What causes this rust? Clogged drain holes?
From what I could tell I would say no because the plugs on the bottom of the rocker are sealed really well, the only drain was on the front by the fender, I would have to say it was caused by road conditions like salt, rock chips, etc. This car has been in ohio probably since it was new and ohio winters hate metal,. If you would want to prevent this from happening I'd suggest spraying cavity wax inside the entire rocker and qaurter and regularly checking for rock chips and scratches, especially before winter if you live in a northern area. Preventive maintenance is the best practice before the rust has started. I hope this has helped. Thanks for watching! And thanks for the comment!
