Kill is one of the few in the world right now that can physically do what he does. People forget that hitting music with multiple near-impossible power combos and transitions isn't easy. Just because Kill is in the air doesn't mean that he has no flavor!

This reminds of when Pocket won against Menno in Red Bull Bc One 2015. I seem to remember quite a positive reaction to that. People were saying that Power Moves of a high enough difficulty could beat style. The way I see it is that Kill does moves nobody else in the world can do, or at least not as clean. But Ayumi, although the more complete dancer, can do nothing that other skilled boys or bgirls can't do. And besides, Kill did hit beats and he did include some other elements of bboying in his sets. Certainly more than Pocket did in 2015. Having said that, it could have gone either way. It just comes down to preference.

It’s not really about footwork vs power tbh. A battle is about replying to your opponent in your own way to say “I can do what you did, but my do it my way” and Ayumi did that better than kill in this battle so I’d say ayumi won, but then again I wasn’t a judge so oh well

Ayumi reply better really? Did you see her reply with an air flare? I don't think so. Answer with I can do it too but my but better my ass. Look Kill perform a bit of styles and footwork into his sets. Just not as much as Ayumi did. Ayumi incorporate a bit of power I guess you can call that, two barrel windmills and wind mills variant. Just no not as much as Kill did. She also lack dynamics. Also her footwork and foundation isn't all that mind blowing either. Maybe if it was the best damn style and footwork I seen then yeah.

What you don't seem to understand and accept is that Kill dances with his power. He does it on beat. He incorporate it in a stylish fashion way and add just a touch of foundation to it. That in its own way is styles. His "STYLES."
Straight power would Pocket or Lil G going acapella on everyone.
They both did great. I would just like to underline that Kill was more aggressive in each round, he put in a lil extra sauce IN his amazing power moves where as Ayumi did not make much use of the space and which made her rounds come off (although very clean and original)a little reserved. This could be even more striking to judges that are sitting and staring at a live show compared to us watching through a moving camera but anyways fuck it! Guys we got to watch a high level mixed one on one battle this year! Thanks RedBull!

I can see why kill won he did better at what he does in this round than ayumi did at what she does, she had more crashes and slips even if she used more footwork which is why you guys are saying she won. although i think kill used too much of his arsenal on her .

I kind of agree with you but remember that crazylegs is an OG in the game. I was watching this 7 to smoke battle where Crazylegs and Mr Wiggles were judging along with others but it was seriously fascinating, that both of them without turning to each other would immediately point out the winner of each battle. Theyve been in the game for years, they see something that we don't, and they pick the winner very wisely. Theyre real judged in my eyes after I saw that

Honestly these rounds from kill were my favorite from him today. But I can see why AT would lean towards Ayumi. Ayumi won in top work, footwork, floor work, and freezes, while Kill won in power moves and beat kills with power moves. This was a close one for sure, I would have had trouble deciding because both of them crashed, kill crashing in his last set, Ayumi making small mistakes in her 2nd set. Overall content wise, I feel like they both responded with the arsenal they had and it was one of the few engaging battles. An example is 2nd round and 3rd round where we see kill respond by touching his toes while doing power in response to Ayumi freezing and touching her toes. We then see Ayumi respond with her own power , keeping her arm locked on her toe. In terms of execution I feel like kill used a lot of moves that I have not seen him use before. I feel like depending on the judge it could go either way, and just being able to be that close to beating kills power with strong foundation and originality says alot

Big respect to bgirl Ayumi. It's incredible (for now, maybe it'll be nothing after years, who knows?) for a bgirl to rock on the bc1 world final floor. Also congrats to kill winning the battle. I feel like a battle of 2 very different bboy/bgirls with different styles and moves, it depends more on the Judges, so I'll just respect them.

At first i thought that kill wouldnt make it through the first round then i realized that pocket already proved that powermoves can also beat style... but i give props to ayumi though nice footwork, musicality
If Ayumi went first instead of kill she would've won imo. He was able to come out with full power very first round which she couldn't match up to, which meant he basically won round 1 and she had to play catchup for the rest of the set. I would've personally put Ayumi as the winner, but it was a close match shown by the 2-3 split from judges

I like kill, hes one of my favourites but i just dont like how flashy moves wins battle the majority of the time. Yes all those moves were very high level but style just isn't a thing any more, power is the new style.

There are bboys who have super strong power moves and tricks that can take almost everyone out at round 1 and then they rarely go past round 2 as they appear repetitive and run out of ammo . See how Pocket beat Menno in 2015 on Round 1. Kill is one of those. Despite lacking style and foundations he executed perfectly his moves, solid transitions between levels and from footwork to power, proper battle attitude also scoring points with that first freeze at the beat pointing at the opponent . Ayumi has a dope style and is a pleasure to watch. Scoring points on style and fundamentals , lacking in power, difficulty and dynamics but showed she can do some of those. Hence in situations like this the judges there are to decide which has more value for them. If they went against each other on Round 2 hands down Ayumi would have taken it.
Mmm I thought I knew Crazy Legs. From what I know, he's a lover of dancing, floor work, freezing -- the whole package -- so I can't seem to understand why he chose Kill in this battle. I saw a more rounded performance from Ayumi. Kill flexed his power -- cool, but his uprock/dancing lacked and wasn't as clean as Ayumi. Ayumi was a better bboy/bgirl, with more flavor, in my opinion.

Kill' s moves were definitely more difficult but Ayumi was more smooth and complete from beginning to the end.
I'd actually give it to Ayumi more diverse. Props to Kill for the win though.

Jahan Maryam, Nothing in my comment said anything about her gender. I clearly said she was more "diverse" which means she can do power and footwork together. Plus she was cleaner than kill this battle.
Diverse but her moves are things most good bboys can do. Kill may be less versatile but you'll have a hard time finding guys who can do his move plus kill does hit the beat a few times.
Thats why I think Kill wins. Anyway, thats just what I think. Peace!

This is Ayumi's win. Power Moves can win against foot work but will never be a champion if you only rely on power. Ayumi never repeat moves but danced simple. Kill do not have top and floor and showed only power how come he won? DAMN THIS YEAR OF BC ONE IS WORST!

I think Ayumi was more well-rounded, but I can also see why Kill won. If she can improve on using more of the stage and have a bit more aggressive battle tactic she can definitely move into the later rounds. #respect

Ayumi should’ve won in my opinion she had more variety in her moves. Kill was mostly doing power moves but he was still good but he should’ve involved more footwork as well.
I love Kill, but daym Ayumi killed it...
Ayumi is one of my fav breakers but Kill definitely took this tbh. like I think she could have taken it if she was at 100%, but she wasn't- Kill showed clean power, Ayumi was on the sloppy side and didn't show enough musicality and flava to make up the difference.
I really don't think it's a style vs power thing, One breaker just brought out clean, solid sets.
