- How to Fuse Fine Silver Wires to a Back Sheet (Without Melting It!)- Fusing fine silver wire can be tricky so I'll show you how to use the torch and a beehive kiln to get it done successfully. One thing that isn't discussed in the video is that a thin coat of ochre (clay based soil) is applied to the bottom of the back sheet to help keep it from sticking to the kiln during fusing.
Great demo!
So glad you enjoyed it! :)
God you're such a fking pro. Beautiful work.
You are very kind! Thank you! :)
What kind of kiln is that?
This is a tabletop beehive kiln, I have them on my tools site here www.jewelryartstools.com/product-page/ultralite-kiln
Thanks
You are very welcome!! :)
I could watch you fusing all day long!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It is a happy coincidence, because I love to fuse all day long. :)
Ciao nn cio capito nulle cosa significa questo metallo
Hi! Fine silver is pure (.999) silver, with no copper added. Pure silver is fusible whereas sterling silver won't fuse nicely. :)
