The competition is higher now because there are more than top four teams in the league. We talk about top 6, top 8 now. And atimes it's difficult to predict games these days. Man City recruit and breed high IQ players that also have the best stress management on the field. You will rarely see them take unnecessary Victor Nsofor shots or miss like Yakubu. These players are football addicts.

The quality of the opposition has dropped.. I agree Pep is miles ahead, but the likes of man utd, Arsenal(before the last 3yrs), Chelsea, and co have dropped quality due to a lot of things and I hing it on players commitment and football administration.

I watched games between United and Arsenal, and you'd see Roy Keane and Patrick Viera, you'd see the vigour, passion and all, now someone is comfortable with being on the bench and earning 100k pounds per week..
And on the matter of top players coming to average premiership clubs is just down to money.. Sheffield pays more than Getafe, Villarreal, Bilbao, Valencia, etc..
Also, a Luton can give United a fight because they're more hungry.. the supposed top sides have depreciated so bad and it's down to players commitment encouraged by exorbitant signing fee and salaries.. The quality in passion was more then, Pep is doing way better because He's good and importantly will NEVER let any player who's not hungry to stay in his team.

When transfer fees changed and high, players get overpaid, players play for money and pride ex (paul pogba), it brings lack of quality and inconsistent players on the pitch, the dressing room and player power, most club value money and don't care about the team and the fans.. alot of bad managers with good players and lots of good managers with wrong players for the team with poor transfer business e.g (Erik tenhag and man united, Chelsea is even worst) , managers make tactical mistakes based on inexperience e.g ( mikel arteta ) so many factors are reasons why man city are dominating will continue to.
