I wish someone would make a video of Billie teaching Mike and Tre a brand new song for the very first time, well before they're ready to record it. I'd like to see what their process is like when they first learn a new song, because I have a feeling it's probably different from how other bands do it.

Year 2003 : supposed to be the release of Cigarettes and Valentines but recorded American Idiot instead .

That was because the original master tapes for Cigarettes and Valentines were stolen so therefore they couldn’t record the whole thing

​@@Mat_Gomez23False, actually. In the box set for American Idiot 20th Anniversary there is a booklet that reveals that, in reality, Warner executives weren't impressed with the demos they had of Cigarettes and Valentines
