Thank you for sharing the solution. I had to RMA mine because I narrowed it down to happening at high frame rates. Got a second one and same issue. Thing is that without FreeSync the tearing is just unbearable so you'd have to choose the lesser evil. The trade-off is unacceptable and wouldn't have made the purchase have I known it would be such a noticeable quirk.
I don't think it's possible. You can also reduce the effect by reducing the refresh rate of the panel, but I don't think most people would make that sacrifice. I don't use free sync so this change doesn't really affect me.
Hi brother! I don't have such a problem! But for me the big minus is the coating of the screen, the coating is semi-matte, not matte, in the light it reflects the screen and I see myself in dark scenes, I have to play only in the dark. I’m not happy with this( maybe I'll buy a Samsung odyssey g5 va
Odyssey isn't any better. It's a matte display but the curved screen throws off light reflections in a weird way. Plus contrast ratio doesn't even come close to the AOC. It used a VA panel with slightly lesser native contrast ratio and also doesn't even have sort of local dimming at all. Even the G6 has edge lit backlight zones and thst's not even that good to begin with
@@prestonfernandes2071 Hello! I bought an odyssey g5 va, there is no good coverage, but the ghosting is very strong ((there is practically none on AOC! I will return the odyssey g5((I would like to take the odyssey g6, but many people write that there are defects and scanlines and the screen flickers with g sync( on AOC and Odyssey g5 did not notice this
The G6 is essentially a cheaper version of the last gen G7. It's a bit more cheaper than that G7 but now the only major difference being that they added Samsung TV OS as an additional feature. Even though it's technically an upgrade as they added more backlight zones (edge-lit) it somehow has a worser contrast ratio than the G7. There have been reviews on this too and it's very noticable that the G7 is darker than the G6. But the G7 also had some scan line and flickering issues and I think it might transferred to the G6 as well
@@prestonfernandes2071 After updating the firmware on the g6, I didn’t notice any flickering! Nice fast va matrix! but g sync does not work correctly on nvidia cards, although it worked perfectly on the odyssey g5! I'll have to return the monitor. very bad (
Thank you for sharing the solution, these lines drove me crazy.

Hi, finally - someone who shows the problem.
What triggers the scanlines exactly?
I think it is the LCD being overdriven by the driver, resulting in maybe some sort of ripple in the image signal to the LCD panel itself
But on my monitor Low Input Lag is greyed out when Freesync is enabled, so how to disable Low Input lag with Freesync On ?
