Thanks a lot for the video! 🙏 I will take all the feedback into account. Right now I am working on adding more animals to the map, they already exist but there are very few because it is difficult to optimize them to avoid lag. Both negative and constructive criticism helps me improve so thank you to everyone who commented. The game is still in early access and in the future it will have clear objectives, a story and much more. Thanks again for everything!
Thank you for showcasing a fun new game. I hope the devs consider the lighting issue. I've never enjoyed struggling to see in a game. In certain horror games it makes sense, but not so much in a survival game. Cheers!
Carpathia : Count Vlad Dracula's home for those who don't know the real story! King of the Wallachia. Known for the impalement of dozens of thousand Ottoman soldiers..
The game is beautiful, but oh my god, the difficulty seeing things. You are 100% right, with the number of fiber/reeds, each plant should give you at least 5-10 pieces. It also gets WAY too dark in the forest area, and where are all the critters? Bunnies, squirrels? If the dev makes those things more manageable, I would definitely consider getting this game!
The Carpathian mountains were always on my bucket list to visit, i love Vampire lore lol and Count Vlad the Impaler's Castle Poenari Fortress is there, the man that inspired Dracula. I will keep an eye on this for updates i like the idea of it but needs work. Thanks GE you're the best!
Very pretty game! But I agree, it needs work. I am not a fan of the building plans. I hope to see more of this if/when it gets worked on. Thank you for showcasing this GameEdged. As always, you are the Best ❣
This game has a lot of potential looks amazing concept is awsome, true survival is hard nothing should be easy but needing a building plan when surviving is stupid in my opinion, seems like night is so much longer than day, there should be at least birds and rabbits or rats some sort of animals near the water, I’m all for seeing what comes of this game
If you go to Romania you'll be eaten by a bear every second corner. Even in the city. You don't need to go to the woods. 😂 It's little bit comic because we all know you have a thing for bears in your gameplay.
That's one thing I don't like, but don't mind too much in survival games. Why a building plan when you're out in the middle of the woods/desert before you can build a hut?
First 3 seconds impression...Subsistence...some guy used an asset kit from say like UE4-5 and put a few things together rather unprofessionally and called it a survival game and added an "unreal" price to it. At least it didn't have ZOMBIES..!! 😆
what is with the weird graphics when the character moves its like fuzzy or smudged i cant describe it even shadows go from one light intensity to another
It's beautiful, but worthless if you can't figure out what is what. It's just to hard to see stuff, and I get the whole it's dark in the woods thing, but I have never been in the woods and it was daylight and pitch black in the woods.
beautiful game. needs all of things you need to get going more plentiful. well to be more specific it looks like the berries and other various foliage is there. could use more rope making material. but where were the animals? never saw one at all. and refine the game with something of a storyline. drop the survivor off along whatever storyline with a basic set of gear. shoes, pants, and shirt. have a goal...outside of just survival. all games need a plot to give the game dimension. just spawning in barefooted into a wilderness and making stuff is a bit basic.
The graphics are pretty nice but obviously the game play as far as items and animals needs work. Unfortunately for me, I prefer 1st person over third person view. So, it would be a hard pass for me anyways.
this screams asset flip. yes single-developer and all but the high resolution and mesh props just dont go with the fucked up animations, lighting, shadow quality etc. at all. also the "game" is more like a bare-bone survival clone proof of concept. like "i can programm this basic thing if i want to" kind of depth. not "i made an actual game thats functional and presentable". if you seriously want to make an enjoyable game you have to make one that has smth others dont have, especially if the others dont have it but MUCH BETTER already. like in one survival you build a raft and check out islands, in another you are submerged most of the time (subnautica), in another its zombie-themed with a fully destructible world (7d2d), in another it has horror elements with monsters while you have to farm stuff, in another you can tame animals you encounter and can use them to fight other monsters or automate certain survival aspects, some have very detailed and beautiful/ complex building (e.g. enshrouded), etc. etc. but you cant half-ass a single mechanic ALL of them have and while not excelling at that one mechanic, also not add anything original to the formula. this is "walk through forest, collect berries and sticks"- simulator. its not a game (yet) and prob never will, its a learning experience for the dev.
hope devs watch and fix few things in the game. it looks really good but the gameplay needs alot of things changed. the hunger/thirst goes down wayyyy to fast. the tools degrading so fast its not playable. you cant have a pickaxe fall apart after using it 1 time. finding loot on the ground is pretty good but you missed the white dots that indicate things are on the ground. they really need to put torch in the other hand so you can use a tool/torch at same time since they made the game so dark you cant see anything. its a good start but they need to balance the game out because right now its not fun with things falling apart so fast and hunger/thirst gone in minutes. the resources are too scattered to only be getting 1 per bush it needs to be random like 1-5 per bush. 33 minutes in and cant even craft a basic fire or house, really needs some changes before its playable.
You *KNOW* what I hate are games and it seems like most survival games ... *YOU* have tons of usable material around you .. BUT *NO* you have to use this *ONE* to make anything. REALLY getting tired of so call survival games. They are all the same for the most part.
I'll say it again, now with this one. While yes, beautiful environment. But that's the problem, that's ALL it is, just an Environmental Tech Demo, which is all a lot of these new games ever are anymore, yet these Developers still change ridiculous prices for just a Tech Demo. The issue is, that they get away with it, because platforms that features their 'Demos' don't challenge them on what they can or can not put on them or at what price etc, and plus people will buy into them, fuelling ever growing Dev's to create, showcase and change crap. The state of the gaming Industry, both Indi and AA+ companies are in a bad state nowadays. and with lack of proper enforced regulatory standards and people buying into anything that gets "Created" doesn't help fix the systemic problem. Again, yes, nice environment (I can get that by walking outside my own front door) but If I'm to pay my money to something and someone, then I want something playable in return, doesn't have be finished or polished, just usable and with some basic standards of assured quality.
A lot of these 1 developer games seem to have some cookie cutter game creator. They’re mostly always in a forest area or very little buildings like mist.
Watched a lot of videos from gamedged, and enjoyed without issue, but this one was making me nauseous, 28 mins of pretty much running around in circles, the turning of the character is very jerky
Thanks a lot for the video! 🙏

Hello!
We just released a new update.
We fixed most of the bugs you mentioned.
Thanks for the feedback!🙏
Carpathia : Count Vlad Dracula's home for those who don't know the real story! King of the Wallachia. Known for the impalement of dozens of thousand Ottoman soldiers..
Very cool thanks, you rock
The game itself looks beautiful. It definitely needs some work done to it though. Thanks for showing us all this game GE. You are the best. 🤗🥰
Keep up the great work 👍
Hey thanks, you rock

Hopefully the dev makes the needed changes asap. Thanks for watching, you rock
8:16 the little white dot means there is loot from what I have noticed, looks like plant fiber.
ya i think he missed the white dots showing were resources are. he ran by alot of stuff
This is what I want, a simple survival game.
So far this looks less like a Survival Game and more like a guy, with an Olympic Torch , running around and tidying up a Forest.
LOL thanks for watching, you rock
Very pretty game! But I agree, it needs work. I am not a fan of the building plans. I hope to see more of this if/when it gets worked on. Thank you for showcasing this GameEdged. As always, you are the Best ❣
Thankfully the torch lasted a long long time.
At least that yes LOL thanks for watching, you rock
As a Romanian i am proud to see some representation!! GG guyz! work more on it and fix whats needed and you can have my money
Should have put a bit more work in the GUI. But it's interesting, the health and other bars are on the right side of the screen. 🤔
Definitely does. Thanks for watching, you rock

Yikes LOL thanks for watching, you rock
That's one thing I don't like, but don't mind too much in survival games. Why a building plan when you're out in the middle of the woods/desert before you can build a hut?
I agree. I never understood why they do this. Thanks for watching. You rock
Seems like it could be a good game, but not being able to find sticks, in a FOREST is crazy lol
Has promise!
Thanks for watching, you rock
Nice
Thanks for watching, you rock
THAT LOOKS LIKE A HARD GAME FOR YOU GAME ❤🎉
Definitely needs work. Thanks for watching, you rock
The durability loss on the tools is way too much. 1 tree chopped and it looks like 1/3 are already gone is just crazy.
Have you forgotten Vigo the Carpathian from Ghost Busters 2? 😆😆😆
First 3 seconds impression...Subsistence...some guy used an asset kit from say like UE4-5 and put a few things together rather unprofessionally and called it a survival game and added an "unreal" price to it. At least it didn't have ZOMBIES..!! 😆
what is with the weird graphics when the character moves its like fuzzy or smudged i cant describe it even shadows go from one light intensity to another
they need to add more blueberries to the blueberry bushes maybe like 10 instead of 1 :(
Lots of balancing needed. Thanks for watching, you rock
czechoslovakia ended about 30 years ago. Also, carpathia is not there :) update your european map
It's beautiful, but worthless if you can't figure out what is what. It's just to hard to see stuff, and I get the whole it's dark in the woods thing, but I have never been in the woods and it was daylight and pitch black in the woods.

And why would you even need a hide for a building permit? Tyrannical.
Definitely needs a rework. Thanks for watching, cheers

Deffo needs more work. And releasing on epic is mental.

This game looks miserable & severely unbalanced as is. The things you put up with to bring us content, GE. 😂 Appreciate you.
ya they went way to hard on the survival/resources part. not fun how it is right now.

I refuse to play anything on Epic.
Thanks for watching, cheers
epic isnt bad at all. plus they give away good games for free every few weeks.
Game needs A LOT of improvement
First.
Thanks for watching, cheers
just another "waste of time" game.....same on-same on , the new developers must put some imagination on that kind of games....
Watched a lot of videos from gamedged, and enjoyed without issue, but this one was making me nauseous, 28 mins of pretty much running around in circles, the turning of the character is very jerky
