*Looked* fantastic. Unfortunately the extreme winter we had here (at least in my part of the country) has killed pretty much 90% of my gardens (both front and back) which I have been growing and nurturing over the past 14 years. Absolutely devastating and very upsetting.

@@veedub80099 My garden is only 3 years old but I feel that. It's definitely made me reevaluate what it's actually worth planting long term.

@@greatnorthernexotic absolutely mate, especially at the prices these sort of plants are getting to nowadays it’s an investment I probably wont be making again! Although I am not one for wrapping everything into oblivion to get through winter - I’m of the mind if it can’t get through winter without any or minimal protection then it’s not hardy and best left to the real enthusiast or botanical gardens!
We had 3 nights of -10C here in December, the last of which was -10.7C !! My Trachycarpus all sailed through pretty much untouched by it (absolutely bomb proof in my opinion) also the Jubaea chilensis (totally unprotected) seemingly got through it with minimal frond damage, however virtually everything else has either been totally killed or at very least cut to the ground by it. We shall see what has actually survived come summer/autumn and I may make an update video then if not too depressing!
All the best with your garden, take care

I half filled this raised bed with building rubble left over from the building process of the garden, then I topped it up with a high quality top soil which I mixed roughly 50:50 with horticultural grit. The border was then planted and mulched with around 1 1/2” of Cornish granite chippings.
