White is now a threat in 2020.. There has been a lot of ramp cards that I have seen lately of new releases. I also used to run an explosive Darien deck as well who can easily do over 100 damage to over 3 players..... I once killed 5 people in my playgroup as Darien and I was lucky that the blue players were tapped. You need a lot of stuff like land tax, Nykthos, Mana Vault and Mana Crypt in order to compete. But since the new cards of white say IF an opponent is ahead of you in bs like land you can play lands, and bs shaniragans like that.... So, I laugh when people say that white is the weakest... It is weak with 90% of it's commanders, but it has one of the best voltron commanders aside from my boy Darien!

I do love him, it's a pet deck of mine I built around 10 years ago. It was a themed casual deck by then, but by getting some good staxy pieces in there I do believe it can fair well in the actual meta

I don't know if this bothers other people, but I honestly don't mind misplays. You guys are playing a game, you make mistakes, oh well, it'll still be good fun to watch. Like, if you want to acknowledge the misplay and say, oops we messed this up, cool Great videos either way and love your work!
@@shazarn1 Sequeira had Yidris' Cascade online. He organized the top and passed to Eduardo, who casts Pull from tomorrow for 4. Sequeira responded with Fury Storm, copying the pull 2x. He then revealed 2 lands and a Mana Drain to counter Eduardo's Pull. In his head (and in ours ingame), he could both counter the Pull AND benefit from copying it, which wasn't the case. He just gets too excited and blinds us.

Thank you for the feedback! :) Well, when you sac a creature and ping yourself, Darien will trigger and create a token, because Anointed Procession is on the battlefield it will create 2 tokens instead, this way, you'll have 2 triggers to untap Blasting Station, when the first one resolves and untaps, you hold priority with the second one still on the stack, and sac 1 of 2 newly created tokens, to ping an opponent, then the second untap trigger resolves, and you untap Station, and sac the second newly created token to ping yourself, this way you create another 2 tokens, and keep going. With 1 sister on the battlefield, you won't lose life because all of your 1 pings to yourself generate 2 HP from the two tokens, so you go infinite HP infinite tokens and infinite DMG sacing the tokens. I never pulled it off, but I like the idea anyway so I kept it since the casual list xD and on their own, each card there is a good card in the deck, (maybe not so much the Procession since it's a 4cmc enchantment that doesnt bring much right away.
So what you're saying is all white needs to be good is a gruul deck to trigger its abilities for it! I wonder if maro would be willing to add that to white's slice of the color pie.
We actually thought beforehand that the gameplay would be quite interesting, mostly thinking Naru Meha/Yidris could stop either Darien or Ruric Thar from going faster than them, but it wasn't the case. So yea, it might end up seeming like it was an expected outcome, video 2 that didn't come to light due to a mistake, it had quite a different outcome, and neither Darien nor Ruric Thar were able to prevent the other player from wining. But Darien has it's own ways of dealing damage to himself, and hopefully you'll see that on a future video, as this deck is a favourite of Baal!

Something quite impossible to do, the only possibilities would be, either countering and then Fury storm would fizzle, and he would have 6 Gen mana next turn from drain, or deciding not to cast Drain when it was cascaded unto it, and having 2 copies of pull, and draw 8 cards. The way it was mistakenly resolved, he countered it, drew 8 cards and had 6 gen mana the next turn.

Used to run Soul's attendant, Soul warden, Healer of the pride and the new enchantment Ajani's Favor, now I tried to build it more resilient to the fast decks and put some more Glowrider effects, so I took out Ajani's favor, and took healer of the pride because of 4cmc and took out Soul's attendant for Auriok Champion, which can block najeela for days :) you can see my current decklist here: tinyurl.com/tyo9djv (WiP)
Luis Eduardo here. It wasn't a particularly fast table, I didn't need much interaction. Besides, a good bluff keeps players in check just as well, as we can see in this game :) I stand by my keep. It had a wincon, ways to dig and enough lands to play draw-go. I preferred that instead of going to 6.

Does Baal have the creatures like Healer of the Pride in the deck? If not then he needs to add all of them. That is the way to break Darien.
