Rag is such a sad Hero, Sire Denathrius could easily get a quest for killing 25 minions for a way better reward, and all Rag does is a miniscule buff by the time you reach it.

I agree Rag needs a buff, either less minions killed or higher buff when it's completed

The advantage Rag has is always knowing the quest you are playing for, where as Sire has uncertainty.

​@@superbaas8822knowing that you will get a trash reward that is delayed by at least 7 turns is hardly an "advantage". Considering the games average 14 turns these days, you only have a HP for half the game for +21/+21 on each minion, meanwhile you have a T6 spell that gives the same stats for 2 gold. You can just as well ignore Rag hero power and play to get as strong as possible to not die before you land on a good build, and swap your HP as soon as you can

Rag was deal 8 at start of combat. He was only slightly worse than og Gally who had an hp of 1 mana to gain a coin. Best waseither Brann or Nefarian. Brann which could refresh the Tavern w/ battlecries to force Murlocs. Nefarian did 1 to all enemies at start, the only consistent counter to ds murlocs.

Brann wasn't part of the OG set though. As I recall, you were mostly hoping for Maly or Curator because the 1 big minion strat worked and then you can pivot to murlocs

Just in case anyone didnt know, you can also copy golden minions, so its pretty easy to go for a full golden matador or sth

I think it was 1 gold to deal 4 damage to two random enemy minions on next combat start, dog says it at ~1:15 but it's kinda hard to pick up out of context@@Flatueren

i swapped the 7 cost naga 1 week ago, i didint have a chat that saved me lol, i wonder if the period of time where the spell was disabled was because of that interaction and they added on the naga "cant be copied"

Sea Witch has never been able to copy itself, in Anomaly meta if you rolled into two Sea Witches you could theoretically just copy them infinitely if there wasn't a "different minions only" rule

Isn’t playing Rag like playing without hero power? Im pretty low (7100) so maybe im just bad, but I never pick him (except for armor to get good quests).
I feel like when you get the power it’s already irrelevant.

High armor heros get easier quests, so in this case he just wants to get a good quest and pretend HP doesn't exist

Yeah and that’s the reason why sometimes I pick him (I only have 2 heroes). But quests were re-added not so long ago, so even a month ago he was still there. And i’ve always wondered why they don’t just change his HP. Feels like the most useless to me.

Don’t sell yourself short, I don’t know the exact stats but I’m fairly certain that 7k+ mmr is in the top 10% of players. I peaked at 8.2k during the last buddies meta and haven’t been able to crack 8k since. Right now I’m like hard stuck 6.5k. So imo you’re a pretty good player, for what it’s worth

@@Insomniay0eh. Depends. I’m hardstuck 6k with sometimes going to 7 or 7.5 but usually will concede if I don’t like quest options or heroes (only 2 options) etc.
Depending on time of day I will meet people who play extremely efficient with no room for goofying around or the worst dogshite of trolls, where all 3 of the top 4 have like 50/50s in turn 13.. I mean, they understand the game but never adjust their board to yours. The amount of “one unit Andy” working without getting poisoned for 3 turns in a row by “let me play my mechs” is higher than you’d think
