  • The Beyond Infinity has the same core as the Infinity but this one has HK22! You know what that means, more traction in oil and more angular down lane! Check out the video to see how they compare!

    This is one of the balls I am considering to replace my now cracked Ebonite NVS because the RG and Diff are identical. I figure the only difference in reaction is the coverstock. The other ball I am considering is the Perfect Mindset from Brunswick. I am wondering how the Beyond Infinity compares to the older Perfect Mindset, if they are even comparable.

    • @bowlwithVALue
      @bowlwithVALue  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hmmm....I'm not sure what the coverstock was on the NVS, but the the Perfect Mindset has a hybrid coverstock and Beyond Infinity has a pearl....both with HK22. I liked both of them on typical house patterns. The beyond is flippier for me than the perfect mindset. both are great balls!

    • @quinnkeating8431
      @quinnkeating8431 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bowlwithVALue I had to do some deep diving to find out what the NVS had fir a cover stock, and it was a pearl. So I guess that might out the Beyond Infinity as a direct replacement for it.

      @@quinnkeating8431 yes that would be great! LMK if that's the one you choose and how closely it compares! It might have more overall hook since it's newer technology, but it's a great ball either way.

      @@bowlwithVALue I just got my Beyond Infinity today, and it is going to take some getting used to with the house I bowl at. The reaction isn't as dramatic as I was expecting, but that may be due to fresh, heavy oil on the lanes. That being said, I love how it feels off my hand and how it looks going down the lane. It's not the direct replacement I was hoping for because of how early it reads friction, but I'll get used to it all the same.

    • @bowlwithVALue
      @bowlwithVALue  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@quinnkeating8431 Don't be afraid to hit it with a 2000 pad or even a 1500. It may not be reading early - it may be scooting through the oil because of its pearl coverstock. For me at the Queens, I needed it to read a lot sooner so I hit it with a 1000 pad and I was able to use it in some higher volume oil. It's such a pretty ball!

    I had ONE bowling ball in 1983-84 when I bowled at MSG and had to haul it on public transit as there were no lockers. Rarely missed spares and could find a line to the pocket within three shots on any lane conditions. Different world today.

    I just ordered the original Brunswick Infinity. My Pro shop guy wants me to try asymmetrical/hybrid for my first attempt at a hooking ball. I currently use a Rhino, but it's a straight shooter. Is there a different layout that you would have chosen for the Infinity? Also, I'm constantly seeing bowlers wiping their hand or towel on the underside of their shoe. Is this to get dirt for gripping (like a rosin bag)? It always confuses me. Lol.

    • @bowlwithVALue
      @bowlwithVALue  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great questions!! the drilling layouts depend on the way you throw the ball...so I'll leave that up to your Proshop guy :)
      I wipe my ball to get the oil lines off of it and then use my towel to wipe my shoes to get any dirt/sand off of the soles so that I can have a nice, consistent slide. It's also part of my pre-shot routine, which helps in competition (pressure situations)!

      Ah yes, I try to line up starting sliding 20 and hitting around 10, but my angles are usually a little off from that. If I slide 20, I usually hit 12/13. If I slide 20, I am usually standing 3-5 boards right of that haha

    One-handed bowling is obsolete: Bella Love Castillo is averaging 214 in league at age fifteen with a 15-pound ball and a two-handed style. Two-handed seems to be worth about 12-15 pins.

      I must disagree, two handed isn't for everyone, and even at the professional level two handed isn't completely dominant. ( EJ, Daria,etc)
