Can the Vevor DZ-260 Chamber Vacuum Sealer at 400ish bucks really compete with the VacMaster P230 priced at 1100 dollars? I have to say except for a few nit picks, YES!
Got mine for $315 and its fantastic, it works and is more quiet than the expensive ones
Think about it, the insert really does not reduce the amount of air, it is hollow with holes. The vacmaster has solid inserts that do reduce the air. My vevor comes this week and I am going to get a couple cheap cutting boards to use in the chamber. Thanks for the video!
I get what you are trying to say, but anything that has mass reduces volume.

Just got the exact same machine and after some searching I discovered this machine doesn't have "Dual"seal even though it says on the panel. I'm guessing a lot of the parts in this machines are used on various models including the control panel so the "dual seal" function applies to some other unit that has dual heat strips which this machine does not.
It does the seal is simply wider. Not like in two separate places.
@@survivalpodcasting If I choose dual seal on mine it just runs through the process twice( from vacuum to cool down with no width difference in seal).

What size do u think can do a whole cooked brisket
You are not going to do something that large in a chamber vac without going into a very expensive commercial machine, I am talking something that doesn't move or is on wheels and in the 5K or up range.
For long things like a brisket it is better to use an old school vac sealer as they can do any length. Or cut the meat to size to fit in something like this.
There is a hack to use vac sealer style bags outside the machine with a chamber vac, sadly that is one downside to this one. Since the seal bar is in the back the hack won't work. Here is the hack th-cam.com/video/xS2jFbx67-k/w-d-xo.html IT SHOULD WORK with any chamber vac with a long enough bar and sealing in front which most have.
Vevor does have this one with a front seal but the bar is only 10 inches so that will limit width of the bag. s.vevor.com/bfQ9a9

Yes for DRY GOODS like herbs, beans, etc.
If you spend the $900 on vevors bigger double seal model you can fit quart jars standing up!
Will it seal Mylar bags?
I have not tried it but have seen others review the same model and do that yes.
Can you do 7mil mylar bags?
IDK but I have my doubts I don't think mylar goes with chamber vac machines but I have never even considered it. I will have to look into it.
