- Yes, this is a breastfeed in bed when I've had very little sleep.
It's early in the morning - about 5.30 am - and you know you have to start what will be another busy day. The advantage of breastfeeding in bed in the lying position when you're really tired is that you can at least rest your body, even if you're not asleep :)
I sincerely hope that by sharing my breastfeeding journey I can encourage other women to attempt and persist with, what can be at times, a difficult thing to do.

Beautiful! And one good thing about breastfeeding while laying down is that, with luck, you could go back to sleep while the baby suckles on you (although in this case, it was probably too intense for sleeping, what with him pulling your nipple every which way!) Also, this was a pretty long feed -- he must have been hungry upon waking up, and you also must have built up quite a big supply of milk overnight!

BTW, did I tell you about that childbirth video I saw a while ago, where a new dad was giving his newborn daughter some skin-to-skin time and she latched onto his nipple and tried to suck on it for a couple of minutes before giving up?

This baby has to be like 10-14 months old. I dont think he's enjoying the laying down nursing. I would do it sitting up, or pump and give him a bottle. He's so all over the place, probably making your nipples raw! He is also getting his energy/nutrition from his food at this age, judging by all those teeth!
I know this was strickly to show laying down breastfeeding. But it doesn't seem beneficial to feed him at the breast anymore
