    $750,000 / yr is a lot.
    It’s a 10% raise AND US taxes instead of BC taxes, so that’s another, what, 11%?
    20+% more? That’s a big chunk of money.

    Elias wasn't penny pinching - he wants a cup and knows he won't get one on a Canadian team. Also CAD vs USD

    • @thereal_markymark
      @thereal_markymark 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All NHL players get paid in USD, also team accounting for revenues, and operational budgets are reported in USD by Canadian teams to the NHL even though they make CAD revenue. What’s a difference is the rate of income tax in most of America (and especially no income tax states) as compared to Canada’s rather high income tax rate. Hence you’ll see players quite keen on going to Florida, Nevada, Tennessee, and Texas.

    It's a big chunk of cash he is actually gaining... But man... Of all the teams, why Boston 😂
    Boston will be back in for next season. Got a real #1 center again. And I expect that was a big part of his signing. Boston is offering top line minutes. Vancouver was offering what? 3rd line minutes with some PP time?

    Great job Allvin! You addressed Meyers ahead of Z and messed up!He brought far too many intangibles to let him walk. The fanbase will never let you forget this! For one second did you not consider what you gave up to acquire both Lindholm and Z? What a joke!

    • @Seriously_Unserious
      @Seriously_Unserious 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Alvain did not "LET him walk!" Alvain offered Zadorov the EXACT SAME AAV as Boston did, but Zadorov decided Vancouver's $5 mil AAV wasn't good enough for him and took the same exact amount from Boston. That's a huge FU to Vancouver, and NOT in the LEAST Alvain's nor Rutherford's fault! How the HELL could they possibly know both players, but especially Zadorov, would turn out to be such jackasses! Alvain and Rutherford negotiated with Zadorov in good faith right up to the deadline. How could they know he'd reject their dollars only to accept the same exact dollars from another team?! What? Do you expect them to read minds?!
      Know what you're talking about before you type, and place the blame where it truly belongs!

    • @darcypadgham7076
      @darcypadgham7076 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Seriously_Unserious I did read every report and everyone stated that Allvin went off script by re-signing Meyers before Zadorov. Allvin discussed that with Z and his agent and why they were giving Allvin time. They were blindsided and eventually Z will spill it out. Zadorov is an honest guy that tells it like it is. I'm not here to convince anyone as the truth will come out. This is an open board so please don't tell me what I should be doing before posting! Why some people feel that it couldn't possibly be Allvin's fault is beyond me! 😉

    I'd have Zadorov with McAvoy and Lindholm with Pasta. This improves the play all around. Have you considered that the scenario in BOS (ie being a #1 center, etc) is preferable? I doubt if it was all about $750K, but that's an incentive- sure!
