The Amtac Blades Northman Pocket Fixed Blade Knife is a tactical, EDC fixed blade that is more than ready for the woods with its ferro-rod toting pocket sheath, 90 degree spine for throwing sparks, and very utilitarian blade shape. This knife is the brain child of Bill Rapier a former SEAL and operator with DEVGRU and exhibits the spirit of a multi-use tool that saves on weight and overall profile. This knife was a gift from my Dad who has been reading Jack Carr and digging his descriptions of the gear that his main character, James Reese, uses. It also comes with an aluminum trainer and storage sheath for the live blade when the trainer is in use.
In short, I love this thing!

did you take a look at what offensive industries has to offer?
very versatile fixed blade knives in reasonable steel (nitro v), that come with really good pocket kydex for a reasonable price.
Id love to have it with a different sheath. I carry iwb and the sheath is a deal breaker. Also id like to see the ferro rod replaced with a ceramic
Hey just wanted to let u know when u order it u can choose the belt sheath instead of a pocket sheat (i ordered both) the belt sheath is super well made. Ud love it

Hey bud, I'm really interested in buying this knife...in your video the handle doesn't look to small to grip comfortably but as I was reading the specs on amtacs website I realized it's real size...I wear a large in millwakiee work gloves. I guess my question is is t comfortable in your hands or would you suggest the northmanx?
Check out the minute man it has a bigger handle and a bit bigger of a blade also but still can also still get the pocket sheath

Hey Knife Junkie. Can you verify if amtac blades is made in the USA? Ive seen a lot of people asking them on their social media outlets and no responses. It comes off as it is being made state side but never a confirmation.
I do not know, it doesn't say on the blade but I will dig out the box to see if it's written there.

If you find another one laying around or the company wants to donate to a disabled guy(j/k) I wouldn’t turn it down. I actually do have severe pain and nerve damage so a fixed blade works better and I’ve been looking for one. This one is a bit too out of reach but maybe later on. Love this knife. Do you have some great more affordable options to recommend. Great knife man. Dad did well. Miss mine. He loved firearms and knives along with outdoor gear
