Fun fact: If you stir in the same direction while scraping sides and bottoms it helps with bubbles. 😊. Kudos to you for providing such detailed information about using a mask and hopefully nitrile gloves as well. So many creators don’t use a mask when they film and it is frightening because even if you don’t have an allergy at first, one can develop at any time. Thanks again!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻
Mayra! I love that you stressed the safety precautions. I see professional companies that sell their own brands of epoxy, insisting that it is safe to use without a mask. I just think it’s better to be safe now than sorry later. Also, excellent tip with putting the epoxy in smaller bottles. I do that as well, just basic squeeze bottles and it is so helpful when trying to measure out small amounts. Excellent tips! Thank you
I have always used your epoxy method from the beginning and nothing else! It works amazing! I have a heavy hand and can only imagine if I used my full hand! I have learned soooooo much from you boo! One of the best teachers! I love how you ALWAYS stress safety first! I myself suffer from migraines and it’s no joke! Love always your Shay Bae Bae 💕💕💕
Yessss boo so happy to know you are always being safe that is number 1 key and yes boo i suffer from them so much and i dont want any of my sweet baddiees feeling sick 💕💕💕💕
Mayra, you rock! I was just thinking about how I wish there was a video with the detail you spoke about in this one. Thank you so much for making this.
Thank you for this detailed video on epoxy boo! I dont use epoxy, Im a BT user but I learned a lot. I would like to try epoxy some day. Maybe when i have a better and bigger setting for crafting. 😃I cant wait for your next video boo! Besitos😘
Wow your amazing I cant wait till one day i can retire and travel as well my love… im sure you had an amazing journey creating such beautiful work left for others 😍😍😍
Hi. Such a informative video thanks for sharing this information with us! I had Covid and it left a ton of side effects, it hurt my lungs so much. And that’s why I’m very iffy of using epoxy as it’s toxic and can cause respiratory issues. But I want to make beautiful cups. Just received my Grande Finale 2.0 Fast Dry Tumbler coat (CrystaLac), from your experience would you say it’s a good alternative for epoxy?
Thanks for the video! Do you reuse the plastic cups? Also, can you do (or do you already have) a video on getting good coverage on chunky glitter? My epoxy always pulls from the rim and I have trouble covering it :(
Yes I like this types of videos. For me is super helpful because I never took a class of epoxy and I didn’t know at the beginning was toxic they one who told me is toxic was my husband 😬 and he got the mask and everything I need. Now I just found out I am pregnant 🤰 and I didn’t make a cup in one month. I’m scare because I work with cups in a room… I open the windows but I think is not enough 🤷🏽♀️
I'm new too to resin too and work in a room I use a window exhaust fan and HEPA air purifier and my face respirator I also watch littlelee and rose I'm no expert I'm just learning like you.
My love i think its important that you do what you think its safe for you and your baby in the belly it’s important you dont epoxy in an area where fumes can seep into your home as they are harmful to you so please wait if that is what you need… Safety first always my love 🥰🥰🥰
Hi sunshine, I am so happy that you are enjoying these kinds of videos I will for sure be making more like this one. Congratulations on your pregnancy oh my goodness how exciting boo 😍 I am not qualified to give medical advice, but I know that epoxy is not recommended during pregnancy. Especially inside your home, I would definitely talk to your OBGYN and see what they recommend for you to do sunshine. ❤️
hi Mayra!! i love your videos! i know you mentioned in the beginning of this video about getting dimples in your epoxy when you first started. do you know why that was and how to fix it? i’m new and thats been my biggest issue! thank you in advanced!
Thank you for all of the terrific information. I am relatively new to resin and I’m trying to learn as much as I can. In my quest for this knowledge I am searching for more TH-camrs to learn from. You mentioned your friend Nicki in this video. Can you please give me her channel name? If there are any other artists that you think I could learn from please give me their channel names as well. TIA
Boo she has a IG under nickis_knacks my love there is sooo many of my followers who have been crafting as well for many years and have also so much knowledge of epoxy my love..💕💕💕
I really liked this video. I would love a video that teaches more to do with silhouette and Photoshop. I like to create files in those software so I can use them wherever. I have a Cricut so of course I still have to use DS; but if I create a graphic in DS I can’t use it anywhere but DS. Also, you mentioned why not to use wooden sticks and silicone sticks but you didn’t mention the metal stir sticks; what are your thoughts on those?
Thanks for the information I live in apartment so no garage I do resin in my extra bedroom I have a exhaust window fan one window open and two HEPA air purifier in the room with me and three other HEPA air purifier around my apartment pluse my drawer x-plore 3500 respiratory face mask.should I do more
My love it sounds like your doing everything you can to be safe and always keep the door closed after so that no extra fumes make it into your area of your home that you use or have access to use❤️❤️❤️
Hi, kind of off topic question. I'm making a family member a cup to commemorate a special day...to be honest my last layer of epoxy finished drying last night...when I was checking it at about 10pm, wouldn't you know it, I discovered that I had but the wrong date (only 1 number in the date is wrong) on the cup... I REALLY don't want to strip the whole cup back down to fix this...is there an effective, newbie friendly way to take off the wrong date and put the right date on there and bring that area back to the same lever as the rest of the cup? HELP please
I have seen people re-use them love, they just squeeze the cup and it cracks the dry epoxy inside and you can clean with warm water and soap. I dont like to reuse them becase any little residue that is left in the container will end up in your epoxy and on your cup. ❤️
Me encanto tu información yo trabajo en la sala de mi Apt hago pocos vados pero me da miedo 😳 las consecuencias de la intoxicación… una sugerencia si hablas tan bonito el español porque el video no lo haces en Español
Mayra loved the video….. don’t think you really explained about getting the dimples in your epoxy. I’ve done everything that you showed us to do in mixing it…… I continue to get dimples in areas😩😩 WHAT am I doing wrong… Please Help!!!
It affected my lungs...it isn't getting worse because I use PPE now, but didn't even think about the toxicity until I watched a you tube video and they stressed safety! I had no idea there was anything wrong. I just needed to get a CT scan for another issue and the dr noticed my lungs! It is a silent enemy people...please listen to Mayra!!
OHHHHHH my love im happy you know that it was affecting you and you can make a change for your own safety my love im happy you are ok and yes I cant stress it enough SAFETY always for my cute little baddiees🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi Myra thank you so much for the info. Quick question are those measuring cups reusable?
No my love they are not since they are not silicon😍
Thanks for the video! Do you reuse the plastic cups?

Yes my love its important and not many talk about the other parts of crafting which go hand in hand and are also just as important 😍😍😍

The plastic mixing cups you use are they disposable or reusable, if reusable how do you clean them?
