You almost have to go through a tough training programme to appreciate the joy of just running. To go to an event and just be part of it without any pressure. Don’t get me wrong, we will soon get back on the horse for sure but these events are such a breath of fresh air
Absolutely, don’t get me wrong some times it’s ALL about the fast times especially if you’ve been working hard in training. But sometimes, it’s good to just chill out and enjoy yourself and the atmosphere
@@AubreyRunning For sure! You have to send it on goal races. It's like Rory Linkletter said to Kofuzi the other day, "Joy is the ultimate provider of energy," and races like yours here really helps remind me of that
Some races are for racing for sure and some are simply for enjoying and embracing running. This was such a good event for families and Reigate to just connect and celebrate running.
Aubrey thank you for showing us all how and why we should be more grateful we all need a wake up call once in awhile. That makes us more grateful for you, be well rest up.
It’s this side of running that we often miss out on when we are focused on fast runs and PBs. I was reminded how enjoyable they can be if you only set out to enjoy yourself
Ran this race the last 3 years! So really appreciate this video. I am running EHM this weekend so did not run this race this year so thank you for celebrating us everyday runners at this awesome event!
Ealing Half Marathon. I used to live in the Reigate area but have lived in Ealing for the past 3 years. 2018 was my first run Reigate. Back then they were celebrating their 5th year haha. @@AubreyRunning
AWESOME, what a hoot!!!! Here in France they kinda look at ya like you're an idiot if you play around, but I often do anyway if I'm not in too much agony!! Nice to see you gettin' the freebies too!!!
Absolutely the whole point of some of these runs are just for pure enjoyment. I think we sometimes forget to enjoy ourselves. Yeah Altra are amazing when it come to supporting me! I genuinely appreciate it… because they started when I had 600 subscribers just like some of you guys!
Genuinely love the brand not because they give me stuff 😂😂😂 but also because they supported me when I only have 600 subscribers. My loyalty is not dying any time soon
I will be honest that’s a great summary of the race. Good to see it covered from your perspective. I paced for xempo at 1:45 in the half. I was the guy wearing the Make Running Great Again, I don’t think you and your camera guy liked it to much but it’s a play on words.
I think I remember seeing you. I don’t have a camera guy and film everything myself so you probably saw a friend that was hanging around at the time. I am so thankful for the work you guys do, we take it for granted that you can just find a pacer and that’s it but what you do is amazing for so many people.
@@AubreyRunning it was probably your friend then. Running gave me new look in life so giving back pacing and helping out at events is my way repaying back what running has given me. Keep up the good work man 👊🏻
Great video that focuses on the joy of running and finishing lines, not finishing times!

@@AubreyRunning couldn’t agree more, the joy of running sometimes gets lost when you’re chasing times
Legend! This was the best video. Everything that I love about races right there. Running is a celebration!

Let me k ow when you’re doing your next run if you’re local to me and I will pace you on it
@@AubreyRunning you are a good man but I am in California. Maybe someday when I get a chance to travel to the UK.
Just an overall good dude! Truly deserve all that comes your way!
Thank you so much! Very much appreciated, I just wanted to show the vibe of the day and the kind of family focused and positive event this is

Superb stuff. Great running Aubrey. Looked like a superb race. Great job of showcasing the experience mate! 😎🤘

@@AubreyRunning for sure mate. 😊👍
Stop it, I'm tearing up!
We honestly have such an amazing community in running!
The Hill of Death, just when you think it's over it comes again 😂
The first hill sets the tone, and then you get another midway and of course the boss level hill at the end 🤯🤯🤯

Looks like a fabulous event 👌🏻 And some sick editing at the end 😎
It really was, the organisers went to town on it! Loved every second of it. Yeah needed to show off the new get up from Altra 😂😂😂
Loved vlog. Made the race look far more fun than I remember. You must go to the training sessions next year. They were great.
I will make sure I’m involved next time but yeah… loved every moment of this event,
Great video and such a great local event. Glad to see you enjoyed yourself but shame I didn't see you there as it would have been good to say hello 😀
I didn’t realise you were local to me. That would have been amazing for sure. Let’s make it happen next time

We love this video, almost as much as we loved conquering that final big hill with you. Well done Aubrey, great account of a fantastic event!
Thank you so much, I loved what you did at the end there. It’s really good to have people like you motivating others and pushing us on!
