Comparing both Ripper and Halford is unfair to both of them. The both contributed different elements to the band. But if I were to choose one because of respect I prefer Rippers vocals all the way, the man kept the band alive when it was going though it's worst moments. In fact the man sang the songs Halford wouldn't sing anymore, and Ripper made them justice. The man was a true humble champion that regardless of having the same capabilities as Rob Halfords, he never let the act get to his head. And Ripper never explioted his vocal capabilities with Priest. So we will never know what he would have provided to priest in later years.
