always out of stock... price isn't better than some of the better online dealers (not the well well known ones) . They charge tax... so I don't see me ever buying from them.

Nope. Profit margins are too slim on metals. There will be a majority who will always pay some sort of premium to lcs.

If the big players go after the coin market, they'll crush the LCS's. But that will take a long time to happen.

Coin shops want to give you spot or less to buy. And charge 20-50% premiums when selling. Sorry but if you can’t get better as a coin shop you don’t deserve to stay in business. You were happy to charge insane premiums when you could. You were happy to give nothing when people sold. You didn’t foster loyal customers.

Coin shops need to adapt to survive. I hope they do.

100% agree. Especially when spot hits record highs and they still want a high premium on top of it. If you can get 1oz gold for under 2000 dollars each from a bullion distributor when "spot price" is 2050 and they still make a profit, and they wanna charge a consumer 2150+ that's robbery.

My LCS only offers 90% of spot. 🤣
Yeah… no thanks. I sell online.

@@RenegadeBastard On junk silver and generic rounds, that's a fair deal. Shops have a lot of overhead. They pay school taxes. They're not all bad.

no since they cap what you can buy and limit to 1 transaction per member.

I don't know what Costco's deal is. I buy gold via Bullion Vault, with a 4% commission.

I need a Costco alert. By the time I hear they have gold for sale, it's already sold out. I save up $ in my checking account until I have $1K to spare, then buy at the spot rate via Bullion Vault. They charge a reasonable amount to store it for me,
