Idk if he would do that, his second channel is significantly smaller than his main channel and contains his small, "for fun" projects. Unless this series went viral I don't see dedicated merch being made because only a couple thousand people would understand the reference if they would even buy it
A lot of pointers... 1. Get off Heismen. Immediately. All-american is a much better overall experience even if you maybe win a game or two you shouldn't. 2. Focus on recruiting as many players as possible first and maybe second year. Forget about the 5 stars. 3. In the pre-season you should use all your hours on scouting players to try and find 'gems'. I suggest mainly targeting the players who already had you in the top 10. 4. Make sure you keep track of how many SRs and JRs you have at each pos. It's very easy to end up starting a season with a freshman 65ovr starting without realizing. 5. Get used to the CPU doing no huddle. Idk why but all the good teams spam it on every difficulty. There's a lot more nuances to the recruiting that is much too much to get into in a youtube comment, so I suggest using this first season plus other comments to really get a grasp of it. Unfortunately that means basically writing off S2 but you started with a 1 Star program, so it's a 5-10 season realistic national champion projection. On that note, maybe keep playing 2 games per episode.
@@Edited_Genie I usually keep it on but turn the 'Wesr and Tear effect' slider down to like 10. And the injury slider down to around 25. That's whats allowed me the most fun while keeping it realistic
I have like 400 hours in this game and everything he said is very true. I play on AA with adjusted sliders to make it more realistic. Heisman is very unrealistic in my opinion. regardless your team is trash but on heisman you won’t even have a shot against fcs teams with the overall you’re at now
Pipeline is where you recruit from heavily so example if you pick a Texas school you want to have a Texas pipeline or if you want to recruit certain kids from certain areas like California then you would want to have a California pipeline. Also another tip half way through the season there will be a lot of 3 and even some 4 stars with no offers you could maybe pick up
I have zero knowledge of American Football but I always enjoy watching you play! Would prefer if this was shorter (30-45 mins) but still got enjoyed it! Let's go HOGS!
For a low star school, don’t even try for a 5 star. Especially in a state/region full of powerhouse schools. Your class should be mostly two stars and a few 3 stars. If you scout players fully, you could potentially see a gem or a broken gem. Gem is good, broken is bad. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND starting recruiting by beefing up trenches. Focus on OL, DL, and LB while trying to land a decent QB and 1-2 solid playmakers at skill positions. If you see that you are pursuing a recruit and so is a team with a much higher pipeline (yours is 1, there’s is 4) don’t even try. You won’t win. The more hours you put on a recruit, the faster their recruiting process goes. Putting a lot of hours on a few recruits>putting few hours on a bunch of recruits. Hope this helps!! Look for those gems!!
Abilities to target in recruiting: Recievers - Takeoff, quicker release off the line. DL and OLBs - Quick Jump, Duress. Rushers will FLY off the line with Quick Jump and insta-sack QBs. (Do not user rush a player with quick jump) Duress makes QBs pressured from a longer range. MLB - Robber, House call. Robber makes them play zones better DBs - House Call, Robber, Jammer. Jammer makes you basically automatically win a press vs. any reciever (about 75% win rate)
Pipeline is for your recruiting pipeline. As a school in Nashville, it was good to pick Tennessee. That will help get local recruits. So excited for this series!
for recruiting you definitely only want to target like 10-15 players max because you are a small school. Once you start winning more and more you'll be able to have more recruiting hours available to target more players. but for now i would just pick like 10-15 players and just absolutely dump your hours into them. also helps to build your roster through the transfer portal
What a fantastic prequel! Loved getting to see how Anthony Richards came to be. Seriously though, this and the Madden series are amazing, keep them coming!
Tyler I am so ready to crank the hog over and over and over again until we reach the climax of a national championship. (Also, play on All-American, it will take 100 episodes to succeed on hesiman. The CPU cheats.)
Pointers on recruiting: send the house on most of your guys since it gets the battles done faster so you can use those hours to go after people after you win that battle. Use your hours setting up your board to scout them and find a “gem” usually means their a really good talent or good dev trait. Usually a 3 star gem is really just a 4 star talent and a 4 star gem would be a 5 star talent. You can also find busts which means their not as good as their star rating says. Hard sells toward the end of the season are big time if you have good grades in those categories if you don’t have good grades though do not go with the hard sell just keep sending the house or doing whatever your doing. Hope this helps.
Always check on early national signing day and signing day to check on each recruit in the scouting tap to see if they are normal, impact, star or elite dev and look at the player tap to see their skill caps because you may want to start a QB that is 67 overall with little to no ceiling rather than a 70 that will hit his limit in the first season.
Hey wildcat another receiving tip. Hold Y (Xbox)/ triangle (PS) for aggressive catching. It’ll slightly improve the chance for the receiver to make a play on the ball. I noticed you were secure catching a lot which is only good for toe taps and avoiding knockouts. Looking forward to the series!
I love everything about this. dude the team design goes crazy good shit!! makes me have pride for a team that doesn't exist. looking forward to more bro!
Also, since you picked to replace a New Mexico school, your school location is New Mexico. That’s why your higher pipeline recruits are from AZ and TX. It’s dumb but when you use a teambuilder team, recruiting uses the location of the team you replaced, not the location you selected on team builder. Hopefully that changes in future versions, but for now, you won’t have as much as an advantage in Tennessee bc the game thinks NUT is in New Mexico
Two important defensive adjustments to be aware of when playing on heisman: 1. If you’re playing zone and one of your curl zone guys is down on the line, audible to another coverage immediately. 2. After your play call, click triangle and select “underneath” it helps get you so many more picks!
Don't know if you see this, but here are some tips. 1. Depending on certain weeks you'll either have no hours to recruit or so little that you can't really do anything with them. 2. Don't be surprised when another team swoops in and steals the 5 star recruit you had a lead on all season. It happens all the time. 3. After a recruit reaches the final 3 schools and you're not the top school take your points out of them before they commit so you could use them elsewhere. 4. With athletes, just because you find an athlete in the QB section of the prospect list doesn't mean they'll be a good QB. Pay attention to their stats/ratings and decide where they best fit. 5. Pay attention to your depth chart. The players get hurt easily and it wouldn't be good if you only have 1 backup behind them.
1. It's better to go after fewer players and spend more hours per player than spend a little on many players. Around 20 players per recruiting class is a good size 2. Spend all your coaching points in the recruiter tree until every position is full except for K/P 3. Once recruits narrow it down to their top 5, start trying to hard sell. Hard selling recruits helps out tremendously 4. Your OC and DC matter too. Having an OC or DC thats a master recruiter will give you more recruiting hours
You gotta step up in the pocket more, when you drop back to much the defense tends to break the line faster. That and let the plays develop a little longer. Nothing but love can’t wait for the rest of this series
I started a custom team on my Alma in Team Builder and watched a few different vids to help me get everything going; I’d set your difficulty to Varsity while you’re building your team, makes one-star schools actually play like one-stars haha. Set quarters to 6-mins, play moments or offense only for games; I really crammed the recruiting for like 2 seasons before actually playing games.
Crazy that we have the same birthday and live in a similar area, I never knew that last part. Have been watching you for YEARS and absolutely love your content. excited to see it come together
As far as recruiting goes, the easiest way I have found to get more recruits to commit is to target the ones that have to most interest in your team and use the 5 and/or 10 points. If you can save as many points as you can because when you reach the Top 5 on their teams of interest you can actually persuade them more with the 20/30/ and 40 points. Basically you want to gradually increase their interest level and not go all out right away. That is just my opinion and I hope it helps!
A general tip for cfb and Madden, pre snap on defense if you hold circle and move the left stick towards a player you'll switch to them. Instead of mashing circle to get to the player you want
Put fastest receiver in the slot and throw a high ball on a streak or slot fade for a big gains. When playing defense don’t forget to use your pre snap adjustments. You can shift your dline to clog up run lanes. Tell your teams to play underneath so they expect the short throws underneath and will sometimes jump the pass. The pre snap adjustments on defense are just as important as pre snap adjustments on offense
This game seems so much nicer to play than Madden. Even on the hardest difficulty the game doesn't make it seem impossible to win. The game is much more realistic in my opinion.
27:45 you can hot route your receiver to make routes like that stop route longer, against press man, hout route, select the player adn then hold the "custom stem" button and move the route deeper. That way he'll drive up the field like its a go route and then stop at or just past the goal line while the DB has to react to him.
For recruiting don’t think a recruit is lost if you’re top 3 or 4 or even a tight race at 5th. They go through multiple stages, top 8 schools, top 5, top 3 then commit. So there’s time to catch up if you commit. But if you’re locked out it’s over. If you’re second and they commit elsewhere it’s worth keeping them as a target because they can flip apparently according to google. Hope this helps. Have fun!
I love the colts series, but I think this is going to be far better. Madden is very clunky and a very copy and paste it kind of game and this one at the start will be frustrating especially early on, but I think this will be a far more rewarding series thank you wildcat🙏🏻❤️
FYI, you can change the player defensively by aiming the stick in the direction of the player then clicking circle opposed to clicking circle a whole bunch of times
7:46 if you filter to scouting, you can use 10 hours of recruiting to learn a little about the players stats to help you compare; as you move further, you’ll obviously need to drop off duplicate positions (your 8 QBs lol).
I would for sure say get off of Heisman, All American makes the game more fun and enjoyable, also on defense try and mix in coverages, there’s a lot of plays that don’t not help at all, I would suggest running cover 3,2 and man blitz, I noticed you blitz a small amount and when you do it’s a zone blitz, man blitzing is arguably the best thing to do, I would also suggest running a nickel defense it puts the most dbs on the field giving you the best chance for more interceptions. For missed tackles you can turn on pursuit assist in your setting to help you take better angle to avoid missing those tackles. Offensively I would suggest either using Oregon, TCU, or Alabama they have the best plays to get the ball down the field and making the big plays you’re looking for.
I wish there was a creator league man. Like every creator makes their own team and every week a new creator plays each other. They could stream those games dude. It would be sick
