My family and I are moving back to oahu from Texas. Summer of 2025. We have 2 cars. Mines an 07 cadillac runs fine but has high milage and a rebuilt title. Currently worth tops $1,500. You think it's worth taking or no.
Looks like this channel might be abandoned (happens alot), but if anyone reads this, my advice (former Hawaii resident 26 years)?
#1: Do a TON of research first....even if it takes several years, INCLUDING understanding the culture there. So do not relocate on a "whim." This might include visiting two or even three times first (and NOT as a "tourist") before taking the big "plunge". Costly, yes. But totally worth it in the LONG run!
#2: Do NOT move there, unless you can afford to be COMFORTABLE. And with this inflation now, this is absolutely critical. Otherwise, and I can almost guarantee, you will be miserable, and in a year, you'll be on that plane mainland bound. That's it! Anyhoos, good luck.
