we troll the rig behind our pontoon sometimes and usually always catch something....crappie, bass, even a catfish one time....I dont like to cast them as they are so heavy....loved the drone shots....thanks for sharing...you made a good point about checking whats legal...since moving up from Georgia to Tennessee I have not checked if they are even legal in Tn....will do now..thanks for the reminder....Bill Jones
fish off shore sometime like over a reef for kings or cobia. Not sure if you have any of that but I'd be a nice change up of things to fish some deep water
Antonio Sannicandro Yea it's generally a little dicey for smaller boats during winter at the inlets. I went out of Boynton on sunday, and if I hadn't been in a 28 ft or similarly sized boat I doubt I would be making this post. 8 foot rollers at the mouth.
+Ev Crunden I will definitely do that in the summer. I've caught small ones on frogs before and have had a monster snook blow a frog out of the water before
nice show Lawson! the aerial shots were great and so was the music selection, thanks. Interesting bait-- I too thought you hook-up at least two JCs on that A-rig. Looking frwd to viewing your next show. Blessings,
You should come up and catch coosa river spotted bass(AL) on those in the winter and spring. It is a blast to do. be glad to guide you if you ever come up.
Just some helpful tips for you....the A rig works great when u run it correctly in south Florida for snook....your bottom jigs should have heavier heads...3/8 is what I use for the bottom 2 heads then go lighter for the middle to top end to get the separation like in a natural school...also use blades/spoons on the umbrella lines.... and a smaller in size umbrella set than what u would think would work does better....the size u were throwing dosent really work for anything....it's too wide, gets tangled up and doesn't imitate a natural school of prey fish....lastly put different sized swim baits on with a mullet pattern....five hooks is the max u can run in south Florida btw.
The drone footage looked awesome!!! Cool video, hope you get a chance to throw the Alabama rig at some jacks. I'd love to see you pull it out of the water with Jacks hooked on each lure.
Lawson we throw single keitechs all the time on jigs here in upstate NY for every single species. My guess is you will do close to as well throwing single keitech swimmers in assorted colors my favorite are black and male perch.
We will throw all the way down to 1/16 oz heads so you can present a slower “cruise” for the keitech style baits...our water is very clear also....see 25 to 30 ft below sometimes
hey lawson i know u like throwing the swimbaits i fish inshore on the west coast for calicos i think u should try some big 9 inch sledge hammers from big hammer there awesome baits
Wow, what a beautiful production that video was Lawson!!! Nicely done buddy! If I may, I'd like to help you out with some feedback on the use of the Alabama Rig. They come in a lot of varieties and are used in a lot of ways. One of the best ways I've used them is to have four smaller 3" baits all of the same color (i.e. a common forage fish size color and size, like Pilcher or White fish for instance) on the outside with a larger center bait (say around 5" shad type bait to keep the weight down) having the only hook and having a contrasting, and different color like a Mullet or River Runner might for example. You're mimicking a bait ball of fish moving thru an area with a single predatory fish in hot pursuit! I rarely use more than one hook, it can be a nightmare untangling a mass of fish with hooks stuck every which way and fish thrashing about as you're trying to unhook them! My favorite rig is a 3 fish rig with 2 outside and 1 inside.
Slam shady on the a rig is a game changer. Best thing is to mimic the bait fish in the area. I use mine in spillways. You're using the wrong one, for best results you need the vibration from the spinners. When it comes to that rig, it's a game changer if you learn to work it right
Hey Lawson was wondering what a rig that was? Also I had the same thought for saltwater fishing by me for striped bass in the fall. We troll umbrella rigs (large a rigs) and every bait has hooks on so I think it's different for salt water. Also I'll be in west palm beach for Easter!!! I'm doing some lmb fishing and maybe some saltwater fishing what should I throw?
someone may have mentioned this but you had it set up wrong. the perimeter arms must be perpendicular (90 degree) from the central wire or line tie. simply put your baits where too close together. it is also a good idea to have the trail bait a different color or size from the perimeter baits for the fish to key in on
Try one with blades like the flash mob. But they also tend to do better in windy conditions when there is a good amount of chop on the water. Nicely done though man!
Lawson I love your videos man! I've been wanting to get into fishing baitcasters... but what am I limited to? Could I throw 1/8 oz lures or live bait with something like that CT 201B? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Hello Lawson, I love your videos!! I couldn't help but notice you switched your E6X for a Lew's inshore. is there a reason for that? and i was going to switch my inshore for a E6X any tips or preferences ?
Hey Lawson, I have a question and I'm also doing a school report on this. When fishing dark color water for bass do you use dark or light color baits? I can't ever decide witch one works better. I hope you respond, Thanks
On the Alabama rig tie about 2 and a half foot of 80 pound fishing line to the middle of the rig and put the lure on the end of that and you will catch snook ever time
Hey Lawson, you probably won't respond but what are good baits for snook inshore during day and night? We know a spot where there are hundreds but can't even get a bite with artificial. Do we need a flouro leader or live bait? Or what are good artificials?
As Lawson said, definitely throw on some flouro. Snook have pretty good eyesight. In addition, if you do use live bait, be sure to use a good sized circle hook of at least 4/0 size so you don't gut hook a fish. Be patient and you'll get one eventually.
Can you get some livetarget pinfish swimbaits and try them out because I don't know if I should get them, I own two livetarget swimbaits mullets and they sure have been getting work done lately so yea I'm sure the pinfish should be fine because the mullets r good.
Alex Sigala i have the pinfish and its worked great for me theres different sizes but they all look so realistic and snooks love them on docks and bridges and redfish the smaller one
I don't fish for redfish but on the mullet I've had so many hard thumps on bridges with it. Definitely looking forward to get the pinfish and pilchard bait but I'm probably going to get the shiner one before them for freshwater snook and tarpon
hey whats up ,,always lu ur videos ...they make me wanna move to the coast!!! planning a trip to Miami area sometime this year, wana take me and my wife fishing when we get there?? Ill pay for everything!!!
Great video!! Really like these videos about using bass lures for inshore fishing! Keep 'em comming!! I do the same thing all the time!
I love the bass lures for saltwater. It's so cool and interesting to see
Love that you release man, I am all for eating some good fish but respect for the water is always number one
Lawson is a stud.
awesome video, I love it when a snook just bites down on your finger and won't let go!
Your videos are truly amazing. Love watching the old and new ones.
lmao okay bud
@@cyter2979 I commented this 4 years ago. You’ve really got nothin better to do… Go get yourself a life of your own.

Yeah that would be sick if he fished some near shore reefs and wrecks.
Noah Hokansson the thing is he doesn't have a bay boat so he'll have to do that on a really calm day
Agree!

RikkiTikkiTavi yeah
Reall love these videos man! Keep doing bass tactics in saltwater, it's so entertaining. You should try frog fishing for snook
+Ev Crunden I will definitely do that in the summer. I've caught small ones on frogs before and have had a monster snook blow a frog out of the water before
Fishing With Lawson Lindsey go for tuna
Thanks for the insights. Great for doing this video.
I love the new edits of the boat running
nice show Lawson! the aerial shots were great and so was the music selection, thanks. Interesting bait-- I too thought you hook-up at least two JCs on that A-rig. Looking frwd to viewing your next show. Blessings,
Bro your getting your editing down and stuff decent now awesome shots ur doing your thing
Do a boat tour and lure arsenal
I dig the creativity! Experimenting with techniques is always a good time..when it works out lol
your vids are already dope but I've noticed them getting better
You should come up and catch coosa river spotted bass(AL) on those in the winter and spring. It is a blast to do. be glad to guide you if you ever come up.
I’ve bought an Alabama rig and trout and redfish love it on the coast of Alabama
Cool video, do you think you could have better results with smaller baits?
crazy how fast this channel has grown
The drone footage looked awesome!!! Cool video, hope you get a chance to throw the Alabama rig at some jacks. I'd love to see you pull it out of the water with Jacks hooked on each lure.
Harry Rannels I've caught 2 Jack at the same time on a gotcha lure
Lawson went fishing with AP and decided he needed to step his edit game up 😂. I'm liking it.
Lawson we throw single keitechs all the time on jigs here in upstate NY for every single species. My guess is you will do close to as well throwing single keitech swimmers in assorted colors my favorite are black and male perch.
Lawson that was a nice snook at the bridge. You could probably use the a rig as a sabeki rig too for bait. Keep it up man👍
man you have to go for the double or triple up jacks on the A rig that would be an insane video
Awesome!! Been waiting for an A rig video
We will throw all the way down to 1/16 oz heads so you can present a slower “cruise” for the keitech style baits...our water is very clear also....see 25 to 30 ft below sometimes
Lawson, please do a frog vid, it would be awesome to see some saltwater species get jacked with a frog
hey lawson i know u like throwing the swimbaits i fish inshore on the west coast for calicos i think u should try some big 9 inch sledge hammers from big hammer there awesome baits

I've caught tarpon on my a rig. Got videos and pictures to prove it. Also videos on TH-cam

Been doing really well with an under spin on trout, they crush it like its their last meal.

Loving the elevator music man. Makes the video so chill lol.
I have a brother in law down in Tampa about to have a baby and his dream is a giant snook. Would you take him out one day soon?
The Alabama rig is just a smaller version of a parachute rig Wich is commonly used for saltwater stripers.
Hah the wind, "FLAIRED" up 😂😂😂
great video with the drone. you should leave it up while you're casting, maybe you'll hook up. that would be cool to see
naw mon , simplify , light tackle inshore ,not commercial trolling looking hardware heavy A rig . Enjoy your videos though . You the man .
Why did u change ur pole on your Calcutta 200? Because I'm looking to get a Calcutta and I want to know what pole to get.
Lawson what happened to your bait caster g lomis rod. I see your using a less rod
I'm a master with my a rig. Never lost one to the bottom yet. Catch a ton of fish with them
Finally you got a drone, awesome !!! #djimavic jajaj
Jon b with the dope beat rools
Lawson take a subscriber fishing with you!! 🐟 🎣. Keep up the great videos! Love the b-roll
Lawson what happened to your g loomis ( the one on the small Calacutta)
Alabama rigs work great on the saltwater bass out here in socal
What ate what at 3:31-3:33 to the right of the boat? Looks like something ate a piece of bread or something
On the Alabama rig tie about 2 and a half foot of 80 pound fishing line to the middle of the rig and put the lure on the end of that and you will catch snook ever time
Likes video before watching video
Can u say that u recommen the rig for snook? Or u more likely use live or cut bait?
Anyone else watching this in 2021 thinking he should do this again
thx for the tips
You can see a stingray at 3:32 from the drone pretty dope it's hard to see though.
Can't believe that actually worked
how much would it cost to go fishing with you for a day if it was 4 people
Ayer love the vids
Lawson like all you videos n one day like a Saturday o Sunday i would like to go fishing with you
Groovy.
3:27 i never knew boats could fly that high!

Hey Lawson, you probably won't respond but what are good baits for snook inshore during day and night? We know a spot where there are hundreds but can't even get a bite with artificial. Do we need a flouro leader or live bait? Or what are good artificials?
+FishingFools definitely put on some fluoro carbon. Try throwing a mirrodine or a small swimbait
Fishing With Lawson Lindsey okay thank you!
As Lawson said, definitely throw on some flouro. Snook have pretty good eyesight. In addition, if you do use live bait, be sure to use a good sized circle hook of at least 4/0 size so you don't gut hook a fish. Be patient and you'll get one eventually.

LT Pinfish murks. Have one or two in your bag for sure.
middle bait suppose too be a dirrent color so you know what colors to use
Is that a 16 or 18 hewes? Love those boats
i saw you at gander for bass stuff at 2/7/2017 im a sub forgot to say that love your vids and big fan
hey whats up ,,always lu ur videos ...they make me wanna move to the coast!!! planning a trip to Miami area sometime this year, wana take me and my wife fishing when we get there?? Ill pay for everything!!!
what baits would u recommend for inshore grouper right now?(cut bait)
tactical bassin the pins are candy if u can find them the are on existent
Hey have you ever tried down south lures?
Is that first bridge the one by the Jupiter light house.
The blue heron bridge produces big snook despite the traffic and people swimming by it. I pulled 2 40s off it this summer
Are you in the great pocket area of hobe sound? I'm in jb
Why haven,t you been using the g loom is on the 201 instead of the lews
+sea_skipper because I was using it to fish bridges and the g.loomis wasn't strong enough
