I’ve been teaching myself piano for about 6 weeks now. I love moonlight sonata but I knew I wasn’t ready to fully jump in. This was a great way to test waters and build myself as a pianist. I was hoping to learn the simplified version and then work in little bits as I go until I learned it correctly. Well I can play this segment pretty proficiently now. So I decided to start taking a stab at the original. I was pretty upset to find the original is in a different key. Making all this muscle memory not worth it. If anything it’s going to work against me learning it wrong first. Otherwise this was the perfect beginner tutorial. Definitely wish it transferred tho because now I’ll have to relearn it.

I’ve always wanted to learn how to play because of this song specifically. It was a little tricky at first but I’ve been practicing every day for about 30 minutes for the past two weeks and I feel so fufilled now that I have learned it. Thank you!!! Today I played this outside at a farmers market for money, and I got fifty dollars because I did way more songs! :D The piano is a great way to get your typing, and your speed down. It’s also a fun way to do it, and I highly recommend this song.
