To agriculture I don't know how old you are but i can attest to you in the early 80's I was availed the opportunity to move from kombo with my brother who was a teacher by then to Crr to complete my primary 6. I have seen people of those areas producing rice all around the year with the help of the irrigation systems. I have also seen cotton and groundnuts in thousands of tonnes produced through out the country. Sarro under Gpmb was able to employed hundreds of workers who work round the clock in shifts. Before yaya tony daba Jammeh coming in to power our healthcare system was one of the best in the sub region. I myself I have seen patients filling up in Bansang hospital from southern Senegal for treatments. It was supported by the Chinese government by then which brought in doctors to Support the hospital, but only to be scrub to the ground in 1998 by your leader Yaya tony daba Jammeh after locking ties with Taiwan. In regional trade the country was the best at the time which attracted lots of people from neighbouring countries and beyond because commodities prices were at their best. I know you didn't asked this question, I want to bring your attention to the memories of GPTC which was fully operational through out the country and was the country's only public transport service. He was the planner, an architecture, the engineer, and a designer, that why those poor roads never last any longer, the schools were only quantities and no qualities, the hospitals buildings were never equipped. Electricity was more worse compared to the previous government before him and after him. When one's have 5 hours in a week electricity then it's called luxury.Water was more worse because in some areas one have to wake up at 3 am for a bucket of water for shower and cooking purposes. Who built GTTI, MDI, School of nursing, School of Public health, and Gambia College was it Yaya Jammeh? Hell no!!!! Who built The Central bank, Gamtel, Social security and housing estate, GUC ( now called nawec ) The Gambia ferry Service, GPA, Gambia Army, The Police Force, GPMB, all the institutions etc Was it Yaya tony daba Jammeh ? Hell no!!!! So for you supporters of Yaya tony daba Jammeh you need showcase on his so called achievement than telling us he is only person who can rule the country which I find very ironical.
The world know Gambia better within his 22 years in power in all aspects. Can you name me 5 high schools 5 senior secondary schools 5 major hospitals 5 Gambians students who went to study in abroad sponsored by the Government? 5 from the medical aspects 5 education 5 Agriculture 5 security 5 PHD holders 5 generals in the military From 1965 to 1994? Which at the time is incurable diseases till today, obviously it will called the attention of the whole world to know who this mad man was. I don't know of any positive thing that the world knows of Gambia during his time in office apart from trying to seek attention. You mentioned that during his time that he built schools, hospitals and so forth. But the fundamental question is where this schools and hospitals having quality services for the country, and if yes how comes our Educational system and our Medical services becomes the poorest in the sub region. Your other silly questions where you mention to name 5 person from each ranging from Army General, Phd schools and etc just to summarize it for you.
1) To make decorations for people just to buy their loyalties and was not based on any merits is just wasting taxpayers money deliberately.
2) Producing lots of paper degrees example PHD ( player hatred Degree ) without that reflecting on the development aspiration of the country is worthless. For over 50 years we were unable to provide basic needs for our people : clean drinking water for all, electricity for all and good roads. I'm not saying political roads, or political electricity. A country who for more than 50 years is unable to be food self-sufficient. Did Yaya tony daba Jammeh achieved any one of these? He was busy buying old Russian flights which are more older than him, luxurious cars only to be ferrying his family and entourage around the globe on Borden of taxpayers expenses. Tell me what used did those foolish 5 aeroplanes has for the Gambia? And organizing foolish jamboree. I hope you will answer the questions i asked before when you reply and for the UTG i will address in my next segment. Moving on the high schools now called senior secondary, the previous government found deemed it not necessarily to built in New high schools which will not be attended at the time, because the mind set of our people was western education was evil and is going to change their children to adopt western life styles. That makes it very difficult to change their mind set , but yet still with the limited resources they have at their disposal were able to pull out the sharpest brains for the country. To agriculture I don't know how old you are but i can attest to you in the early 80's I was availed the opportunity to move from kombo with my brother who was a teacher by then to Crr to complete my primary 6. I have seen people of those areas producing rice all around the year with the help of the irrigation systems. I have also seen cotton and groundnuts in thousands of tonnes produced through out the country. Sarro under Gpmb was able to employed hundreds of workers who work round the clock in shifts. Before yaya tony daba Jammeh coming in to power our healthcare system was one of the best in the sub region. I myself I have seen patients filling up in Bansang hospital from southern Senegal for treatments. It was supported by the Chinese government by then which brought in doctors to Support the hospital, but only to be scrub to the ground in 1998 by your leader Yaya tony daba Jammeh after locking ties with Taiwan. In regional trade the country was the best at the time which attracted lots of people from neighbouring countries and beyond because commodities prices were at their best.
I know you didn't asked this question, I want to bring your attention to the memories of GPTC which was fully operational through out the country and was the country's only public transport service. Thank god with the help of your leader Yaya tony daaba Jammeh he shutdown the institution and replacing it with Gelegeles which costs the demise of many citizens on the roads. Can you imagine whats like to have a 13 year old young girl sticking around several restaurants and "picking up the customer for a hundred Dalasi one time"??
