I don't think I can adequately convey how excited I have been since I have discovered you guys. Probably more than I have been for any other band in a very very very long time... The overall sound is like a beautiful baby from dying feeders and vital remains that was smacked around by I don't know someone like Phil anselmo growing up and listened to a bunch of black dahlia murder... In the best way possible. Love it, keep it up

Having completed my first listen, I'm going to provide a first impressions list with some of the pros and cons, and an overall review, because damn. Lots I want to say on this. Pros: Incredibly well done emotion and atmosphere, absolutely dripping with both throughout Amazing blend of brutally heavy music and beautiful music and vocals Guitar and bass work are fantastic when clearly audible, and suit the pace and tone of the music Guitar solos are some of the best and most well contextualized I've heard in recent albums Noticeable vocal improvement and increased range from previous Angelmaker releases Awesome and very intricate album cover, which I think quite effectively captures the vibe and essence of the album Pacing is dynamic and varied, makes the album fun and exciting to follow along with Cons: When the different vocalists are performing simultaneously, it is enjoyable and very well done, but it happens a bit too often I think. More breaks in the layered vocals for individual vocalists to contribute would be an improvement Guitar work and melody are pronounced at points, but I think should be worked into, and clearly audible during more of the album. Overall review: Based on my first listen, I would consider Sanctum to be Angelmaker's finest (and most intense) work yet, certainly one of my favorite albums of the last several years, if not for Shadow of Intent's release of Elegy, could have a shot at my AOTY, but as is it is still my current second place. Kudos to everyone, the album came together beautifully. Favorite tracks would be "Eating the Body of God", "Effulgence", "Gutless", "Lazarus", and "Wither" and "Bloom", which I put together. My overall favorite, as it was when the EPs came out, is still probably "Eating the Body of God". It also may be my favorite Angelmaker song that currently exists.
