Thinking about getting these subs. I can’t find any reviews on any of the other two subs, the 15 inch and the 18 inch. I am wondering if they are worth it. What would you recommend. I am looking for something powerful but compact. Is the 15 inch worth it?
I only have experience with the 12, but I’ve spoken to the. guys at yorkville about the 15 and 18, its really about the top speakers you're pairing it with. The ps12s is really a little small to go with 12p's but I also only use one. So... what tops do you have and do you want a single sub or a set?
Hey, nice vid, its hard to find anything to compare to zxa1 sub which i have also. Im kinda debating between this Yorkville and the new QSC KS112 sub and selling my ZXA1. Do you have an opinion on how Yorkville would compare against QSC? I do have QSC k10 tops also.. basically I just want a better sounding sub than ZXA1 sub without going 18" as portability is important for me and most of my gigs are less than 100 people. Thanks!
I would say you get more bang for your buck with the QSC unless you find a yorkville used. Both subs will sound much better than the zxa but the qsc sound will drop off much faster than the yorkville due to the woofers construction, which probably isn’t an issue with the gigs your doing, qsc is probably good for you. Feel free to lmk if you have other questions
I bought this exact bass bin for my band. We only run the kick drum through it. We have the kick mic running into a 800 watt power board, then into the bass bin and it does not kick out alot bass. What are we doing wrong?
It's probably the sub not you, this sub is not very well suited to boost a kick, kick drums generally fall between 30-50Hz on the frequency spectrum and this subs response only goes down to 45Hz. I obviously can't hear what you hear but owning this sub myself I can tell you I would never use it to reinforce a kick, personally I wouldn't use anything smaller than an 18 inch for that, but what is more important is looking at frequency response and continuous output metrics. look for something that can go down to 39Hz or lower and put out 126dB RMS. Keep in mind too that the lower sound goes the harder it is to replicate and the more power it needs, I've worked shows where our subs blow breakers because the base went so low that the sub could handle it but the breaker was overdrawn.
I got this from a friend used for half the new price and was looking the sub was also cheaper to buy new a few years ago so not really a fair comparison. Yorkville also has a great warranty and support.
Update: I made an error in the video its not horn loaded its bass reflex. Also for the more technical people... the is a very obvious difference in quality between this and the ZXA1, it goes lower in frequency and slightly louder. But being a 12 inch sub its still far from comparable to a 15 or 18 inch. Personally if your going to get just one of these I would spend a little extra and get the 15 inch model.

Great review 😀
Thank you 👍
Thanks!
It will be nice if you compare against the ev elx12 s maybe the yorville have lil more punch but it will be a equal fight bro.😁

Why did you choose this over something like the RCF 705 asii? Same price, but the 705 seems like so much more sub...

Thanks , at the price it sells for not a great deal is it ?
I do think the MSRP is a bit high for the output that it has, for example an extra $100-200 will get you the 15inch version,
I just got the 12 , it is amazing .
Nice job 👍
Pay extra and get the 15” sub.
