Great video! Pepennedy is a project with an interesting idea. Looking forward to new announcements from the team.
Watch both Linholm and Zadarov interview. They both stated the Bruins CULTURE/ locker room was biggest reason for signing in BOS.
You are forgetting about taxes. He is keeping way more than 750k a year by moving there. Smart move
Yeah...nah. The scenarios are not the same. He obviously wants to be that guy, and BOS is looking for that guy.
$750,000 / yr is a lot.
It’s a 10% raise AND US taxes instead of BC taxes, so that’s another, what, 11%?
20+% more? That’s a big chunk of money.
bruh all defenseman besides mcavoy are 6’3” or taller with two 6’6” defenseman
So what. Can they skate? Bruins offense sucks. We needed Offense ALL offense...Sweeney screwing us again
@@davidselawsky6620 I’m not gonna bother with you since your view of the team/management is fixed
@@davidselawsky6620can’t you skate?
Elias wasn't penny pinching - he wants a cup and knows he won't get one on a Canadian team. Also CAD vs USD
All NHL players get paid in USD, also team accounting for revenues, and operational budgets are reported in USD by Canadian teams to the NHL even though they make CAD revenue. What’s a difference is the rate of income tax in most of America (and especially no income tax states) as compared to Canada’s rather high income tax rate. Hence you’ll see players quite keen on going to Florida, Nevada, Tennessee, and Texas.
I'm willing to bet they don't call him "Big Z" in Boston.
Amar❤❤❤
It's a big chunk of cash he is actually gaining... But man... Of all the teams, why Boston 😂
Boston will be back in for next season. Got a real #1 center again. And I expect that was a big part of his signing. Boston is offering top line minutes. Vancouver was offering what? 3rd line minutes with some PP time?
penny pinching 750,000*7 is over 5MILL i am so glad he didnt sign with the nucks
Great job Allvin! You addressed Meyers ahead of Z and messed up!He brought far too many intangibles to let him walk. The fanbase will never let you forget this! For one second did you not consider what you gave up to acquire both Lindholm and Z? What a joke!
Alvain did not "LET him walk!" Alvain offered Zadorov the EXACT SAME AAV as Boston did, but Zadorov decided Vancouver's $5 mil AAV wasn't good enough for him and took the same exact amount from Boston. That's a huge FU to Vancouver, and NOT in the LEAST Alvain's nor Rutherford's fault! How the HELL could they possibly know both players, but especially Zadorov, would turn out to be such jackasses! Alvain and Rutherford negotiated with Zadorov in good faith right up to the deadline. How could they know he'd reject their dollars only to accept the same exact dollars from another team?! What? Do you expect them to read minds?!
Know what you're talking about before you type, and place the blame where it truly belongs!
@@Seriously_Unserious I did read every report and everyone stated that Allvin went off script by re-signing Meyers before Zadorov. Allvin discussed that with Z and his agent and why they were giving Allvin time. They were blindsided and eventually Z will spill it out. Zadorov is an honest guy that tells it like it is. I'm not here to convince anyone as the truth will come out. This is an open board so please don't tell me what I should be doing before posting! Why some people feel that it couldn't possibly be Allvin's fault is beyond me! 😉
Nikita zadorov should’ve stayed with the Vancouver Canucks he was a pretty dame good player for the Vancouver Canucks during the Stanley cup playoffs. It’s sad to see him signing with the hatred bruins
He play in Boston a championship town, taking Bergeron place and bringing a cup back to the Bruins. And his boy big z coming to Bean town too. Why not? Let's go bruins!
Taxes. Theres a reason why none of the red no state taxes states are never on a no trade list no matter how bad the team is.
Even the blue states have massive tax benefits.
Nucks threw away a 1st, 4th, and Kuzmenko for nothing...
It's bad asset management... Nothing wrong with keeping Kuzz
It’s called a rental
THEY JUST SAVED 12.5MILLION per year on players they dont need...... rental is what it is and great job GM in van....so glad benning is gone
Lindholm was insurance incase petty didn’t sign.
Yeah. And didn't Zadorov sign for the same amount we offered him after he said he would give us a hometown discount after turning us down?🤔
I'd have Zadorov with McAvoy and Lindholm with Pasta. This improves the play all around. Have you considered that the scenario in BOS (ie being a #1 center, etc) is preferable? I doubt if it was all about $750K, but that's an incentive- sure!
LOVING THIS! Not too happy about loosing Jake and Heinin tho.
In regards to Lindholm, he could see the ridiculous amount that Pettersson just received and he played far superior to him. Why not sign somewhere else as he was getting shortchanged and left to sign in Boston.
He was insurance and pressure on petty to sign
Zadorov=chara 2.0
RAHHHH BOSTONNNNNN
Gotta remember the dollar/tax difference too, unfortunately.
Let’s go 🖤💛🖤
I thought they Zadorov said he is giving the Vancouver a discount, so where is the discount? Did they just send the coupon to the wrong address? (Based on rumor and what they signed today)
Huh we didn’t want to sign him to 6 years goofy
@@dominickhawke9379 Huh he rejected $5 mil AAV from the Canucks only to accept $5 mil AAV from the Bruins. jackassery.
LFG Bruins!
I'd go to Boston for 5 mil extra too 😂
Congrats, Boston got good guys, at least in the short run. Big Z got himself a big bag! Lindy too, daaaaaaaaamn. That's going to be a bad deal soon.
Taxes are a major factor.
Boston is so screwed next year!! They have 11 ufa/rfa and will have to sign Marchy, that will be 8-10 mil..
Yeah, no. Marchand will be 37 at the end of that contract. He's not getting a raise to play until he's 40. If he gets the same amount of money in his next contract as he is currently getting, I'll be absolutely shocked.
@@XCal1bur23He’s absolutely taking a team friendly deal
@@Killerbeast-hx5qpI think so too.
Good riddance! The agents get another 10 bucks
i feel like letting Z walk will be a mistake
we will see tho
i believe lindholm and Z knew where they were going to sign long term when they were still in calgary. next season will be a step back for vancouver.
Zadarov actually mentioned it in his interview today. He stated he and Elias joked about how awesome it would be if they both signed in BOS this year
Zadorov for Forbort 😢
The reason they left is because Vancouver will be very lucky if they make the playoffs this organization has to be moved no one will play for Rick he will be fired in less than 2 years
Lol Canucks add Jake Debrusk whatta dumpster fire they are lol.. I predict 1st Rd exit next year
For what?! Not signing Benning Contracts with selfish losers? Good riddance to those rubbish gold-diggers. They were offered similar amounts which was a bit high for what they bring, and rejected it just to go someplace else. Absolute scumbags. Alvain and Rutherford will have better players to fill the spots in time for October.
@@Seriously_Unserious bahahahah true Canucks fan lol.. Canucks won't be close to the team they were last year it's downhill now big time Tocchets magic will wear off big time
@@CLo-ly1icyou don’t even understand why we were good. We aren’t overpaying for anyone
American dollars
To flames gone
but man fkn boston why to my most hated team of all time
Nucks then turned around and signed DeBrusk for 7 years at 5.5 million 😂😂😂. I'd take half of Zadarov over a full Debrusk. You'll hate JD. He disappears for long stretches, inconsistent. We'll take the best two players in the signing, you can have our 3 leftovers. Player tryout Heinen 😂. Gross
Heinen did his job
@@edited1325 what young guys coming up?
None better then him at this point
@@edited1325 as I said, not better than heinen right now.
Lysell and merk might not have it.
And the jury is still out on poitras.
You obviously don't know bruin hockey to hold heinen responsible for bruin woes...he produced whilst making minimum
@@edited1325 wtf are you talking about?
17 goals and +16 on the league minimum..on bottom 6 minutes.
Do you understand hockey?
