I came up with some patterns for adorable clothes that fit this cute guy. I'm posting them here so people don't miss out on them. I worked all clothes with the same hook and yarn thickness as for the frog. You can adjust the number of stitches if you're using a different yarn. Overalls/dungarees Ch 10. Sl in the first ch to form a ring. Be careful not to twist. Rd 1: Ch 1, sc 10, sl st to the 1st st. (10) Cut yarn on the 1st one, leave a bit of a tail. Make 2. Don't cut yarn on 2nd one! Rd 2: Hold both pieces next to each other and sl st to a sc of the 1st pant leg you made (the one where you cut the yarn). Ch 1, sc 10. Now sc 10 on the second leg. Sl to 1st sc. Rd 3: Ch 1, sc around. Sl st to the 1st sc. (20) Rd 4: Ch 1, sc 19, inc. Sl st to the 1st sc. (21) Rd 5: Ch 1, inc, sc around, sl st (22) Put pants on your froggy, the inc at his little backside. Ch about 10 for the first strap, adjust length to your needs. Count 8 sc from the sc in which your chain starts. Attach chains to the next st with a sc. Sc 3. Ch the same number as for the first strap, attach with sl in the sc next to the first chain. You want it to count like this: Chain starts in st 1. Count 8 sc that remain unworked, attach strap to 9th st, 4 sc form the bib, count 8 st (unworked), second chain attached to the last remaining st. Cut yarn, leave a bit of a tail. Sew the inner loops of the first 2 or 3 chains of the suspenders together on the backside (optional). Weave in all ends. I close the little gap that remains in the middle of the crotch with the yarn end from the first leg at this point. Vest Ch 6. You want your beginning tail to be about 3 inches long. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining st. (5 st for the rest of the pattern) Rows 2-3: Ch 1, turn, 5 sc. Row 4: Ch 3, turn, skip 2 st, 3 sc. Row 5: Ch 1, turn, 3 sc, 2 sc in the gap formed by the 3 ch. Rows 6-13: Ch 1, turn, 5 sc. (You may put the vest on your froggy at this point to see if you may need 1 or 2 more rows to fit.) Row 14: Ch 3, turn, skip 2 st, 3 sc. (If you added an uneven number of rows: ch1, sc 3, ch 3, sc in the last st.) Row 15: Ch 1, turn, 3 sc, 2 sc in the gap formed by the 3 ch. (If you added an uneven number of rows after row 13: ch1, 2 sc in the gap formed by the 3 ch, 3 sc.) Row 16-17: Ch 1, turn, 5 sc. Ch 1, cut yarn, leaving a tail about 3 inches long. Pull through and tighten. (If you added an uneven number of rows after row 13: weave in end, attatch a piece of yarn about 3 inches long at the top stitch of the last row.) Put the vest on your froggy and tie a little bow with the yarn ends. Trim them to a length that allows you to retie the bow later and seal the ends with a lighter (I use acrylic yarn). Alternatively, you could sew on a tiny button (I want to make one out of polyclay) and make a small loop on the other side to close it. Or weave in the ends and leave the vest open. Scarf Ch 36. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and remaining ch. Weave in ends. Shirt and dress Shirt Ch 18, close to form a ring, sl in 1st ch. Be careful not to twist. Rd 1: Ch 1, sc 3, ch 2, skip 2, 7 sc, ch 2, skip 2, sc 4. Sl st to 1st sc. Rd 2: Ch 1, sc 3, 2 sc in gap, sc 7, 2 sc in gap, sc 4, sl st to 1st sc. Rd 3+4: Ch1, sc around, sl to first sc. For a shirt do one more round of sc. You can even create little sleaves by sc around the arm holes, but i find it looks better without. For a dress, add 2 more rounds: Rd 5: Ch 1, (2 sc, inc) x6 Rd 6: Ch 1, (2 sc, inc) x8, sl st. Weave in all ends. Skirt Ch 18, close to ring with sl st. Don't twist. Rd 1: Ch1, sc around. Sl st to 1st sc. Rd 2: Ch 1, (2 sc, inc) x6. Sl st to 1st sc. Rd 3: Ch 1, (3 sc, inc) x6. Sl st to 1st sc. Cut yarn. Attach yarn to 1st ch of first 18 ch. Ch about 10, more or less as needed. Count 6 st around the waistband, attach strap to the 7th with sc. 3 sc. Chain as many as in the first strap. Attach next to where the first strap was attached in the beginning. Sew inner loops of first 2 ch of the straps together in the back (optional). Weave in all ends. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask! If my English is a bit off: Sorry, I'm not a native speaker. I hope all is understandable though.
My adult daughter "stole" my first froggy with all his/her clothes. She wears him on her bag and changes his clothes every day. Now I have several orders from her colleagues. 😅
@@SweetSofties i made one 2 days ago and already lost count of how many people told me they want one, you did an incredible job with this tutorial 🤍 thank you sooo much. tonight i am making your granny square chicken! i saw it and i instantly knew i needed one right away. please never stop making these insanely cute patterns 🤍🌸
@@porrokin3588 Aww that is so sweet to hear! Hope you have fun making the granny square chicken tonight. Stay tuned for more cute patterns and tutorials!
I accidentally used a size down in the yarn (friends cotton 8/4), everything else was the same size. My bean son is tiny and perfect, his eyes are HUGE, and I love him
Okay, guys. I've been crocheting for a few hours and I'm about to die of cuteness overload. I came up with patterns for the most adorable pair of dungarees you have ever seen, a scarf, a vest and a shirt. I'm embarrassed to tell you what time it is, so I won't. Tomorrow I'll crochet a few more pieces, tidy up the crochet patterns and then I'll post them here.
I have lots of cute and free keychain patterns here...take a look and see what Mom might like! www.sweetsofties.com/2023/06/free-crochet-keychain-pattern-roundup.html
excited to finish this! I keep messing up because when I try to count someone interrupts me and then I free style and end up with a billion more stitches... thanks for the video!
@@eastward98 Use a stitch marker! Then you can count the stitches of the current round whenever you were interrupted. I couldn't crochet anything without excessive use of stitch markers lol
I don't have present for my mom so this and some cookies should do in the short time I have before the visit. I used 6mm eyes and did 3 toes instead of 2 and it turned out really cute actually! Its little hands look like clovers and that just makes me so giddy for some reason haha Thanks for the pattern!
For anyone else like me who showed up a year after this video was made, and can't seem to find this yarn in medium weight, Hobbii lists the friends cotton 8/8 yarn as light worsted. But medium. Since I'm new to this, I'm not 100% certain that it is the same, but the weight looks the same in pictures on the website 😊
Medium weight yarn is a confusing term since there's thinner and also thicker "medium" weights! If you saw Friends Cotton 8/8, that's the right one for medium weight!
Can you please do a tutorial for one of those pinterest frogs? The ones where you can move their body with wire and stuff. But in this miniature size please
It might also be that we’re crocheting in the round! The rows stack on top diagonally which would explain the skew. Instead you could try slip stitching and doing chain one before the next sc round so that your color change will be even and you can hide the slip stitches on the back of your frog! Hope this helps
You probably screwed up the color changes. When you do the last stitch before you want to change color, the last loop you pull through your stitch has to be the new color yarn.
Exciting news! Crochet kit for this project is available at: yarnsea.com/en/project/2126/huggy-frog

Rd 3+4: Ch1, sc around, sl to first sc.
For a shirt do one more round of sc.
You can even create little sleaves by sc around the arm holes, but i find it looks better without.
For a dress, add 2 more rounds:
Rd 5: Ch 1, (2 sc, inc) x6
Rd 6: Ch 1, (2 sc, inc) x8, sl st.
Weave in all ends.
Skirt
Ch 18, close to ring with sl st. Don't twist.

Weave in all ends.

ever since I've started crocheting, I've been having a hard time to make a magic ring, so the other method really helped me!
