I'm fairly certain that the cuffed shorts would also work with jeggings. If you decide to make the non-cuffed version, I might allow a little more length than you think you'll need just because they stretch so much more than normal jeans, but it should work.
You're like the only DIY channel that I actually want to follow, because you're so good at explaining and actually shows how to do it, in a simple way!
So glad to hear you tried it out! I've been brainstorming DIY projects for the leftover denim. If/when I come up with something, I'll definitely upload a video on it.
She's doing a DIY. A thigh gap is only natural if you're naturally skinny or extremely fit I am really fit and don't even have one. In fact I leg press about 550 now and my muscles touch... I will never have one due to big muscles. YOU ALL ARE FREAKING BEAUTIFUL and please realize you will never look like a magazine or a movie because it is freaking fake. BE REAL. BE YOU. LOVE YOU. AND LOVE YOUR BODY. You only get one, don't hate the one thing that gives you the chance to live and breathe in this world. Love it and improve it. But never hate it.
Which pair? The ones that I cuffed do not fray because the part of the jeans that I cut isn't exposed. If you start to fray the cut-off pair, they will fray slightly every time you wash them (which enhances the look, in my opinion).
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I did this with jeans that began fitting me all weird after I lost some weight and now I have the most perfect shorts!
I can't guarantee this would work because I can't see the shorts, but if they are a bit too tight, I'd cut a tiny slit/small V on the inside of the leg. You could potentially hide this with the cuff depending on how much material you're working with.
I had three pairs of old jeans! I was like I need a video. So I went to TH-cam, and boom the last pair of jeans I had left turned out perfectly! Thank you so much!
Omg I needed this tutorial so much sooner! What would you recommend making the marks with on white shorts? I don't want to stain them with anything dark but I know I won't be able to see white marks :/
This was really helpful! I never know when to cut in a diagonal or straight line so thanks for the clarification! Definitely going to be cutting some old jeans of mine into shorts.
Thanks for the tutorial! Worked out really well for me. :) Any crafty suggestions on what to do with the leftover pant legs? (Other than practice distressing?)
Oh, I actually wasn't first. Sorry, comments didn't load. I still love it! I live where it's freezing... But summer will be here soon! This is a great jean cutting video! Thanks!
Great video. Thanks for posting. I'm going to try the cuffed shorts with an old fave pair of jeans that are totally ripped at the knee and hem. They're soo comfy that I was thinking of how to repurpose them. =)
Great video! I liked it so much that I just hit that subscribe button (woop woop!). This was my first video by you, so I cannot wait to watch all of your other DIY videos. I'm a full time college student, so ballin on a budget is what I am all about right now, and your channel will come in handy.
Everyone talking about how lucky people are for thigh gaps. You all are lucky you can wear shorts to school! My arms are so long that for my shorts to be finger length would go about 3 or 4 inches above my knee :\
So very helpful! I am going to florida next month and was trying to get a new outfit together! I have a few pairs of old jeans that are now shorts! =D thanks
just a quick question: where i live, i can't find fabric glue anywhere, so can you just sew the parts (that you fold over) to the actual short, if that made any sense?

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I did this with jeans that began fitting me all weird after I lost some weight and now I have the most perfect shorts!
the white pencil liner washes off. you can also use chalk. it'll wash right off.
So far this is the best DIY shorts video I've found :)

No, it is formulated to withstand washing.

This was like on of the best tutorials ever like. People need to take notes from this. Seriously. BTW nice video :D
This was really helpful! I never know when to cut in a diagonal or straight line so thanks for the clarification! Definitely going to be cutting some old jeans of mine into shorts.
Thank you for the reminders at the end! It helps a lot!
Yeah I had way too many pairs of jeans that I wasn't wearing. It's nice to be able to recycle them! Thanks for watching! :)
My jeans look super cute! Thanks for the DIY!
If you decide to make a pair, feel free to make them longer. That's the beauty of a DIY.
super easy way ! thanks so much-can you use different glue?
I TRIED IT AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL
I did it and I turned out really good! Thanks
Thanks for the tutorial! Worked out really well for me. :) Any crafty suggestions on what to do with the leftover pant legs? (Other than practice distressing?)
Make a skirt.
You can make a cute patchwork jean jacket if you have enough.
I just did this!!! :) with the left over material u cut off from ur jeans is there a video u can do on them to make them another DIY???
Thank you! Let me know how it goes if you decide to try it out!
Or if you don't have fabric glue you can iron them
Could you explain? How does ironing them make them stay and not roll back out? :)
It the same idea of creasing a price of paper so that it doesn't unfold
You can find my tutorial on distressing denim in my clothing playlist.
Love the cuffed ones!
Oh, I actually wasn't first. Sorry, comments didn't load. I still love it! I live where it's freezing... But summer will be here soon! This is a great jean cutting video! Thanks!

Why couldn't I have found this channel sooner thanks a lot ! Oh and by the way where did you get the fabric glue?
Thank you I didn't know what to do with my old jeans so I made them cuffed :D
I wouldn't recommend it. Fabric glue is a pretty cheap option & in my opinion, the better type of glue to use with a project like this.
I love this I did exactly what you did while watching this video and my jeans look so good omg thank you you inspire me
Very good video. Really well explained.

just a quick question: where i live, i can't find fabric glue anywhere, so can you just sew the parts (that you fold over) to the actual short, if that made any sense?
I loved your video, but where did you get these jeans?
One of them I saw was from hollister!!
Can you show how you iron cuffed jeans? The pair I have are sewed on the sides so you cant unfold them.
you are amazing! love your videos!!
Thank u this helped a lot
