Problem with matching up this environment is your missing the opposition factor. That is, competing side by side, athletes will make decisions that they wouldn’t in other circumstances. For instance, doing unbroken thrusters at an end of a workout to win it.
I would love to see another team besides Rich et al. Its like beer, once there was only Premium style beer, then craft beer came along. Craft beer for life.
I’m an Annie fan so i hope so. Maybe unpopular opinion: I’ve enjoyed the CrossFit games for over a decade but i don’t think its good for any sport to repeatedly have the same top podium finishers 3+ years in a row

The smaller teams are in a sport, the more the same people will always win. Look at all the individual sports out there. Almost always the same couple people at the top. Usually there are just a few people that are head and shoulders above the rest.
Yeah that guy riding the Electric Unicycle is actually from Portugal, he's the only other active rider in Iceland I know about, also he's done over 10000 km on that wheel, its his daily driver. Pretty Impressive.
I think that Mayhem has been working together longer and has stronger/faster team movements. They can move together and cycle almost as a second nature. Their team movements are really smooth.
The scores are so close! It is great to see as Mayhem are now the equivalent to Mat Fraser winning his 110th games first title. Yawn. lol. New team, new challenge, more light on the teams is great to see as CrossFit media overall tends to be individual focused. Also thanks for the Khan content #droool❤

I see her similarly to Kristi E. O. That's why I said her output needs to match Annie's. Put in another way, think about Brooke Wells. For Brooke to get to the podium, her output needs to match Tia's if she wants to get on the podium. If her injury hadn't happened, I think she would have been 4th-6th place in last year's Games. We'll see if she has closed the gap/matched the output of Tia to propel her to the podium. And, we'll see if Lauren's output matches Annie's to propel the team to the podium.
Mayhem have more experience and with both rich and cournoyer i think they might edge them out on fire power aswell. And nisler and taylor are both powerhouser aswell

In 2024, after Rich retires in 2023, they will place first (assuming Annie doesn't jump back to an individual competition). This will be a gradual process. No way will they take first in their first time together.

I think Annie’s team will do well, but in my opinion Oslo Blue will be a bigger threat to win the whole thing. , They are being mentioned but they don’t have any pressure on them. Mayhem and Reykjavik does, so I think Oslo will do really well. However, I still think Mayhem will win.
I think it will really depend on the programming. Dave's team programming seemed very well rounded for testing teams while other competitions seemed to have a lot of individual work for team events. I'm hoping that the team events test teams and not just individuals on a team and if they do I think Mayhem will still be on top.

Mayhem (Rich) has so much team experience now and Sam has been training with them for quite awhile as an individual so he knows them well and they know him. They have the communication under pressure as a team (3 of them) down. Annie's team doesn't have that team games experience yet. Being in your comfort zone doing well is one thing ....
Can't play the shoulda, woulda, coulda... I'm excited to see them out there and hopefully they figure it all out when it really counts. Mayhem is a well oiled machine and they are fit and know how to strategize. Also let's not sleep on team MFLH.
Hah, I sleep like Khan.... on the belly with pillows in a similar configuration, and MUST HAVE my feet hanging off. But since I'm 6' 4" tall with long legs, my feet naturally hang off every mattress, even on our oversized Cal King bed. If my feet stay on the mattress, my ankles will hurt.
I think team Reykjavik will push Mayhem which will only be good for the team division. It was way too one sided last year….. Having said that Froning is the GOAT for a reason and I can only see one winner !!!
