I would have agreed if this was a few fights ago and he wasn't ranked #2 in the WBA. Giron is decent but he has fought as low as 111 lbs and probably shorter than even tank; he's probably a natural featherweight at best. Floyd is talking about fighting guys like Shakur, Edwin De Los Santos, and Andy Cruz next which are all HUGE stepups in competition. Floyd needs more experience with natural lightweights.

He needs more ring wisdom before calling out Tank or Shakur. Based on this fight, my guess is that Tank would be up on the ropes setting up for his back flip by round 8.
Floyd never looked like he was allowed to have fun in this fight, he's father was like a bad rash all over him. Fathers need to know when take the middle ground and leave their emotions at the door it really messes with the flow of a fighter.
He didn't want his son to get knocked out. His Dad was right in his tone and in his advice. As we saw in round eleven there was a good chance he could have been stopped after being hurt, and he continued to bang inside with a strong chinned puncher who was desperate.

But you also have to give the fighter some space to breathe, very often that very connection of father- son can create too much of an emotional response when actual logic is needed. Think about it. You come back to the corner as a fighter who has just been buzzed and your dad is screaming at you, you have no idea what the hell he is screaming...at that point, you need simple clear instructions from your corner as to what you need to do, you do not need to be told off. And the proof was in the pudding...that's why he went and did the same thing again after being buzzed and got into trouble again. 🤣 Good fight though
