I did want to mention about the head casting thing, as I still have no concrete evidence after reading lots of threads behind the topic. I've got the 2005 Acura TSX K24A2 and it's stamped with RBB-3. No idea if this makes any difference, it's still the 1st gen K24A2 but yeah.
From what ive heard - apparently there was a recall on 04/05 tsx for oil consumption. If your car was lucky and have the recall done. They replaced the engine with the 2006+ spec K24A2. Ive been told this a few times. But I can’t confirm it tho.
@@tuningbynick My K24A (JDM) has a RBB-3 as well, would it have this issue too? Are these heads considered gen 1? They seem like they are on the cusp and have the wider valves.
Its nice to see an EP3 Si. They are becoming more and more rare. I own an 05, currently mirroring the DC5R chassis upgrades. May go K24 once I get the chassis and suspension sorted.

Do you think it is really worth changing the original K24A2 oil pump for a K20A? Is the difference to the RPM limit enough or do you consider that the one that the K24 comes from the factory is enough?

Comparing this to the other blue ep3 w/k24a swap I’d say just get the damn drop in cams before any other similar expensive mods
