So nice of you to give tips and ideas like you do! Thank you so much, I took good notes!!! ...so eager to go...soon! (in September, October...of course!! ;) helene, Quebec, Canada
Nice to see you having a good time! I've been to Venice twice, both times we were staying at Lido di Jesolo and took the bus in. LdJ is a lovely resort so I'd definitely recommend combining Venice with a beach holiday. I don't remember much about what we did in Venice, it was mainly just enjoying the unique environment, though on one visit we took a boat trip, which is a good way (the only way!) of seeing the other parts of the area. For some reason I do remember having an excellent calzone from a restaurant not too far from St Mark's Square - you don't have to go too far from the main sights to find good places that aren't *too* touristy/expensive. bw
Hi Barb, my wife and I will be traveling to Bologna, but we'll be coming close to Venice and it is tempting to stop on our way. Do you think it would be worth it to try to get into Venice for just a few hours or do you think it wouldn't be worth the trouble for such a short amount of time?
Hi friend! Of course you can stop by but you will probably feel that you want to stay and it won’t be enough:) if you are coming in summer I would say don’t do it, there are way too many people now. If you come in October, come!:) but don’t forget to registrate!
