it's interesting though... in my playthrough she straight up dumped me in the end. She just didn't say the line that we can make it and I should let her do talking. In that place I had a different line. Something about her needing to focus on herself and her role in the world and that this is a good bye. And I also had a finished romance with her and made her Selunite and all those good-aligned decisions.. so there are definitely more endings and nuances than in this video.
@@drBenyy i think that part should appear after she says all that thought you need to have the dialogue to persuade her to go with you . if its in the video my bad im commenting while watching the video still and im just at the start xd
had to laugh really hard when I had the ending with shadowheart as lover and then the option came to say "Ah dead parents, the perfect post-coital topic"
To be honest, it is awesome to see that her actual turning point is not between killing or not killing nightsong, but between saving or not saving her parents. If she does, she is forever tied to Shar in a very non-intentional way, whereas not saving them, be if by letting them go or actually killing them, she lives her life according to her intentions. The Selunite and Sharrian endings without parents might be very different in a theological and pragmatic way, but nonetheless they have her will imprinted on them, be said will a mislead one or not.
nah its the world of magics and gods, it might not be easy but its very much possible to break shar's curse. Another advanture, for another time, maybe.
@@harariri8134 Exactly. She's made it very clear that she has NEVER tried to free herself of this pain, as she thought it would be an affront to Shar. So up until recently she had no reason to seek out aid for it. When I think about how her dad is a wearwolf and found a way to control that curse through Selune and how Shar's Iconic Weapon used to kill Selune's own daughter countless times can be transformed into a Selune weapon because "what belongs to one belongs to the other" ... it paints a picture of a pattern that perhaps Selune can free her from Shar's curse if they give it enough time.
Yeah, that's why I really enjoy the Shar - not killing parents ending I really appreciate how she is still scarred but there's a glimmer of hope for healing
My shadowheart kept her parents, killed the Sharr cult, saved the nightsong, and saved BG. At the ending she wanted to drink till she forgot about the mind parasite. I felt really good for my shadowheart at the end.
I had Selune + released parents. For me its best ending, grief it’s ok, but she can life her life freely. I hoped for bit more positive lines in the end…about shared future etc…home? Kids? Anything?
There's a dialogue I got where she details that a bit (like finding someplace quiet to settle away from the city and surrounding herself in animals and flowers as much as she can), but honestly I think it's perfectly fine for them to leave a lot of that up to interpretation. In my opinion, she'd love kids and probably start working with them as a teacher or maybe run an orphanage in some town a week or so away from the city. A lot of it depends on your own character and what you think they would build with her. I agree that I would have liked the epilogue to be a bit more detailed, but it's not a deal breaker for me by any means.
I feel like she's the happiest with her parents saved. I did the "save herself from shar's curse" at my 1st play through and it felt like she was suffering more with that decision compared to having her parents be with her.
she told me she wanted her parents, some pets, children and me by her side. i knew what i had to do. even if the world fell apart, i had to give her the happiness lol so i let orin capture lae zel while i was off saving her parents lmao worth it. shes happy im happy , we're all happy
I mean in the short run saving parents is the right choice. But in the long run freedom from the Shar is. Shar will always stalk Shadowheart otherwise and will claim her soul upon death. But if Shadowheart is free from Shar, she will meet her parents in the afterlife in Selune's realm(if she is Selunite). Also, children shouldn't sacrifice their lives for their parents, they should live their own lives instead. Same story with Wyll choosing between saving his father's life or breaking his pact(even if you save Ravengard from the Iron Throne, Mizora still will seek his death according to the pact agreement)
@WoozyGod Yep I think it devalues Shadowheart's parents sacrifice in some ways. They readily held on to free Shadowheart from Shar's obsession to claim her trophy.
@@WoozyGod No, Shar will not take her soul upon death. She started out as a Selune cleric and that's where she will go upon rejecting Shar. The narrator even points out how after refusing Shar and freeing the NightSong, she knows her powers come from Selune and "it might break her to admit it". She couldn't hear or feel Shar anymore. Shar's curse is just that, a curse. It does not mean her soul is set up to fall into Shar's grasp upon death. IMO ShadowHeart proves herself a true hero over the course of this game. But sure, killing your parents to avoid random bouts of chronic pain is a choice.
Killing her parents in Selunite brunch feels like giving up to Shar's trickery. It may seem like a relief from torture that lasted a decade and from the curse - but in reality, it's just Shar manipulating Sadowheart into accepting another loss, self-inflicted one, one she'd never be able to forget for the rest of her life. Probably wishing she could. Her childhood and her future were stolen from her, held hostage and in the end are used to put deepest scar on her heart. Yes, she's free from occasional pain, but she'll always be asking herself, what would it be like - to have a family. Refusing Shar her ransom and taking back what's yours without paying feels like the only just thing to do.
Her parents become Moon Mites, their purpose being to help ferry lost souls away from darkness. They gain a new purpose as Selunites and Shadowheart is able to go on to become the Selunite they always wanted her to be (without the Shar wound). Personally I think that's the best outcome, and it's what Shadowheart chooses to do if you don't try to influence her
same here, fuck shar (actually in both ways), and to get rid of the wound Id rather go on new quest to kill shar or merge her with selune or whatever else and make shadowheart new goddes of loss
I hope the dlc has more stories in stored for the companions. I never imagined being that attached to this companions. I was disappointed that the ending scenes was kinda short, but i also understand that it’s meant to be that way because the open ended segment is a good way to introduce a dlc story or in a sense it’s the player’s responsibility to imagine what their ending is after the quests and informations we got, my gale is now trying to find the crown (i imagine he’s having trouble with mystra still), my astarion being an awakened vampire now trying to seize his grasp to the realm, my shadow heart after some time accepted her parents death and lived along with my character, my lae zel fighting for the rebelion with orpheus watching, my wyl fighting demons in avernus and his father rebuilding baldurs gate, my karlach didnt fixed her engine and slowly turned ashes after the last fight and scene, although it’s sad she was happy about fighting even through her last breath, my halsin died at the goblin camp, I killed minthara, jaheira died at moonrise, i ignored minsc. I took 90 hours to finish the game, and it’s worthit even the lacklaster ending scenes, because again in the end my gameplay was mine and the adventure lives with my imagination. Thank you laurian.

SH becoming the absolute Well... well... what to do... 1) conquer the world and kill Shar 2) conquer the world and kill Shar (slowly) (Shar disapproves)

Best case scenario- She settles down with her lover and starts a family of her own, and in time moves on, and resists Shars temptations because she found happines again. Save parents: She retains her wound which causes her sever physical pain. However she is comforted by her parents said that she is forgiven and loved by them and most importantly given closure. She seems overall more happy in this even if Shar still torments her physically. Best case scenario- She finds a different way to remove the Sharran wound, afterall in the world of DnD almost anything is possible (she could also hack her hand off I guess, but thats probably going a bit too extreme).
To be fair, in the save the parents scenario, if you do choose to romance her you can also be part of her "family" via marriage . Even after her parents die you can theoretically remain with her to stave her off the path of Shar....so long as your an above human lifespan race that is.
@@meinegrose yeah of course, but her father is a full elf, so he will probably outlive Shadowheart and her children... and her grandchildren. Man, that gotta suck tbh
also, a lot of people forget that you have a lifetime to figure out how to get rid of the shar curse. And what happend so far and what is possible in the dnd universe (like the wish spell for example lol) it is very plausible to rid the curse. Killing the parents is a torment which you cant ever escape unless you rid yourself of the memory... but thats exactly what shar teaches and wants you to do.
Let's not go the Dark Urge route, after all Shadowheart's hand is not the problem, it's just a visual "anchor" point of sorts... if it makes any sense. Greater curses have existed in the DnD universes, so breaking some edgy pain curse from an edgy bitter goth goddess isn't impossible. And personally my elf cleric of Selûne (in his mid 20s) and Shadowheart have plenty of time to figure it out, not to mention powerful allies. Edit: also let's not forget that, during the epilogue party, Shadowheart's wound flares up but she literally doesn't give a fuck. She even jokes about it saying that Shar might have felt that she was having a good time. More than enough proof that she's far stronger having her freedom AND her parents, and Tav as either a lover or friend.
Surrendering Shadowheart to Viconia DeVir feels like surrendering Ciri to Emhyr var Emreis in the Witcher - would feel like an absolute bitch. Ciri & Shadowheart - in both of those cases those women had their life fucked up entirely becasue of their parent figures who did not give a shit about them at all, but actually wanted them back to fuilfill their own agendas and ambitions. Funnily enough - those are the same, as for both Emhyr and Viconia, Ciri & Shadowheart were meant to replace them (Ciri becoming the Empress of Nilfgard and Shadowheart becoming the Mother Superior of Shar) . So standing there before Emhyr or Viconia, having both Ciri and Shadowheart look at us with anticipation when we are offered to betray them - same chills. I saw those choices play on YT only as a curiosity and felt like a mind-whore for even seeing this. Can't imagine going all that journey with both Ciri and Shadowheart just to betray them in the end when thay look at us in disbelief, knowing well that thay will be subjegated to the fate they did not want in their hearts. Even harder when you know well that shadowheart will have here mind wiped out by viconia to forget that all that happened in Baldurs Gate 3 happened - us included, because of our betrayal, while Shar smiling in the distance.
Dude, you should see Dame Aylin's reaction if you give her to Lorroakan! It's fkin heart wrenching! And I also watched it on youtube, couldn't bring myself to do it in-game!
Its a must do in a evil play. Nothing more evil then giving her hope and love and let her true self conquer her own body, and then betray her and look how she gets the memories that are not good for her wiped again. After that u should be able to talk to her and tell her that the two prisoners in the cave are holding her real parents hostage and she has to torment them to get the location befor they die looool. Then telling her haha u tormented ur parents right now and wipe her mind again.👹 That would be a evil one
i feel like i need mind wipe after reading this bullshit XD you sound like total incel and psychopatch in one, congrats "conquer her body" - who says that? virgin who never touched a woman, so he needs to do shit like this in game for sure XD
I don’t think this is the finished romance end scenes with shadowheart larian studios say you could end up married and not a single ending happens with marriage so I think more cutscenes are comin soon
There is also an ending in which you didn't finish the quest and never found her parents, in which case she says that she feels that she neglected her problems and leaves you, at the meeting in camp, she mentions that she lives alone , this hints at the possibility she never found her parents too.
Apparently there's an ending for the Shar route where she still chooses to stay with you instead of leading the cloister, does anyone know how that happens?
Yeah just kill the nightsong and then save her parents. I got that ending and she stayed in a romance with me, however I never received a romance scene which is unfortunate.
@@Samlli Yeah I did this myself, super disappointed. Hope they add an epilogue like karlach's update going to Avernus. Would be awesome to be some place away from the city, with her parents, flowers, animals, and her and my durge watching the sunset. Like the beginning scene of act 3.
Selûne watching the last ending: NICE. That's my favorite girl, now the Absolute is d-WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE DOING THAT FOR Shar: and people say I am the one wrong in the head. Oh well, one bigger problem than each other.
@@exantiuse497 True. I spent my whole game being mid on Dream Visitor (not aggro AF but not really nice) and I was like "Oh, Mr. I-Spy-On-Your-Every-Action guy ... you see me romance ShadowHeart and then spy me fucking a devil woman and THEN spy me getting the thumbs up to have some casual flings from ShadowHeart and now you wanna pull me outta my dream to chill with your shirt off? This creepy fuck thinks he has a chance now just because I fucked a Devil and he keeps whining about his lost love?!?"
Yeah well I FUCKING SAVED THE WORLD ! She better worship the ground I float over ! If she minds that then she should have been the one to sacrifice her fucking soul to save me !
Essentially what the Emperor tries to do the whole game. Gotta say, in my recently finished save as a cleric of Selûne, it felt good to not only piss him off the whole game but also dismiss him at the end. Not only the final battle is made easier, because the only major problem is him and the dragon instead of countermeasures especially made to counter classes, but also felt good to see Aylin chopping him up. "Why didn't you kill him yourself?" Strategy. Orpheus had to reach the Crown, Shadowheart had to go with him for Sanctuary reasons, and I had to cover her (as a cleric of the war domain, I could hack through the arcanists easily).
Didn't get any of Shadowheart endings... Karlach ending prevents any Shadowheart ending, which is dumb, since all other companions got some conclusions or at least couple phrases.
I was hoping that this new patch would fix that but it didn't mention it so I don't know if it did. If not, I'm hoping they'll fix it eventually. There should be a scene with every companion at the end, especially a romanced one.
Is it possible that Shadowheart and Karlock lock each other out? I’m playing with a friend and I had the scene in Act 1 after the party where Shadowheart and my character drank wine. My friend wanted to romance Karlach but it seems it didn’t trigger because I had the scene after the party in act 1 and he had no scene with Karlach after that event.
i had the the scene with shadowheart in act one and then also began romancing karlach in act 2 one she got her second upgrade. had a romance scene with her and the shadow heart was like "happy for you but shame it wasnt me :P" so i think youve encountered either a bug or something to do with how the game handles multiple pcs romancing different characters in co-op@@Wayne1017FP
yeah, I don't ask them too much like fixing damn ending with more substantial epilogues, but at least eliminating stupid interconnections seems fair, you don't have to miss 1 ending only because you prefer another character, and to be fair, I can accept that if they would hate each other like Laezel and Shadowheart, but Karlach is cool with Shadowheart and vice versa. Bitch I gave you about 6-8 hours of my playtime, saved your fucking parents by slaying the whole Shar order and I don't even deserve to get a word from you in the end? Game is very rough at times, and it feels so especially in Act 3 which definitely need like 5-6 more patches. I love this game but it's quite far from being pefrect.
I saved her parents, was in a romance with her, and the ending where she goes off & says she'll save a spot for you still doesn't seem like a "good," ending, just an ok one ☹
yo i just beat the game, remember act the end of nightsong, she said she wanted to be with. At the beginning of act 3, if you express her dialouge, she tells you about what she wants including her parents and then ask she wants to share that with you. It seems all that was forgotten at the ending....
What? It's the normal romance ending. Basically her telling you that she gotta find a good place to stay BEFORE anyone moves in, either her parents or you. Unless we're talking different endings, and regardless of different endings, it is stated that you live with her, and even make a garden of night orchids.
I originally picked where she kills her parents and releases them and herself of the curse but knowing what I know now, I would definitely save her parents and not kill them
I picked that ending as well and wouldn't change it. This way she is ready to start a new life. Yes, what happened cannot be undone but at least she is completely free. If her parents are saved Shadowheart can't move on from her past because of Shar's pettiness, the wound is there forever, she won't be able to experience pure joy because if everything starts to feel good Shar would make sure it's ruined.
Dude the parents want it, this is nothing u should interfer in. They are old and weak and will die sooner than u like. And they did send a 10 year old alone in the woods lol. Its all their fault at the end.
@@MataSanyoIt’s a Selunite Rite. I imagine other Selunites have done it countless of times and there’s never been a child that’s gotten abducted by Shar up until Shadowheart. How could they possibly know what would have happened? Plus she wasn’t really in the woods by herself, her father was the wolf watching her.
The last time I finished the game completely (only twice) I was playing as a Sharran through mods and gave up Shadowheart. Probably one of the evilest things I did in that compaign despite being a durge. But Shar > Selune, so oh well.
Wait, so you make a video titled "Shadowheart: All 8 Endings" only for it to not actually be all, or even most of the endings. Most of these clips arent her endings just results if she is your romanced choice as the main character. With an ending such as these you very much expect it to be her endings as the origin character - not just what she says if you happend to be romancing her on your character.
When does one get this cutscene? I did all the same with her: Selunite, kill parents but i didnt get this cutscene. Also where is this dialogue happening?
mostly loot, but often times you char is not proficent with the gear or it doesnt suit your build hence you might never see them in cutscenes and see how "nice" they look. sadge

Shadowheart as evil, stirs something in me
Goth chick
I like her confident but sweet side more
There is also an ending in which you didn't finish the quest and never found her parents, in which case she says that she feels that she neglected her problems and leaves you, at the meeting in camp, she mentions that she lives alone , this hints at the possibility she never found her parents too.
Apparently there's an ending for the Shar route where she still chooses to stay with you instead of leading the cloister, does anyone know how that happens?
bruh is this real?
Yeah just kill the nightsong and then save her parents. I got that ending and she stayed in a romance with me, however I never received a romance scene which is unfortunate.
@@Samlli Yeah I did this myself, super disappointed. Hope they add an epilogue like karlach's update going to Avernus. Would be awesome to be some place away from the city, with her parents, flowers, animals, and her and my durge watching the sunset. Like the beginning scene of act 3.
@@SamlliI was wondering if this was a thing
Selûne watching the last ending: NICE. That's my favorite girl, now the Absolute is d-WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE DOING THAT FOR
Shar: and people say I am the one wrong in the head. Oh well, one bigger problem than each other.
The Mindflayer one is disgusting. Your character is basically begging and browbeating her into giving up her life so that you're not alone.
I'd say that's perfectly in chracter. What else would you expect from a mind flayer?
@@exantiuse497 True. I spent my whole game being mid on Dream Visitor (not aggro AF but not really nice) and I was like "Oh, Mr. I-Spy-On-Your-Every-Action guy ... you see me romance ShadowHeart and then spy me fucking a devil woman and THEN spy me getting the thumbs up to have some casual flings from ShadowHeart and now you wanna pull me outta my dream to chill with your shirt off? This creepy fuck thinks he has a chance now just because I fucked a Devil and he keeps whining about his lost love?!?"
I mean, she still loves you and wants to do what she can for you...
You miss the ending where Shadowheart save her parents and you became the mindflayer.
15:12 did they really DON'T record this voice actress line?
i don’t think the origin characters speak but idk
They did record it idk why it didn't play
@@squirrel1226you are wrong, for example, Astarion says this line if you play as hin.
There's also a shorter ending for origin Shadowheart if she doesn't romance anyone.
There should be a scene with every companion at the end, especially a romanced one.
has been fixed now, i just tested it@@MjollTheLioness-o4y
Damn, now I feel even more bad that I couldn't help her save her parents, I was ok with the ending I got, but with her parents is just better.
I saved her parents, was in a romance with her, and the ending where she goes off & says she'll save a spot for you still doesn't seem like a "good," ending, just an ok one ☹
Exactly! Seems like parents gotta go if you want her by your side. Not stuck with her family just a spot somewhere with her.
yo i just beat the game, remember act the end of nightsong, she said she wanted to be with.
I mean while she may seem less happy here, she literally did it like a few days ago, killing the parents is better long term
What Shadowheart end scene do you get if you didn't romance her? Like, at the docks after the final fight. (Selune with parents saved)
I got didnt complete shadowhearts ending, i want to cry😭😭😭
The last time I finished the game completely (only twice) I was playing as a Sharran through mods and gave up Shadowheart. Probably one of the evilest things I did in that compaign despite being a durge. But Shar > Selune, so oh well.
Saying one is better than the other when they're literally one and the same 😂😂😂
“Wear a mask” come on 😂😂😂
Wait, so you make a video titled "Shadowheart: All 8 Endings" only for it to not actually be all, or even most of the endings.
Same here. Never got any of these endings. My guess is that they're from an older patch and were removed for the camp scenes?
Are these only romance epilogues? Where do these scenes take place? I was only able to speak with her at the camp party.
I see so many great looks on peoples characters. Like the armour sets and shit. Is that loot or mods?
mostly loot, but often times you char is not proficent with the gear or it doesnt suit your build hence you might never see them in cutscenes and see how "nice" they look. sadge
Ah fuck I didn't complete her questline, now i'm disappointed with the ending. Guess I gotta spend another 50+ hours again.
9:49 🤢🤮
I don't think so m8
Shadowheart been watching too much hentai
how you get that outfit at the end?

In raphael house of hope. Angelic smth
If you betray her in the first ending, what happens to her?
Her memory will be erased, she will not remember anything that happened during the game
😂 all these videos showing female player characters. They forget there are male models too?
All part of the man hate that is THE TREND nowdays. Either that or because Shadowheart's VA has a girlfriend. Take your pick.
i need new ending where she pergnant with me :((
@don3531 nooooooo
@don3531 fuvkin hell nahhh, she mine alone
And the baby will be a bear
@don3531I don't get this joke because a poor choice of words made me kill Halsin 😂
13:38 Oh yeah baby, that was exackly what I did on play with origin SH: killed the Emperor and become Absolute myself. Now I can have Astarion kissing my feet anytime I want 😘
