Quick note - I only meant it as being the best Bruce Springsteen version. He usually goes into a long story in the middle when doing it live, so to find a version that was just the song and recorded well was why I labeled it as being the best version. I like the Rod Stewart version if I had to choose one to come on in the car.
The original is pretty good to buy Manfred mann with Paul Jones singing. however the extended versions available live versions on TH-cam with extended beautiful soloing it's all magic music check a few of those out summer better than others but some are unbelievably beautiful especially again Roy Bittan on the piano
❤️Beautiful song! Great lyrics!❤️

lovely version of Manfred Mann song. Listen for that beautiful Roy Bittan piano!!
Thank you. I had never heard that version. I love it, actually. And good quality.
Really..... Don't.... Just don't.
He has always sounded like a poor man's second rate Bob Dylan
Poor man's or second rate? Can't have both. Pick one.
@@willreimerhaus Both would be incorrect
butchered a classic.
I kinda dig it, but I'm effed in the head!!!
bet it sounds great on a bottle of cough medicine and a nitris balloon
Wrong. This is great.
You realize Bruce wrote this song, so if you think he “butchered” it you’re wrong...
Robert Hanson nope Mark Batman weite it and Manfred Mann put it on red cord 1966...
