Hahaha that was a perfect postman impression... They're rough as guts down here in New Zealand. If the postie knew the box contained beer he'd finish work early or atleast have with his lunch.
They aren't actually that bad here but I know they can be really terrible in some countries. This was most for fun. I've do had my fair share of beer mail destroyed though.
I measure my homebrew on an Anton Paar machine, 'cos I can. Using a pressure fermenting unitank and a counter pressure filler my beers is around 0,1 ppm oxygen or less. I do not flush the bottles alot. Important steps in my process for not get oxidized beer: 1. Pressure fermenting or draining the fermenter from the bottom. Only using siphon when no other options. 2. Make sure kegs are truly evacuated with CO2. Get the sting in the nose from the other valve. Fill from bottom. 3. When bottling using counter pressure. Pressurize the bottle and hear the hsss for just 2 sec. 4. Here's the kicker. The tube goes almost all the way to the bottom, so the bottle is filled from bottom up. The first foam protects the beer from the atmosphere in the bottle. Finally cap on foam makes sure no oxygen is left in the bottle. I see no tube on itap. I gues the beer is flowing at the inside wall of the bottle, through the atmosphere in the bottle. Then flushing must be more important.
My postman is a kind man... Plus I share my homebrew with him. What came first nice postman or homebrew postman now nice ?? The very end shows my Fed-Ex man... who was a lady.
Looking forward to seeing this outcome. Fraz penman here from brewtube. I used my 60L Fermzilla for a NEIPA, was tasting fantastic!! I used my itap to bottle approx 80 bottles. They are all oxidised! Taste is still ok, but the colour really darkened. I purged twice per bottle. The intention was so I can stop bottle conditioning to the shop I sell too, and can brew/carbonate really hop forward beers without worrying about oxidisation…..at least that’s what I thought
i would think it all doesn’t matter that much. Purging once is maybe enough? The pro version of this back pressure filling also does not have to be purged several times in order to use it?
I think he was doing a cap-on-foam technic here. If your bottle headspace is full of foam from bottling no oxygen will get in when capping. I've had no issues with NEIPAS with this technic, just had one that had been in the bottle for 6 months and no color changes or other oxygen impacts.
@@MatiasSund yes, but it would intresting to sea the results with cap on foam vs purge the headspace. I just purge the headspace and have the beer foam free in the bottles (=more beer in the bottle). Never had any oxidation.
First, let me tell you I'm American, I have no problems understanding your English, and I'm surprised at your use of words and phrases that I wouldn't consider "textbook" English such as "kick-starting" and "grain to glass", which show some sophistication in your knowledge of the language. Last week, I purchased a single-tap iTap bottle filler and I'm now waiting for its delivery. Your skit of the postman has me thinking now. When I saw the title of your experiment, I thought maybe you were going to bottle your beer with multiple different fillers to see if there would be an oxidation difference, but I will be interested to see your results here nonetheless. The only thing I would say about the use of PET bottles is if I were intending to store my beer long-term such as with a barley wine (or barleywine here in the U.S. for legal reasons), I would do it in glass to reduce oxygen ingress to the greatest degree possible. For everyday beers that will be gone in a month or two, I think they're fine. I've enjoyed many of your videos, thanks!
Thanks buddy, much appreciated. I wouldn't long storage in a pet bottle either. But for beer mail that's my go to bottle, just because of the post man treatment. I have had beer trashed in the mail to many times. Cheers 🍻
Sick, learned three things from that video. More uses for SodaStream, vacuum sealing beer, and that your postmen are careful professionals! Cheers! Also, I want an ITap.
Love it! Yup post man is a B@sT@rd here in Aus too. I should know my dad Used to be one lol!!! My guess oxidation on Bottle one. Bottle 2-3-4 all the same. Cheers Keep up the great work
Thanks, right now I'm trying to focus on saying video and not “wideo”. Ain't might be the next one if I learn how to do it right. Baby steps, it's a second language for me.
@@DrHansBrewery video-wideo whatever, we'll just just assume you are Chekov. I wouldn't worry so much about things like that. However, to pronounce the v put you teeth to your lip as v is a dental labial fricative in English.

LOL...."Leg Rests". And your English is way better than my Swedish.
Thanks, cheers!
Agree, your English is great. Aussie here. Thanks for your videos as always!
Thanks Damien!

Hate the shirt lol but that postman bit cracked me up. Same shitty service here in Denver

Hey Doctor, really interesting experiment, looking forward the results!
Maybe next time try having another 4 bottles with Ascorbic acid?
Cheers!
Hahaha! Mr Postman! 😂😂😂
Btw, your swenglisch is perfect! 👍😄
Its easy to understand for me as a Swed.
😂

off course he's nice if you bribe him with homebrew 🤣

The result video will be released today!
Cheers
Nice one. Interested to see what’s best going forward (haven’t made a shop Neipa since in fear)

We will se the results in next Sundays video
you treated the box the exact same way mail gets treated here in Australia
dropped…..thrown into a truck
Maybe I can get a job there
We got to make our beer boxes damn near bomb proof down here in Texas!🍻
I only send beer in pet bottles now. Cheers
11:38, I love your comment ! haha !
If you only knew. It's hard to bitch proof videos. Cheers 🍻
Behöver du adapter för PET? Eller fungerar den som ingår? Dvs för long neck :)
Det är en egen adapter tyvärr!
You should also try flushing the headspace after filling the bottle, if it's possible with the itap.

@@Shreddah that is true. Would be really interesting to see.
There is no headspace as I capped on foam.

Does the "Kick it" in the beginning work?
Have tried some diffrent stuff, so far I haven't heard a "bad" comment about it.
@@DrHansBrewery "Kick in" would be a better replacement for kick-starting or to start if you want to avoid being repetitive.

Get one, you'll love it
You’re fucking wild !!!! Love the content !!!
Thank you so much
I want to brew a NEIPA, but I only bottle my beer, so I have not dared to. This should be interesting.

Thanks, yes you should know than. The conclusion comes on Sunday!
Bra video 🍻🇳🇴

I love the bitch proof bottles hahahah
Trying to make something bitch proof is not an easy task
Your English is fine with me however my buddy from Norway,Gayorg says that you sweeds can't seem to do anything rite,LOL great video keep it up cheers
