Hi Robin, I just want to compliment you on your beautiful camera work. Your music and video is always impeccable, but today even better. Once again thank you again for the wonderful inspiring video. I appreciate all your hard work
Thank you Maureen! I appreciate that so much. I have been experimenting a bit, which is one of the things I love so much about making videos. You are very thoughtful! 💙😂💙
Hi Robin, I love that Austin only likes the hard floor attachment 😂 He is a connoisseur of vacuum attachments! Thank you for another wonderful video, friend. xx
Thank you Jennifer! It’s nice to think that Austin has a sense of refinement. 😂 I probably don’t give him enough credit. 🤣 I hope you are having a lovely Sunday! 💛🤗💛
As always, a motivational and inspiring video! The joy you have in caring for your home is beautiful and you look classy whether you’re wearing jeans or a dress! Also, I like the view from up high in your living room. Thanks for investing your time and talents in your Faith and Flour community. It’s growing quickly isn’t it? It’s bound to happen - you’re inviting, approachable, and offer effective advice for home management. Blessings 🍁🧡🍂
Hello, my Texas friend! You are such a good steward of the home God has blessed you and your family with! 🏠 Thank you for your example and encouragement!
Robin i had a lovely mum but she never did housework. So you teach me what it’s like to be a good housekeeper. You are like a great mentor to me. Thankyou. Joy from London. Xxx
Hi Robin, I just wanted to tell you all the way from Australia, that your videos are very inspiring and I have now set up a weekly cleaning plan as you have and am finding it so much easier than the way I was doing things. I feel so much more in control of my cleaning and my home is looking beautiful. Once again thank you and I will continue to watch you channel for more inspiration.
My brother-in-law has a habit of rubbing the arms of the sofa, so much so that he wore a hole in my old sofa's upholstery so I keep those covers on now but like you I would struggle to keep them on until I bought some of that kind of rubbery feeling shelf/drawer liner they sell so your items don't slide around in the drawers. Cut a piece to fit over the top and then just lay the cover on it voila a cover that stays put even when someone feels the need to rub it all the time.
Loved your video as always Robin. I enjoyed your wheat project and it brought many memories to my mind of things I “thought “ were going to be great, but didn’t turn out as well as expected. Loved seeing Austin today. 🌻🌼
Faith and Flour my mom had so many sayings that she either made up or she remembered hearing . One of them she used to always say was “ if you can’t change the Situation, change your attitude!
I love watching your cleaning videos. I have arthritis and heel spurs and can't stand up very long. But doing even a small section and sitting as much as possible is making a big difference I'm finding.
Hi Robin, just a thought for your dried wheat arrangement. I had a florist tell me she uses kosher salt (only with fake or dried flowers!) in a vase to create a base that you can push some stems in deeper to make it more interesting and keep them from moving around. A nice ribbon around the stalks could also be interesting. - You have a lovely home.
Use pins to hold the sofa arm covers in place! When I was growing up my family always had hand towels on the arms and head area of all sofas and sofa chairs and they were always pinned on so that the didn't move. You can stick them in, out, and back in (if that makes sense) to make sure the sharp part is covered.
Hi! You motivated me yhese past three days to do some very deep cleaning, those monthly things and even things that I could also incorporate in my cleaning schedule. It felt great! Today I cleaned my fridge just as you suggested for monthly cleaning, row by row, and now it is perfect. I had to step out so I was able to stop, not leave a mess on my counter and pick up where I left off when we got back home. Just perfect. Thank you for such practical tips and videos!
I have armrest covers, and use them. The set for the sofa are large and deep, and don't move around, but the pair for my favorite chair need constant repositioning. But I use them, and was very glad I had them when the 3 yr old decided to cover herself in A&D ointment! I threw the arm covers in the wash, and luckily the rest of the chair didn't get much ointment on it! I've seen other people's sofas and chairs with worn, dirty arms and that's enough incentive for me! I'm going to check into the upholstery twist pins, tho. Your house is classy and elegant, yet still homey; and it never looks like there's any dirt!
Ahhh, good Sunday morning to you my sweet friend & Texas neighbor, hugs from me, Lauren, in Houston!!!! We have been doing some renovation projects here at our home, & just replaced all 30 windows in our home :) It was a LOT of work...your shutters are beautiful! The plants are doing well too. Please tell Austin hello for me!!!! FALL weather is coming this week for us here in Texas, so, WOOHOO for us! You know I ALWAYS LOVE your home, love you too, please stay healthy & safe XOXOXO
@@FaithandFlour You too, enjoy your day & this weeks weather change will mean some really LOVELY walks outdoors with AUSTIN in AUSTIN :) lol....take some pictures for next weeks video!
I absolutely love the speed cleaning videos . They are so cheerful and motivating. Thank you. I appreciate them. I really love your sofa. What brand is it?
Hi Robin, your home is so gorgeous! You have a beautiful personality and I admire the way you handle each task in your home. I removed my chair covers over 5 years ago. I love Austin, he's so playful. Have you thought about raising Austin's feeding and water bowls (less strain on his neck/easy food digestion)? Enjoyed the video!!👍❤️🙂
This will be a strange comment. I find it so satisfying that when you show a close up of a table that needs dusting, it really does need dusting! Lol. I guess its an optical illusion that everything is already clean because it looks so neat, with so little l e clutter around. I love these videos!
Hi Robin, I’m a new subscriber and this video is so enjoyable to watch! I’ll have to catch up on your other videos. I see others have mentioned upholstery twist pins. I like those because they twist in securely - don’t have to worry about a pet finding a pin.
Hi! I do have arm covers for my living room. You can push straight pins directly into them to secure them, but I just ditched them. Way to aggravating.🤷🏼♀️ Yes, we do love Austin!💕
Thankyou Robin i really enjoyed your video. Very motivating. Your breakfast room is gorgeous. So homely. I also very much like the knit you are wearing. May i ask where you found it?? Have a great week and may God bless you. Cheers Bev xx
Your home is just beautiful! It looks like a model home! Your little Austin is so cute and I know what you mean about the hair. I have a British Shorthair cat and I am chasing hair every where.
I love seeing Austin in your videos. My dog and cats don't mind the vacuum. But my Miele has a mini turbo brush for stairs and furniture and the cats run like crazy when I use it. I think is because it makes quite a high pitched noise. I love the plantation shutters you have I'm thinking of getting them in few rooms. 🐶☺️🐱
You have a beautiful home Robin. :D We are having our home build and I am excited to decorate & clean. Our new home will be ready sometime next year in the spring. In the meantime, I am decluttering and getting rid of things I don't need or use anymore. :)
Thank you Cathy! Congratulations on your new home. I know you must be excited. You are wise to declutter before your move - you will be thanking yourself later! 💙😊💙
Happy Sunday! A small jar in your vase before the bubble wrap will give more height. 3 dogs here equals daily floor cleaning lol. Arm covers? Velcro. 🙂❤️Have a blessed week!
Hi Robin. When I was growing up my mom had chairarm covers, doilies, slipcovers, the works everywhere! Drove me nuts. So I have very little of that sort of thing. When the arms on the couch get dirty, I would just clean them.
Hi Robin, my covers only came out when we had company... they didn't seem to make it to Cornwall from London... not sure where they are as the removers came in the day after I left my husband in London to drive to Cornwall to collect the keys of our new home... maybe they might appear. I love Austin when he chases the hoover...lol God Bless xx
To the viewers of Robin’s Faith and Flour videos, Please join me in doing this: Watch Robin’s video and skip the ads, if any. If the video has ads, play it again on your computer or iPad (so you won’t tie up your phone) to let the ads play in their entirety. (Today’s ads were short so I watched them.) I can walk away to get things done while it plays and check on it later. This will be profitable for Robin’s channel, especially if enough viewers participate. Thanks! 🍁🧡🍂
Theresa Brown - A TH-cam channel can earn profit when the ads in a video are allowed to play. Ads can be short or long. Most people don’t want to watch long ads so we tap the Skip Ad button when it appears. The problem with skipping ads is that it prevents Robin from earning a profit. I suggested that we watch her video and skip the ads unless they’re short enough you don’t mind watching them. When we’re finished watching the video, let it play again. This time, let all of the ads play. It could take awhile. Play the video the second time on a device you don’t mind being tied up for awhile. When I play her video the second time, I leave it playing on my iPad and go get chores done. Hope this helps. If not, let me know.
I use upholstery twist pins, they are clear and hold the arm covers in place. I got mine on Amazon. Just check to make sure pins don’t leave permanent holes in the fabric.
Hi Robin - I just realized after all this time you have the “plantation shutters” in your breakfast room too. You know how much I love them and they will be in my next house. Also you brought back a great memory today when you were trying to make the wheat work on your table. Fifty years ago when I was a young mother, my mother and I decided we were going to make some Christmas centerpieces. We bought all the stuff and spent so much that we could have bought something pretty that was premade. We worked and worked and our centerpieces turned out hideous. We laughed so hard that we were crying and to this day I remember how much fun that was. HA! Well, Robin, I have told you of my saga of 2020 with the two floods I had this year and remodeling in the pandemic and the raccoons that got in the attic and the Bell’s palsy, honestly it has been something challenging almost every month but what’s happening is totally crazy. Friday night at midnight we get a call from our city telling us not to use our water for anything, No drinking, showering, cleaning, cooking--Nothing. The water supply has been contaminated with a brain eating amoeba and one little 6 year old boy has died. At midnight my daughter and her husband went out with the rest of the city to buy bottle water. We all had some bottled water in case of hurricanes but not enough. They were able to find some but it was a zoo. Now our city has been declared in a state of emergency and the governor has sent in the state water control people and the CDC and water is being delivered to a local college here and we get a certain amount each day. We have no idea how long this will last but it is definitely a huge challenge especially at a time we are supposed to be washing our hands all the time. You remember that I was excited to start back to water aerobics Monday but thats out now. Good grief! I am praying that no one else gets this brain eating amoeba. I’m still trusting the Lord with all my heart. Love in Christ and thanks for your videos that keeping me uplifted and entertained.
Hi Donna! Wow! That is so horrible and I’m am so very sorry to hear about the little boy and what you and your town are going through. I will be praying over this. I know you must be wondering what next? You have an amazing outlook no matter the challenge and I know that your strength comes from the Lord. Sending big hugs to you my friend. Keep me posted on the situation and how you are doing. 🙏🤗💙
Hi Robin, may be a small Velcro dot may help keep the arm protector on the lounge, thanks for sharing this cleaning tips you keep me inspired on cleaning love it, give Oscar a pat from me love seeing him in the videos cheers just wondering where you got your candle holder sitting next to your kitchen sink love it ,👍🐶
It makes me smile when you talk to Austin! Can you tell me where you got the candle stand on your coffee table? I've been looking for something like that for a long time. As always, thanks for your hard work.
Great video Robin, thank you for the motivation 💖 I am curious... how are you getting on with your new planner with the days broken down into hours? I am seriously considering getting one for next year but I've never used one before and so was wondering if you were finding it more helpful than your usual one. Xx
Thank you Tina! Actually, I think I prefer the vertical layout to the hourly. Especially since COVID, I find it easier to have checklist as opposed to so much structure. My schedule needs to be flexible to make everything work for the rest of the family. I think I will probably go back to the vertical next year. 💙😊💙
Hi Robin! Your home is just beautiful and I love your videos 😊 I think pampas grass will look stunning instead of the wheat, they are fuller and have more height. Have a lovely evening!
Hi Robin, I love watching how you do things at home. Ive learn a lot and it also gives me motivation to clean and organize after a long day from work 😊 Super love your house and all your decors too. By the way, you can try hook and loop tape ( velcro tape) or anti slip between your arm cover and couch 😊 💕
Great video. I hate the arm covers as well. Only one of our sofas have them - thankfully it is the one that is in our media room so I am not looking at them every day. I know exactly what you mean though, they are protective but they don't look great. I wonder if two sided velcro would work to keep them in place? May try that........:)
My inlaws have doilies on their chair arms to protect them. Im not sure where she got them, but she secures them to the chair with upholstery clips. They have a pearl or small bead at the top and a short squiggly wire with a point attached to it. she literally just 'screws' it into the furniture and secures it there. They can be easily removed if you want to clean the chair or the doilies. I would start with Amazon or an Upholstery store. Joanns or some other fabric store may have them. I would also try Hobby Lobby.
Hi....we have arm covers on our couch , but they are custom made, bigger and hug the arm all around and the free edge is stucked under the bottom cushion so they don't move !!
How did you manage to get through most of your video without Austin’s intervention??? Haha. He’s so very entertaining! Of course, so are you....just in a different way! 😍
It was fun seeing Austin in your video today - we've had our Cockapoo, Harry, for 2 years today (he was 2 on 01.06.20) but is the total opposite to Austin as he doesn't like the vacuum!. As a matter of interest, when you're mopping the wooden floors are you just using a damp microfibre cloth? or do you use a cleaning product? I find some of the products leave the floors feeling a bit sticky. And finally, living in the UK, I'm glad my house is not as big as yours because I find cleaning our little house while working full time is more than enough for me ;)
Hi Rhona! Dogs have their own unique personalities for sure! We have never had a dog that wanted to play with the vacuum before. 😂 To mop the floors I use a microfiber pad with just water. I also dislike the residues left by many cleaners. I think the floors stay cleaner longer this way because those residues attract dirt. 😉💙
@@FaithandFlour Thanks for clearing that up Robin, I must admit I'm still getting my head around the fact that water is enough but I'm certainly seeing it more now that I've bought of couple of e-cloths. Really enjoying them. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Great video, thanks for the cleaning motivation! For the wheat, I would tie something around the bottom to bunch the stems together, then twist them so that the bunch has a flat base. Then add some more filler to your vase to increase the height and add the stems. For your armrest covers, you could get thread in a matching color and attach them in a few spots along the sides, but make the stitches loose enough that they could be removed if needed.
Your cleaning videos always inspire me to get up and busy with my own work. I have the same issue with my sofa arm covers and have yet to come up with a solution. Sorry. Melissa
Hi Diane! My mop and duster are both from E-Cloth. Here is my link: www.ecloth.com/#5c8d0be8aa8ab and you can find my vacuum in the Cleaning section of my Amazon Store: www.amazon.com/shop/faithandflour 💙😊💙
Hi Robin! Always enjoy your videos. Once I heard you say that your son is gluten intollerence. My oldest son is diagnosed with gluten intollerence just a week ago. We need to adjust to this new way of cooking/living. Can you maybe do a special video on how you cook/bake for him? Would love to see how your family adapted and learnt how to live with this life long diagnose. Love Inge
Hi Inge! I know it seems a bit overwhelming in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. Plus there are so many products available and restaurants are much more accommodating than in the past. Most of the recipes I share on my channel are gluten free and I appreciate your request for a more detailed/dedicated video on going gluten free. I will see what I can do. 😉💙
Faith and Flour thank you so much for your answer. We are going for second nature 😊. I look forards to your videos also if they are not strictly dedicated to gluten free cooking/baking. Lots of love from me.
I never use the arm protector things. Reminds me of my grandmother lol. Not attractive IMO. Love my Miele vacuums - Austin is so funny. Have you mentioned what breed(s) he is? Reminds me of the Dobermans we had growing up.
Just curious . I saw that in your earlier videos, you used Norwex mocrofibre cloths and dusters, now you switched to e-cloth. How will you compare them, besides the big price differences?
Is the head of e-cloth extendable duster machine washable , together with it’s short plastic handle ? Have you machine washed it ever ? Did you leave it air dry or put into the dryer after wash ?
Hi Rachel! You can detach the duster at the very top from the handle. There is still a plastic “stem” inside and it is okay to machine wash it. I have done that many times. Over time it will lose some of its fluffiness, so I vacuum it frequently to extend the time between washings.💙😊💙
I forgot to add that I air dry it and only wash it with other E-Cloths. Mixing it with any other laundry will cause it to attract lint that will cause it to loose its effectiveness. 😊
Hi Robin, I am curious, Ive watched for a while and have not seen you empty rooms and scrub from ceiling to floor nor completely empty all your cabinets scrub them down from top to bottom, wash everything and replace it. Have I missed it? I ask because I am always looking for ways to make this twice yearly task easier. It takes a good week for me to empty the house room by room for deep cleaning. though as you say its a good work out!
Hi Cynthia! I have emptied cabinets and drawers to wipe down completely, but I do not do that in the rooms of our home. We move furniture aside, but I have never gone that far. Good for you! 💙😊💙
When its time for deep cleaning in any room, I usually see that as an opportunity to switch things around for a while. In the process, everything gets moved and cleaned. And I really feel good about it, and enjoy the new arrangement till next time.
You have such a beautiful home, Robin! I have blinds everywhere, too, and I have to say they are not my favorite items to clean. Thanks for the inspiration. I love your giraffe picture! Do you mind if I ask where you got it?
Thank you Dona and welcome! I lived in your beautiful country for a short time when I was a small child. I have visited a few times since then and always enjoy the beautiful sights and lovely people! 💙😊💙
Austin can come visit me anytime on vacuum day! :-). Does he entertain on laundry day too, because if so, I could offer him a full time job with overtime. LOL.
Your home is such a breath of fresh air with a realistic color scheme and decor.
Thanks for helping a single guy organize my kitchen and keep my house clean!

Would velcro work to attach the arm protectors to the sofa? That way at least they won't fall off or need too much adjusting.

That's funny Janice! At least if they don't arrive you won't have to deal with them! 😂Enjoy your new home and God bless you as well! 💙😊💙
To the viewers of Robin’s Faith and Flour videos,
Please join me in doing this:
Watch Robin’s video and skip the ads, if any. Thanks! 🍁🧡🍂
You are so very thoughtful Beth! 😊🤗😊
I’m not sure I understand. 🤔
Thanks Joy I will check into those! 💙😊💙

Hi Robin, may be a small Velcro dot may help keep the arm protector on the lounge, thanks for sharing this cleaning tips you keep me inspired on cleaning love it, give Oscar a pat from me love seeing him in the videos cheers just wondering where you got your candle holder sitting next to your kitchen sink love it ,👍🐶
Thank you! The candle stand is from Bath and Body Works. 💙😊💙
Hi Robin...new subscriber... greetings from Greece!!!
Thank you and welcome! 💙😊💙

It makes me smile when you talk to Austin! Can you tell me where you got the candle stand on your coffee table? I've been looking for something like that for a long time. As always, thanks for your hard work.
Oh yeah, back in the day my mother used upholstery pins to keep the arm covers on.
Thanks Jennifer! I might give those a try. The candle stand came from Home Goods. I have had it for a while, but they often have similar ones. 💙😊💙
@@FaithandFlour Thanks!
Great video Robin, thank you for the motivation 💖
I am curious... how are you getting on with your new planner with the days broken down into hours? I am seriously considering getting one for next year but I've never used one before and so was wondering if you were finding it more helpful than your usual one. Xx
Thank you Tina! Actually, I think I prefer the vertical layout to the hourly. Especially since COVID, I find it easier to have checklist as opposed to so much structure. My schedule needs to be flexible to make everything work for the rest of the family. I think I will probably go back to the vertical next year. 💙😊💙
Hello Robin so enjoyed your video love Annie sparkles ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Thank you Ann! 💙😊💙
Robin, Could you do a video on how you exercise and what you eat? You are in good condition, and it would be good to learn some tips.
Hi Robin! Your home is just beautiful and I love your videos 😊 I think pampas grass will look stunning instead of the wheat, they are fuller and have more height. Have a lovely evening!
Thank you Esmari! I will look for that. Have a great week! 💙😊💙
بانوی باسلیقه مثل همیشه عالی بود خسته نباشین👌🍁🌻🍁👌
💙😊💙
Hi Robin, I love watching how you do things at home. Ive learn a lot and it also gives me motivation to clean and organize after a long day from work 😊 Super love your house and all your decors too.
By the way, you can try hook and loop tape ( velcro tape) or anti slip between your arm cover and couch 😊 💕
Thank you! Great suggestions! 💙😊💙
Austin is so cute! I don't have armrest covers, so I don't have any tips. But I'll remember to avoid them the next time we need to buy a new couch lol
Thank you Jenny! I guess you could always toss them - that’s what I’m tempted to do! 😂💙
Great video. I hate the arm covers as well. Only one of our sofas have them - thankfully it is the one that is in our media room so I am not looking at them every day. I know exactly what you mean though, they are protective but they don't look great. I wonder if two sided velcro would work to keep them in place? May try that........:)
Thank you Gayle! 💙😊💙
Thank you Deena! I’m going yo check into that! 👍😊💙
Hi....we have arm covers on our couch , but they are custom made, bigger and hug the arm all around and the free edge is stucked under the bottom cushion so they don't move !!
Sounds great Tonia! Too bad they aren’t all made that way! 😄💙
How did you manage to get through most of your video without Austin’s intervention??? Haha. He’s so very entertaining! Of course, so are you....just in a different way! 😍
So happy to know I’m not the only one who sweats when cleaning! 😂
Thank you Brandi! I really appreciate your suggestions! 💙😊💙
@@FaithandFlour you're welcome 😊
Your cleaning videos always inspire me to get up and busy with my own work. I have the same issue with my sofa arm covers and have yet to come up with a solution. Sorry.
Melissa
Thank you Melissa! 💙😊💙
What toosl are you mopping and dusting with. and what vacuum are you using.
Hi Diane! My mop and duster are both from E-Cloth. Here is my link: www.ecloth.com/#5c8d0be8aa8ab and you can find my vacuum in the Cleaning section of my Amazon Store: www.amazon.com/shop/faithandflour
💙😊💙
Hey Robin. I’m wondering who does all your filming for you, they do a great job 😍
Thank you! It is all me - a one woman show. 😄💙
I actually wondered too! Love the view from high up thought her son's helped😊 I am even more in awe of Robin!!
Good morning Robin. Another great cleaning video. This is a suggestion for your sofa arms: Scotch Guard Fabric Protector. Have a great day!
Thanks Helen! 💙😊💙
Hi Rachel! I have talked about this in previous videos, but will try to go into more detail soon. 💙😊💙
Faith and Flour Thank you. The vacuum often is a great idea. .
I forgot to add that I air dry it and only wash it with other E-Cloths. Mixing it with any other laundry will cause it to attract lint that will cause it to loose its effectiveness. 😊
Faith and Flour Thanks again.
Thank you! The giraffe painting was a wedding gift from South African friends. 💙😊💙
@@FaithandFlour It's lovely!
You could put a ribbon around the neck of your white vase to visually correct the proportions of your arrangement 🌾💝
Good idea! Thanks! 💙😊💙
Hi Robin
You make my day
Kisses from Athens Greece
Thank you! 💙😊💙
Where did you get your duster?
Hi Gail! It is from E-Cloth and it's call the extendable duster. Here is my link: www.ecloth.com/#5c8d0be8aa8ab 💙😊💙
Austin is so cute! My cat chases my mop.....
Velcro for the sofa, a designer trick
Thanks Elizabeth! 💙😊💙
maybe you can put some velcro on the arm covers to keep them in place.
Your floors are beautiful ❤️
For the wheat you could use plastic grocery bags until the wheat reaches desired result. I love the wheat.
Thank you! 💙😊💙
That's a great idea!
It's make my sunday evening special in India.(Shilpa)
Thank you Shilpa! 💙😊💙
Hi Robin i am Dona frome Italy your house is very very nice
Thank you Dona and welcome! I lived in your beautiful country for a short time when I was a small child. I have visited a few times since then and always enjoy the beautiful sights and lovely people! 💙😊💙
I think the wheat is lovely. You just need some taller stems of something “fallish” to add the height and let the wheat be a filler.
Thank you! That’s a great idea! 💙😊💙
Faith and Flour you could also try pampas grass!
Just add some mini pumpkins around the bottom of the vase for an instant fall look.
How about a shorter and wider vase like a fish bowl style that is clear. That will give the stems more depth and match your round table.
Cleaning is a workout if you're doing it right!
So true Cynthia! 💙😊💙
Hello Robin 🙂
Sticky Velcro. My grandmother used straight pins
Thank you Lori! 💙😊💙
I just threw out the arm covers ✨
Very tempting Kathryn! 😂💙
Austin can come visit me anytime on vacuum day! :-). Does he entertain on laundry day too, because if so, I could offer him a full time job with overtime. LOL.
👍😂
Twist pins to keep arm covers on sofa.
Thank you Pamela! 💙😊💙
