From someone who have build a DIY board with almost the same spec as Challenger I would say the price is pretty fair for the board (my DIY board with Omakase deck and Xenith esc was a bit cheaper than Onsra Challenger)
There's a reason why the Challenger has such a concave: To prevent wheelbites otherwise we wouldn't be able to add 105mm wheels. Does anyone know the space from the wheels to the deck on the Stoke?
I think the stoke is more focused on being a light, short distance travel friendly board and the onsra being 12s2p is not able to travel but has more power and range like the boosted clones. Interesting comparison.
Fantastic review as usual. I recognize this is probably apples and oranges, but from the standpoint of urban commuting on congested, pot-hole filled roads, it would be interesting to see a One Wheel Pint v. Onsra Challenger comparison.
The Tynee stinger has the perfect concave, dual 3000 watt x 2 motors for 6000 watts total mind you. It has a beautiful traditional yet not design. It has a 12s3p 544 wh battery which is insane. It has a 34mph top speed and the bushing/washer setup keeps it stable. And its 850bucks. And it comes with boosted 105 clones. No brainer.
The controllers are different too. I prefer the wheel style controller. But I'm still riding a Boosted Stealth to work and back, and that's the kind of controller it has.
Love the video! This comparo style with lots of B roll is you guys wheelhouse. You are the top of the top in this format. Funny on the Cloud wheel love. I wish there was a wheel with lots of give and a tread but a flat profile for predictable breakaway (I ride Seattle and LA ‘war zone’ like streets and can’t do a pure street wheel). Maybe a new product for you guys!?!?
Hey there, just the info(wheelbite) about the challenger I was looking for ✌👍. Oh and thumbs up for the review...excellent, honest and detailed, just perfect. Btw what is your weight and did you change the bushings or were they stock during the testing?
Hi mate, appreciate the videos please keep it up! I have a question, I don't know anybody with a stoke and bamboo gtr like you and wanted to know if you connect the big bamboo gtr battery to the stoke does it function? I know its too big but in an accident on my stoke I snapped the board and ruined the battery so I'm going to get a bamboo deck and battery and hopefully all the stoke stuff will work because I think its the same? Just want to be skating again but can't afford the new board 😥😅 please help ❤
OOOOoooooo as soon as I heard "cloud wheels" I had to run straight to the comments! all jokes aside great video, love the differences shown between the two boards.
trucks are fine, ESC and motors still perform like the original Black Carve, slow off the line but once it gets moving, its fast. For this type of board I don't feel like you need savage off the line performance.
@@averageeskatereviews Got you, surprised about the trucks given your criticism of the generic Chinese DKP trucks before. Glad you are back making reviews though. One another note, Chris should love the Evolve Hadean since it addresses all of your demands and upgrades.
@@johnglover4318 Same motors and battery as the M5 so very underwhelmed to be honest. M5 also uses a proper Vesc (Focbox Tenka) so it’s much more customisable regarding max speed and power vs the new Evolve. Expected a lot more for what they are charging. It’s very expensive for no reason 😔
I cant believe you dethroned the STOKE and complimented (somewhat) the Cloud Wheels😆Did hell freeze over? Just joking....Absolutely love your channel Bro. Keep them coming.
Really Chris! Cloud wheels!! Lol. Nice review. I chose the Stoke because it is lighter and I have 97 mm Abec wheels without wheel bite. You like the generic Chinese DKP trucks now? And the HW ESC? Are you doing the Evolve Hadean? Seems to live up to all your previous demands on a future Evolve.
For this type of board, the combination worked fine. The board (like the first black carve) is a little slow off the line but once it gets going, its fast. We'll probably do a video on the Hadean but its basically a restricted version of our own M5 with a MUCH bigger price tag. Disappointed in the spec vs the price but we will feature so king of video later in the year if we get our hands on one.
@@averageeskatereviews Well, there is as you have pointed out many times the bits about support/spares and I think the Hadean has fairly impressive performance and features. I think you would need to have more choice of pulleys, options and spares for your board.I would need pulleys for Kegel to be able to put Onsras rubber wheels on your board.

So don’t watch 😂 This board and it’s riding style vs a long board are totally different. If you watched the entire video, you would have heard me say I plan to change the cloud wheels for 97mm street wheels 🙄 special, social guy, ride safe and thanks for the view 👌🏾
When you said “It’s kind of clear that the evolve is the better looking board” I kinda felt attacked because it’s definitely the onsra that’s the better looking board.
Not sure how you can compare these. In Australia, the Stoke is $1100 Aud and the Challenger is $1800 Aud, the same price as a GTR. I would hope the Challenger is better in all departments. The only thing they have in common is the kicktail.
I love every video you guys make. They are usually great, informative and unbiased. However, I will say I think you guys dropped the ball on this one. It seems strange to compare a board which is clearly made and advertised to be able to air-travel, with a board which is clearly not. The range, speed and acceleration differences can all be explained as the Stoke was designed around a travel format. Personally I would not buy the Onsra as I need a Stoke sized board for travelling.

Glad we could help! Where are you based ?
Australia... miles of pathways where I am ;)
For the concave on the challenger I suggest wearing running sneakers. It makes it more comfortable rather than wearing skate sneakers which are flat.
Agree. Plus you don’t really need skate sneakers on an eboare considering you just stand in place compared to traditional boards
Comfort is subjective my guy.
