Just wanted to say, thanks for bringing me so many laughs. Watching you squirm at the ruder jokes makes my day. It feels like watching comedy with distant family and I hope your new year is equal to all the joy you're brought to all of us. And that's to all 3 of you :)
It's weird how Americans always think skits are trying to make a point about something in the punchline and then they analyse its merit on that basis as if Mitchell and Webb actually made that skit, not because the idea was funny because absurd, but because they actually want to see more characters in films going to the toilet because people do in real life.
Michael Flatley (riverdance) has done the same thing. The self finaced"Blackbird" is apparently even worse than "The Room". Flatlet financed, wrote the script, directed and starred.
It's true no one goes to the loo on a spaceship , or in any Hollywood films unless a baddie used it and it ends up getting shot to pieces . David is just right for the film director in this one .
I really hope you watch the Mitchell and Webb sketch entitled Vectron . I promise you, Nick at least will like it. But also, please, please, please watch their sketch, Couple Arguing - That Mitchell and Webb Look, which also has Olivia Coleman in it. I am sure you will both enjoy that, thank you.
A couple of Z-grade science fiction movies from the 1950s - "Plan 9 from Outer Space" and "Robot Monster" have equally cult status. They're so very bad they raise the idea of awful movies to an art form.
Olivia Colman played a very forgetful mum in the comedy series Green wing. Not something you could react to but try catch the first episode in your free time
Just want to correct you on one thing. The horrible movie you're talking about is called "the Room". I'm saying that because there is actually another quite decent movie just called "Room" with Brie Larson.
If you want to know what the Death Star canteen was like, Eddie Izzard has filmed a very believable scene of it.
Beat me to it, it's a definite follow on from this
Edwardian Kylie 😂. As i recall, the first group of babies name Kylie in the UK came in the 1980s as a result of Kylie Minogue.

Did the Death Star have a canteen?
Mitchell & Webb, “Now We Know”. To continue the theme of film making.

"Old Holmes" - their last That Mitchell and Webb Look sketch.
...But yeah, to this video, I *love* the way Coleman delivers the "...aliens" line. So good.
The Room is Great you have to see it.

Please watch The Room together, bond more through the trauma
The Room is indeed an awful film, I seem to recall people speculated it was made to launder some money but who knows. It is so bad it's funny though
I like the stand-in MAGA hat.
