Yup, this genre is relatively not common in kpop usually brought by western artists called salt pop & famously sang by billie eilish. Maybe already sang by some solo artists in korea but not for girl group, probably purple kiss is the first group to bring it so.
Rbw knows how to find diffrent concept on the saturated kpop market. Start from jazzy golden age style to sexy ballerino to this? They're genius

If you wanted to look for other music like this, it’s a kind of niche genre that hasn’t taken off much outside of Europe and the US called SALT pop. It’s very gritty, bass-heavy, and also apparently made for Purple Kiss!

Honestly. I have never heard a debut intro song sound like this...O.O They are truly coming for the crown they got to the crown even without debuting tbh. They were nominated for 'Best New Artist' in the 2020 Asian Pop Music Awards alongside big groups that have recently debuted. They did this before debut idk about you but that's telling me the music industry CEOs etc. and the general public knows about them to that extent.
