Sports games have only really gone downhill since EA got exclusivity rights to basically every major sport brand. The games only used to be released yearly to update the new player roster for every year but now with the power of the internet, instead of updating the roster through an update, they hit the “print more money button” and release a brand new game that has very minimal changes. This has gotten to a point where even game journalists have begun critiquing the copy/paste format by copy and pasting their reviews from the year before (I think it was ign with fifa but I don’t remember which one and yes this is a real thing). I’m surprised that the fans of this game don’t wait a month for the game to enter the Walmart clearance bin where they can get it for like a tenth of its original price.
