Which drone do you have? I used to have that 'shimmering' effect. Found it was the camera vibrating verses the camera frame rate. But I have a Phantom 1 (the first proper drone) but without a gimbal - had to buy a third party gimbal and wire it into the controller - months of tweaking!

i have the viper pro drone with a rotating gimbol
