I've been using Lido Mounts for a few years. Great products. Thanks for the interview

How do you get the product delivered? Jim won't answer the phone, emails, or voicemails.

I just installed the 18 inch HT mount in my truck. Work well to get the radio up where I can see it! Thanks for the interview Jason!

I’ve got several Lido mounts and found that the plastic is not as durable as I would like. The seat mount gooseneck is great but the end that has the ball mount snapped and they _don’t sell replacement components._ I only have two remote heads on my bracket, for the FT891 & FTM400. With the help of a friend, who is a retired metal fabricator, we made a custom bracket to replace the broken part.
Sorry, but I’ll be going for Ram mounts in the future.

The redesign might have solved that issue. It does surprise me that you couldn't buy a replacement part. It appeared to be a very modular system so I would have assumed that any part could have been purchased separately.

The new mount that was featured looks much better! 👍 But when I contacted Lido and was told I couldn’t get individual replacement parts, I was quite disappointed! To be fair, all the other components have held up fine but if I lose any other components then I’ll have to find a new solution. 🤞

I dig lido, bought their cup holder. I use it for HT's or FTM-400-XDR. Never had a problem.

You haven't heard of them for a reason. Their customer service is the same.

I have the cup-holder mount with hanger for the ic7000 in my 02 gmc yukon but it should have been 3-4inches longer

I have a couple of mounts that I will be using in my JK for the FTM400 and the 857D. I'll have a video in the future that covers my installation.

Start from the bottom and work your way up. Where can you mount a base? This will determine what mount to get. After that what radio…..will it fit in the car with the mount you chose? Check out their website. It lists mounts with applicable radios underneath them. I have a D710 on a CD mount and the L-Max with my 5100, 2 speakers and 2 microphones on it in the same car.

First saw Lido in videos from Hamcation. Definitely seems to be the company to go to to mount radios in vehicles!

Lido lied! (At Xenia 2023)...They said the LM-300 would work with the Yaesu FTM-500. Its a piece of junk. I bought one from Ham Radio Outlet and all the adapters WILL NOT work with the FTM-500. Holes don't line up in any way. Its like their is a adapter missing because none of the ones that came with it are not even close. The bolts they give with the kits ONLY fit the adapters. And the bolts that came with the Yaesu, the head on the bolt is too big and nothing will fit over it. Even if the bolt head was smaller the holes still wont line up. They give no instructions of any kind whatsoever. You would think they would give you some kind of example for each radio how they mount. I mean absolutely NOTHING!. Poor business Lido!

I wonder if you HRO handed you the wrong one by chance? I picked up a mount for the FTM500 direct from Lido in Xenia and it worked well. I have a video coming Friday. Did you get the quick detach plate?

    • @markwarren7116

Well when I asked them at Xenia they told me I didn’t need anything else because it was all in the package. They should have told me that I needed the AD-1 adapter. But someone at Lido has contacted me about my problem. And HRO didn’t tell me that when I ordered it from them. I had told them that I have the new FTM-500 and they never mentioned anything about that I needed a extra adapter. They need to tell their customers this.
