Remember an order of protection is just a piece of paper. Its not easy to leave. There has to be a very calculated plan.

You definitely have to plan your way out! especially when you're staying with your abuser.. because they study your every move daily....I had the police officers and his mother helping me get my things out his home...while he was lock up in jail.Once I left...I stayed GONE..I was left with deep emotional.. mental scars..more than physical...I stayed paranoid not knowing where he would be or pop up...But I thank God!! He left me alone and move on🙏🏽🙏🏽

I was a victim of a DV with my son father and when I left him I thought it was my fault that my son doesn't have a father growing up he use to beat me up from laughing over a TV show and laughing at a friend joke used to work with black eyes all the time and had to lie about what happened
