man 3

if you look closer, the top gap in the bar is actually another bar attached to it, its just colored the same as the back.
Well, funny enough he didn't notice anything. The grab bar isn't floating, it has other points of contact with the ceiling and another bar that's painted grey. He thought he found something but he didn't. If he went frame by frame he would've noticed that
0:08
That was so perfectly timed that I shook from my own chair.
If you've never been on a bus, that's fine but at the very least, understand you're ignorant to bus grab rails instead of trying to critique a movies CGI for something the artists behind the CGI actually got correct.
@@dsharp4763 they're not floating though?

I remember having this weird experience in the theater during Thor when I saw the head. I thought “oh well maybe it’s just my theater”. Because legitimately, there is another theater near me that does 4K screens and some movies have legit looked better there.
But then it occurred to me: wait a minute, even if this isn’t a 4K screen, this is supposed to be where the picture is the absolute best it can be. So…
So WTF was this?!

I can’t believe the academy didn’t recognize Eternals vfx but they did for No Way Home and Shang Chi
Nobody liked Eternals. That's why it was overlooked.
You know your movie needs a cgi team upgrade when a damn bionicle movie did a better combat cgi despite being from early 2000's, with pretty limited budget and most likely less than a year to make.
Shang-Chi gets a pass because that's literally the best fight scene in the entire MCU.
Now it's the hallway fight scene from GOTG 3
If it truly was "every scene with bad CGI", it should contain 90% of Phase 4 material.

Nice one.
