I bought one about 3 months ago. It’s a fantastic build & built for purpose. The large spot I use for a pencil ✏️ sharpener I use pencils & a clutch pencil. Thank you Galen leather, thank Michael .
I bought the Crazy Horse Brown Expansi folder & love it! I have an inch-thick sketchbook in mine that I bind up myself. But I do carry my drawing pancils separately in a Galen pen case. I have bits of paper etc on the left-hand side. The Expansi folder has pretty much made my old Galen folder obsolete. Galen make wonderful gear!
I've been drooling over the B5 Slim Cover in Forest Green for a few weeks now(combined with the Yu-sari notebook)...and then I go on to drool a bit more over the Kilk x Galen Celestial Bohemian Twilight...and then I have to negotiate with myself to wait at least until after Christmas to get the cover...and then I feel the pain of knowing that Bohemian Twilight resin is going to keep taunting me until my financial situation improves...at which point it will likely be gone forever... In short, fountain pens and notebooks have redefined the term "rabbit hole" for me. Cheers for the review, and I hope that folio gives you great pleasure for many years to come.
I have the original Folio in Ocean Blue. If I'd known an expanded version was coming out, I'd have waited on my purchase, but I still really enjoy using mine.
I was worried the Expansi might be a bit bulky, but turns out it’s absolutely perfect. Couldn’t be happier with mine. Many, many reports that the family behind Galen are really nice people as well, so just a win all round.
Oh wow! I just saw some more of the video… I can fit a Midori MD notebook AND a Clairefontaine Age Bag in at the same time, absolutely perfectly! Now I’m even more delighted with this!
Hey Mick, thanks for this. Do you reckon the section on the left underneath the organiser slots (where you say a tablet might fit) might fit something a little thicker? I'm hoping to fit a 207 x 145 x 22mm device in there. Cheers.
@@theoffstageme Thanks for looking - that's what I feared. I think I may need to have someone remove the organiser section and sew in a little elastic around the three closed sides or something so there's a little more give between the organiser and cover. It's absolutely an ideal size for me if I can just figure out a way to use that slot better!

Very smart improvements. Basically a portable desk.
Great Video Mick. Well done.

Very nice and very practical. I can imagine the patine will gain over time, amazing.

I'm going to grab one of these for my birthday in May, I can't wait to use it

Gosh, I think 22mm might be pushing it unfortunately.

Mick , did you know that almost 30% of fountain pens caps doesnt seal completly ?
