I guess G.M made a flopp! I'm a diehard G.M fan; but my money would have been on the ford Explorer. Most of General motors good vehicles are Rwd, body on frame. Even though I'm not a ford fan, I'd prefer a 2010 only ford Explorer of Rwd G.M Suburban S.U.V. to an disposable Acadia.
Luke Vandenberg Those GM suvs with that shitty alloytec 3.6L are trash, you are absolutely right about that. neighbor had a Chevy traverse that had the timing chain go at 40k. Absolute P.O.S.
The explorer is old enough to where it still has a true frame and good ground clearance. you could see the front end of the unibody gmc acadia clipping the ground on multiple occasions. seems like most newer cars have a low front end.
These are unreliable american garbages which lost all their values when the warranty is done. These are disposables cars. You will never see anyone doing the same thing with a 10 year old Toyota 4 Runner, because they are well built, and always reliable over the years and keep their values
The gmc is a pile of junk that needs new parts all the time so no one would bother and the toyota is so reliable, no one needs parts for them, although I am a little mad that they destroy a toyota but whatever
That Acadia is no older than 2007. It's crazy how newer cars have aged better than cars from the 90's and earlier. In 2007 i wouldn't be as surprised seeing a 1997 model year car in the junkyard or being destroyed as a beater. Dang time flies. I can't believe it's nearly been a decade since 2008.
Chevy And Mopar Fan I don't see how that GMC could have aged well at all if it already has a fucking rod knock older cars are infinitely better than anything beyond the late 90s or 2000s straight through 2017 and Beyond though there are some cars within the two thousand and late nineties that are good but not a lot
Chevy And Mopar Fan I disagree 2007 isn't very old for a car. Give it 5-10 years more and it will be in the junk yard. these new cars and suvs are completely disposable, and aren't built to last as they are near complete plastic.
Omg I watched that channel all the time nearly a decade ago, that channel just a pile of dust now, But I remember markfreeman used to actually go to davidsfarm. RIP davidsfarm
Recently rented a GMC SUV and fell in love with it, then I had thoughts about off-roading it. It's crazy how a destructive hooning video is the best GMC SUV off-road video on all of TH-cam. Thanks!
All you had to do to get the explorer running is to rip out the passenger side rocker panel and push the button on the fuel reset. When you hit a hard bump it shuts off the fuel.
I'm not surprised that the Explorer outlasted the Acadia. Although that generation Explorer was known for timing chain and transmission issues, it was beat to crap here and still ran. Explorers are always better off road too.
It's been a time since I have liked a video, and this is the first time I watch your channel, and the first video I watched from your channel is this video and I liked it too much!!!
Not a fair comparison😁. I'm a gm guy but the fun fact of this is that explorer vs a trailblazer/envoy from that year (of course with the v8s) or the front wheel drive explorer vs that Acadia
when the ford stopped I thought surely you guys jumped the inertia switch, then when I see you hadn't I have absolutely ZERO faith in them every working now hahah. If they will take a jump like that i cant imagine how they would ever be worth a damn
Amazing how everyone talks shit about the Acadias. "they stretch timing chains at 100k".The Acadia weighs 4800 pounds empty. Spare me. Most Imports need the timing belt replaced between 80 to 100 thousand as maintenance. In other words you have to do it. So why is that okay but if the timing chain chain gets stretched the cars shit? Makes sense to me. I think this video proves the obvious. The Acadia took a lot of abuse. It also got around the track faster than the v8 Explorer in the early part of the video. Not a small feat considering its heavier and has a 6 cylinder.
@@silasmcgee3647 Most new cars from any brand suck now. Nothing is built to last i dont care if its a ford chevy dodge toyota nissan whatever theyre all junk unless its a preformance model. All economy cars and suv's are trash
all my family and friends wonder y im off the grid for as long as i have been and dont want to turn back. im gettin me those acres to do exactly that. with a few cattles and few corns or soys, stay safe!
Love that bit of the Acadia and the Explorer ripping around that corner over the jumps! Just like a rallycross stage!
I could NEVER get sick of these videos. I love it. Keep it up, I can't wait to buy some land and do this someday.
Weird how the Acadia is starting to appear in the junkyards, it feels like it came out yesterday
Acadias are junk. The motors need timing chains after 100,000, electrical issues up the ass, underside rusts out easily. They're GM's disposable SUV
ive done a 2nd set of chains on some under 100k they are gravy boats for mechaincs
Luke Vandenberg Those GM suvs with that shitty alloytec 3.6L are trash, you are absolutely right about that. neighbor had a Chevy traverse that had the timing chain go at 40k. Absolute P.O.S.
Blake Parker they are nice looking SUV’s but that 3.6l is a piece of shit and I’m a GM Guy
The explorer is old enough to where it still has a true frame and good ground clearance. you could see the front end of the unibody gmc acadia clipping the ground on multiple occasions. seems like most newer cars have a low front end.
Is it just me or are the cars you destroy pretty nice?
GMC Acadia SLT pretty much top of the line with all wheel drive I'd love to age one to screw with and do this to
The Acadia Is Nice, It's Not Just You.
Daniel Fl. They are.
These are unreliable american garbages which lost all their values when the warranty is done. These are disposables cars. You will never see anyone doing the same thing with a 10 year old Toyota 4 Runner, because they are well built, and always reliable over the years and keep their values
Daniel Fl. There pretty nice but the repairs they need (before thrashing) are more or the same as the price on them so the considered “junk”
Everyone that needs parts from these cars are probably so pissed, LOL
I'm not surprised someone would need parts for the GMC of all things
The gmc is a pile of junk that needs new parts all the time so no one would bother and the toyota is so reliable, no one needs parts for them, although I am a little mad that they destroy a toyota but whatever
That GMC caught some nice air.
Hope you boys had fun in that "BRAND NEW GMC"!
So much more fun when you rally them! Don’t kill until they hardly run.
25:48 I love this shit, where the car gets beat hard but still keeps going. I dont like when you kill them easy or early.
run some bar's leak in the radiator and marvel mystery oil in the gas. i bet the performance would be better on their cars and last longer
Those cars radiators we're soooo muddy so they didn't last long
Maybe Someday there’s a video called 500$ cars challenge its the exact same as your comment
The Acadia was a beast
That explorer jumped way better than I thought it would have.
Chevy And Mopar Fan IM ONLY 15 AND I FEEL OLD
Tyler Sticker same but 18
Chevy And Mopar Fan I don't see how that GMC could have aged well at all if it already has a fucking rod knock older cars are infinitely better than anything beyond the late 90s or 2000s straight through 2017 and Beyond though there are some cars within the two thousand and late nineties that are good but not a lot
There are many of those GMCs around me but I don't see any of them with Rod knocks yet this one does clearly a POS
Chevy And Mopar Fan I disagree 2007 isn't very old for a car. Give it 5-10 years more and it will be in the junk yard. these new cars and suvs are completely disposable, and aren't built to last as they are near complete plastic.
you guys should completly strp a car down and make agiant go cart out of it
this reminds me of the content from davids farm back in the day but with better cars
Sully Wunderlich may that channel rest in pieces :(
Omg I watched that channel all the time nearly a decade ago, that channel just a pile of dust now, But I remember markfreeman used to actually go to davidsfarm. RIP davidsfarm
And a school bus tow truck and a loader/backhoe
These guys are so Canadian, I love it!!
Recently rented a GMC SUV and fell in love with it, then I had thoughts about off-roading it. It's crazy how a destructive hooning video is the best GMC SUV off-road video on all of TH-cam. Thanks!
Where on earth did you find that GMC for $300?
That's what I'm wondering, I would've got it for that price. I have to wonder if it's from an auction, but it still seems too cheap to be $300.
Lincolnator 300 Canadian is like 10k USD
DemolitionBlueCheese I just converted it through Google. Not sure where you're getting 10k USD from. 300 Canadian Dollar equals 236.87 US Dollar
DemolitionBlueCheese Actually you're wrong
Cracker01
As of 06-03-2018 300 Canadian dollars is equal to 231.33 USD
What that explorer endured was damned impressive. New radiator and you could still daily the thing.
You should really thank your buddies for the content....best I've seen on your channel
Man I wish I could do this to my Acadia.
Try it!
love seeing newer kinda nicer cars being flogged, kinda shows how strong some really are!
That GMC and Ford could have been daily drivers!!!!!!
ThatSuzukiKid Inc a little problems her and ther other than that it's mint
Could have been scrappers. You have no idea what the problems were.
@@weatherguy173 both r junk regardless
Silas McGee well there junk now. Before the weren’t
I love my Acadia its hands down the best car I ever own if you take care of car it will take care you but if treat it shit it will fall apart on you
I love old explorers. Beasts
6:57.. I'm fuckin dead🤣😂 fuckin Acadia spare tire straight gave up as an anchor point!! LMAO!!
I didn't expect that GMC to even get off the ground. WOW
Acadia could become a nice dirty track days bae
All you had to do to get the explorer running is to rip out the passenger side rocker panel and push the button on the fuel reset. When you hit a hard bump it shuts off the fuel.
Tom Parry I was gonna say exactly the same thing
Fuel pumps are all plastic so if that don't work then I'd imagine the pump is all sorts of busted from them jumps
I feel bad for the Acadia
Mark Evan Its like 2011/12 car. New for me
Same here, from what I could see, it could have been fixed up and it was an SLT too
Silas McGee could you possibly tell me how many times the previous owner got an oil change?
Ian Willmott why ?
@Ian Willmott they're also GMC so even without those problems they would still suck anyway they both look and feel cheap just by looking at them
That Acadia was mint
I'm not surprised that the Explorer outlasted the Acadia. Although that generation Explorer was known for timing chain and transmission issues, it was beat to crap here and still ran. Explorers are always better off road too.
WHAT FUN!!! GREAT TRACK!!
I'm 57 years old and there are very few things I enjoy more than off-roading passenger cars!
27:32 that was sick
Mad skills on the cameraman to drive a motorcycle and clutch and film. Props haha
I wish i could get nice cars for that cheap.
will it pull try copart or iaai
Chill Tv is copart legit?
I have two of that snowmobiles and 2 300 and 2 phasers

I wood love to this one day
Nicholas Memoli I like wood
Nicholas Memoli Wanting that and writing like you do, really says a lot about your brain lol
It says he speaks at least two languages... potentially.
I wish there could be a cloud Storm that rain Cash on top of me. You guys are great
This looks fun as hell. Haven’t done this in a long time.
My inner Dave's Farm is pleased.
Holy shit I'm only two minutes into this video and I'm completely pissed the bed laughing so hard!
That explorer is a beast
Tbh I love ford but now that you found the switch I love seeing the fords out in the field xD
It's been a time since I have liked a video, and this is the first time I watch your channel, and the first video I watched from your channel is this video and I liked it too much!!!
Awesome video man I'm from Waterloo Ontario would be sick to go hit some trails with you guys
I thought this would be a compilation but I still liked the video
You boys are living the dream out there
I always wanted to watch a modern car being wrecked to see how well it holds up
I did that with cars from the 60's and 70's. I think they lasted longer. It sure was a blast. Nice to see the tradition live on.
That looks like it was so much fun
You guys are having sooooo much fun! I really envy you!
You guys are having too much fun, I can't allow it without me joining in to 'supervise', come to Oregon let's destroy some shit!
That ford 4.0 is a beast
Lol those traverses haul ass! I did a burnout (unintentionally) in my friend's mom's traverse
This adds a whole new meaning to Built Ford Tough. and Chevy Fail.
Not a fair comparison😁. I'm a gm guy but the fun fact of this is that explorer vs a trailblazer/envoy from that year (of course with the v8s) or the front wheel drive explorer vs that Acadia
In one of the jumps it made the rear wiper break XD
6:55 LMFAO
I bet the exploder was the inertia switch
Jumps are cool seems more fun watching cars race around chasing each other. Remember playing tag on hone made 5 hp bikes with friends.
Please do this track with the DODGE AND THE JEEP!!! LIKE THIS ONE!!! thanks
18:00 where all the action begins
when the ford stopped I thought surely you guys jumped the inertia switch, then when I see you hadn't I have absolutely ZERO faith in them every working now hahah. If they will take a jump like that i cant imagine how they would ever be worth a damn
You should get a station wagon
That jump needs a little smoother run up haha
It is so funny ramping the cars
The videos have been super lit
Man this looks so fun. I wanna do this!!
nice video and that looks very fun
If traction control was off in the acadia Would be no problem yanking that camry out even tied to the spare lol
That's awesome we call them expolders 2
Awesome video man!
I guess I shoulda watched the rest of the video. I got pissed off and didn't think you guys would figure it out!
I liked the video, subscribed, and post notification
Man I need a big property to mess around on lol
Which brand of dirt bike you dont like or perfer out of the main 6 yamaha suzuki ktm husky honda kawasaki. Xx
Bad ass. I would love to do this to some beaters
Humour videos are awesome
Subbed for the spare removal almost unsubbed for not pulling the car out by the exhaust lol good times man

Ashes 2 Ashes Honda crv 2.4l timing Chain stretch at 300000km and still runs good if doesn't slip theet
The Explorer is a V6. I think they tripped the fuel safety cut off when the jumped it.
I love acadia's😂😂😂
Great stuff!
Awesome good times! I've got a couple old cars I would LOVE to come shred! I'm just out side toronto.
I suffered throughout the whole video
I would've bought that Acadia for $300, how'd you find a deal like that?
Cause it’s a shit ass car
At a car auction.

I really like these.
i would love to have that acadia in the state that it’s in when you first got it!
The gmc is nice
I’d love to do this daily!
hi
FORDS ARE SO GOOD!!! IT KEEPED GOING EVEN THOUGH THE GMC COMPLETLY OVERHEATED AND GOT ENGINE KNOCKS!!!!
Louis Barningham they trashed the acadia the entire vid the ford came in later. Not to mention the ford also overheated at the end
Fanboy
Hold the traction control down for 5 seconds and the stability track turns off.
Best vid love it keep it up man
I like the slow mo
You are living my dream😂 love it
Now I know why the gmc was in the junkyard😂
Awesome vid
GMC did pretty good despite low ground clearance
