Great video! My fave doll is Ariel, but my fave outfit would be Tiana's extra outfit the tweed outfit. It's so pretty! I will hopefully be picking that up at some point.
I am an absolute Disney sucker! These outfit sets are so well done and I just love that it includes the little animal friends. It's such a nice addition for both play and collect. I cannot go crazier for the outfit changes! I cannot wait to see how you retheme your collection because the nostalgia just hits the spot! If they also did a Small World line, it would be perfection! Ariel is also my favorite Princess and I was so happy to add the Volks version to my collection. Volks could learn a lot from AG!

I have to thank you and credit you for inspiring me to get into collecting American Girl. I loved the catalogs as a child, but we couldn't afford them. I got my first AG doll second hand last year. Then, just last month, I went to my local American Girl store and bought my first ever brand new doll: Rebecca. And now I'm kind of obsessed. As dolls, the AGs leave me cold, as I just can't get past the soft body and hard limbs, but I do enjoy watching you talk about dolls so I'll be here to the bitter end of the video! I said on another TH-camr doll person's video that it doesn't matter to me what kind of dolls are mentioned, I just love to look at and hear about dolls of all sorts, regardless of whether I collect that type or not. This approach has led me badly astray in the past, but I'm happy with that! 🥰😍 So thank you!
In the 17” Disney doll line people call the peasant dresses “rags”, Disney labeled these “day dresses”, and my favorite Ariel dress (the blue one) people call that her “town dress” but her Disney just calls that “day dress” too. Who knows really, I like Peasant and Princess, reminds me of Prince and Pauper but the female version. Thank you for sharing your treasures! I don’t have a store but I ordered online and my Ariel and all the outfits are arriving today 🥰

Snow White, Moana, Mulan, Pocahontas, Aurora, Anna and Elsa, they have sooooo much material to work with and I can't wait to see what they do with it 😍
So interesting to see the details about this line! I'm glad you had fun with it. I'm very nostalgic for AG, but something you said in the video is why I only buy the vintage AG dolls and fashions nowadays: quality. From fabrics to face painting to historical accuracy (and emphasis on history in general- I work in museums now, and a huge part of that interest was reading/playing with AG stuff as a kid), I feel like the brand is just no longer worth the price point.

Those rewards are always so good to put towards outfits and accessories. They're also a great excuse for me to visit the store - oh I need to go by American girl I have a reward that expires this month 😂
I got Ariel and her collection. She is just stunning. I love her! I plan to get all the Disney dolls from AG. I won’t get a play line Belle or Rapunzel since I have the LE dolls.
The face molds: Ariel has the Nanea face mold. Tiana has the Claudie face mold. Cinderella has the Josefina face mold. Tiana is also from the 1920’s. Her work dress would also work well for Claudie! Cinderella’s work dress reminds me of Gretal from “Hansel and Gretal”. More adventures! I have also heard that the Disney Princess play dolls are not limited edition (will be around for awhile) and will be expanded. Elsa and Anna from Frozen may be released later this year! I am happy to hear that these are high quality play dolls with high quality extra outfits!

I don't collect Disney dolls and barely have any AGs but I am kind of obsessed with Tiana and her casual outfit. The doll is really cute but I feel like Tiana has darker skin than that, but maybe I'm nitpicking since Ariel and Cinderella's hair colors aren't exactly spot on either.
Ariel is my favorite out of them , in hence saying this I can understand why Mattel is selling American girl, as they are all mass produced in China so many are being sent to the stores with defects and Mattel are loosing money not good ,its a shame the dolls can not be manufactured in Germany as originally when they were owned by Pleasant company the standard was high ,now the standard does not live up to its name you can get good quality dolls for less, its time American Girl doll stepped up its game , as it does not live up to the standards of the past you should be able to order online and not worry about getting a good doll food for thought .

I don’t think I could chose a favorite. It would not be possible. I do think Cinderellas peasant dress could have been a lot cuter and better quality.
